Abstract:With the arrival of the Internet Age and the increasing power of the media,online live broadcasts become a new landscape in the criminal trial.Online live broadcasts provide us with important data for analyzing China's criminal trial mode when the transparency of China's criminal trial is not adequate.The questionnaire survey shows that most people involved in the survey affirmed online live broadcasts as a new way of procedure disclosure.At the same time,many people pointed out some defects of online trials,such as too simple cases,too many factors of formalism.We can attempt to improve online criminal trial by normalizing the initial procedure,selection standards and specific rules of online live broadcasts.The survey explores some key ways of reforming China's current criminal trial mode from some profile,which include promoting the equal adversaries between the procurator and the accused,keeping witnesses being testified on court,protecting the rights of the accused.

Abstract:From a global perspective,although the protection of freedom of expression will still be a problem in many countries,the new challenge of freedom of expression in the age of Internet is that people with ability and freedom to communicate freely tend to communicate only with people they agree with.This kind of ineffective communication leads to not only some negative consequences as "debates and communication cannot help people get close to the truth," but also to some serious negative ramifications as political division and social contradiction.In 2004,Ronald Dworkin delivered his concern in his writings on political division in American democracy.He also put forward his theoretical solution —"return to the common background." However,Dworkin's solution is more like an ideal one lack of practical strategy and workable operation.This article proposes a principle of "New Public Forum" and expects to solve the problem on a systematic,strategic and operational level.The principle of traditional public forum considers its main goal as solving the dilemma between the valuable role of mass media and the right of individuals to express freely and effectively.Today we have to deal with another dilemma because whereas the internet improves people's capability of sending and receiving information and expressing their opinions,the effectiveness of communication itself is still being threatened.Cyberkans,a phenomenon of worldwide network Balkanization,is the linchpin in this dilemma.Cyberkans results from complex factors such as political and legal policies,business strategies of Internet product manufacturers and a more crucial one that ordinary people as consumers tend to choose the internet product to help them filter for favorable information and opinions.In the Internet era,people not only rely on information filtration,but also prefer and actively choose filtering tools.They are fond of "personalized" products,which inevitably lead to information "cocoon" and "Daily Me." That is why people with different values,different preferences and different interests are easily separated and divided into different groups.Furthermore,opinions and beliefs in divided groups tend to become extreme in the process of "Group Polarization," which intensifies social contradictions and affects social stability because of the lack of effective debate and communication.Malfunction of the marketplace of opinions,group polarization and tagging tendency all manifest certain kind of ineffective communication resulting from Cyberkans. There are at least two solutions for these problems.The first one is to remove all separation institutes and integrate all information into one platform.This proposal fundamentally denies the network users' choices and overthrows market mechanism in the Network Economy,that's why it can only be applied to some web sites of government and other public service departments.The second solution is to establish a new kind of "Public Forum" for effective communication meanwhile keeping commodity market of internet working by itself.This new Public Forum Doctrine includes the test of extensity,compatibility and,the most important,efficiency.Extensity Test requires the forum to reach as many opinion groups as possible.Compatibility Test requires the forum to contain as many different opinions as possible.Efficiency Test requires political debaters to follow certain kind of regulations to make sure debates are reasonable and yield reasonable results.Considering the actual situation in China,the traditional mainstream media has the responsibility and capability to become the platform of the new public forum.

Abstract:Taking Japanese car smashing events as research example and Sina as research platform, this paper describes the communication features of microblog and network news in the contexts of public emergency. Meanwhile, taking public opinions on Sina microblog and Si-na news as research object, the communication rules of microblog and network news are described and analyzed in the perspective of public opinions' volume, source and content. The early dissemination patterns of public opinions on microblog and network news are also com-pared and summarized. The results of the study can help us to understand the features and rules of social media and traditional network news through microblog and network news, and can also provide references for early warning and leading of internet public opinions.

Abstract:This paper analyzed the function mechanism of microblog-spread taking"Sanya events about overcharging the tourists"as an example with the help of social physics methods of convex mirror and resonance.And then,the authors discussed the evolution model of public opinion of the special case,which includes three phases of "occurrence→development→involuting",under the impacting of microblog-spread.Finally,the authors explored the facilitating factors of public opinion evolution through the analysis by the platform of"www.weibo reach.com"and the quantitative methods.And the facilitating factors are as follows:the facts covered-up by the supervisors promote the negative situation of net users' emotion;the public opinion leader got involved becomes the catalyst which results in generation and fermentation of the public opinion;and the agenda settings inappropriately makes the administrators miss the opportunity of resolving the public opinion.

Abstract:With its rapid development in recent years, microblog has gradually become the storm center of public opinion and one of the mainstream media. However, behind its flourish, microblog also brings hidden problems such as rumor and defraud, pressing for governance and supervision. With content analysis, this paper studies the heated discussion concerning Jiaxin Yao trial on March 23th, 2011 on Sina microblog. We make sampling analysis of the relevant information on microblog, establish three analytical unit-netizen characteristics, information characteristics and propagation characteristics, and do data statistics after coding. Based on data statistics, an multiple linear regression equation is found to describe the degree of transmission of the topic on microblog, thus outlining a preliminary transmission mechanism of public opinion on microblog. Some suggestions on how to use, supervise and guide the internet public opinion are also included in this paper.

Abstract:In recent years,studies on the impact of internet on civil society in China become a heated field.We review present studies and point out their weaknesses here in a critical and reflective way.First,thanks to NGOs' contribution in 2008 Wenchuan great earthquake,many scholars overestimate the development of civil society in China;second,under western centrism and technological determinism,they simply interpret the internet as a platform for social forces to challenge the state;third,as to the issue of web public sphere,thinness of theoretical resources,inadequate inquiries of group polarization,and simplistic understanding of rationality in online discussion are major drawbacks.At last,to further the research,we propose some approaches:multiply theoretical foundations,shift research perspectives,explore new research methods and select proper methodology consciously and reflectively.

Abstract:As a recently emerged information service on the Chinese Internet, online public opinion analysis (网络舆情分析) is a type of service to monitor, assess, and synthesize online public communication through automated software and trained individuals. This article provides an industry overview of the rise of online public opinion in China and examines the political economy of the People’s Public Opinion Office. Second, this article looks at the marketing of the profession in news coverage, training materials, as well as published interviews with People’s Public Opinion Office’s managers and experts. Through a close reading of People’s Public Opinion Office’s published annual reports from 2007 to 2016 focusing on the issue of online rumor, this article delineates how the identification and prognostics of online rumor evolves with the State’s anti-rumor campaign that aims to forestall or pacify collective action. In sum, this article sets to examine the professionalization and industrialization of online public opinion analysis as a part of the co-evolutionary dynamics between the state and civil society in China. Using the government’s anti-rumor campaign as an example, this article critically investigates the mediating role online public opinion analysis plays in the “sausage factory” of public opinion gauging and monitoring, which sets the basis upon which policymaking process is guided and justified.

Abstract:Drawing on data from internet search engine service and using time series analysis,this research testify the agenda-setting effect caused by the internet gossip diffusion based on the theoretical frame of internet agenda melding in the context of social media and the cascade dynamics of agenda setting by Michael Scharkow etc.The author finds that the magnification of gossip caused by social media leads the agenda-setting effect and gossip generated by social media plays an intervening variable in the internet agenda-setting progress.

Abstract:2008 provides a best opportunity for the study of image of China.Of all the events in 2008 the climax is Beijing Olympic Games.After the games,there is a different China:to some extent the games has changed the face of the country;and China has a different self opinion as well.It is a heatedly debated issue as to where China is going,as a rising star in the world politics. On August 24,the day after the ending ceremony of the Olympic Games,a news analysis by Jim Yardley was published in the New York Times,entitled After Glow of Games,What Next for China? The article brought about 87 readers' comments with different opinions,of which 77 comments got readers' recommendations,from 88 to one,and the NYT editors selected eight to recommend.This paper is a textual analysis of this case. In doing research,first,I read through the Yardley article and all the 87 comments to have some ideas of this case.Second,I did some analysis on the text of the Yardley article,revealing some points of view-obvious or latent-of the author about China.Then I categorized the readers' comments into three groups-Yes(for),No(against) or Objective(neutral)-by simple counting,according to their attitudes towards China,instead of the Yardley article.After that I did some textual analysis on readers' comments to see the cyber opinions and their expression. The article is divided into four parts.1.Introduction to the study and the design of the research. 2.Textual analysis on the author's article.3.Research on the readers' comments.4.In conclusion, some thoughts about on-line public discussion and the way to build the Internet public space.

Abstract:Internet public opinion is a complex and changeable system, and its trend development is characterized by explosive, evolutionary uncertainty, concealment and interactivity due to the participation of the vast number of Internet users. Today, with the rapid development of network information technology, public opinion has an increasing influence on the stable development of society. Computational intelligence is the frontier field of artificial intelligence development, and computational intelligence is used to mine and analyze public opinion text information and study the evolution of online public opinion. This paper uses the Changchun Changsheng Vaccine Incident as an example, and the netizens' degree of attention to emergency-related keyword searches in the Baidu Index as a descriptive variable for the development of network public opinion. After applying the optimal segmentation algorithm, the development of public opinion is divided into phases. On this basis, a social network analysis is adopted to analyze the spatial and topological structure of each phase of network public opinion, using data from the Sina Weibo platform. Based on optimal segmentation, the development of network public opinion of the Changchun Changsheng Vaccine Incident can be divided into four phases, namely latent, spreading, control, and stable; each phase has different spatial and topological characteristics. Corresponding policy suggestions on network public opinion governance are put forward for each phase.

Abstract:Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the epidemic has had a great impact on the lives and health of the public, and the issue of discrimination among people recovering from COVID-19 has become a major issue of public concern. In the new media era, Weibo have become the main platform for news dissemination and opinion diffusion. For this reason, this study adopts the content analysis method and selects the content of Peng Pai News' reports on the issue of coronavirus and its discrimination and the hot search comments on the Weibo platform as the research object. The study also analyzes the factors influencing the framing effect in the new media environment and draws out methods to enhance the framing effect of new media in public crisis.

Abstract:Network public opinion analysis is of great significance to grasp the development trend of hot events and provide policy guidance. Therefore, systematically sorting out the evolutionary trends and research hotspots of research in this field can provide references and references for conducting network public opinion analysis as well as provide guidance for public opinion monitoring of regulatory authorities. To this end, 677 articles firstly selected in the field of network public opinion analysis that published in from 2014 to 2020 from the core database of Web of Science (WOS). Then Citespace was used to perform scientific measurement and visual analysis on them by building and analyzing knowledge graphs from multiple perspectives such as the distribution of research power of countries, institutions, authors and journals, etc. Finally, this paper discovered the research hotspots and evolution trends of the research in this field. Research methods have undergone an evolutionary process from statistics-based, machine learning algorithms to sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis, social media and opinion discovery have become the hotspots in present research as well as the trend in future research.

Abstract:Internet public opinion is an influential and tendentious opinion or speech expressed by the public on the Internet to a certain focus, which has formed a powerful force of public opinion. Internet public opinion has become a concentrated reflection of public opinion, opening up another channel to truly reflect public opinion, and effectively promoting the supervision of government officials and their decisions. In view of the strong emotional weakness of the current network public opinion, we can train forum opinion leaders to guide the public opinion with affinity and consideration, and select and enlarge the network public opinion by connecting the traditional media.

Abstract:With the development of the Internet era, the new media environment has also given rise to new forms of crises. Sudden public events always become the focus of public opinion on the Internet and spread rapidly across the network, spreading to a large area within a short period time, making it difficult for the government to guide public opinion and posing a serious threat to the image, survival and development of the government. Taking the sudden public event "Wuhan City Closure" as an example, this paper compares the public opinion guidance strategies and effects of the relevant media, considers positive public relations and image restoration theories as to the three-level coding standards for the construction of rooted theory, and uses qualitative research methods to investigate the government's public opinion guidance strategies and effects in the context of crisis communication.
