Abstract:To improve the torque estimation accuracy of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), a novel high-accuracy torque estimation method based on search coils (SCs) is proposed in this paper. Initially, typical torque estimation methods such as the voltage model method, current model method, voltage-current model method, power method, and lookup table method are introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed. Subsequently, the basic principle of the SCs is analyzed and the signal processing process of the SCs is introduced. The flux linkage information of the motor is directly obtained by measuring the back electromotive force (EMF) of the windings, thereby achieving high-precision torque estimation. The method is minimally affected by motor parameters and losses, and its estimation accuracy is not influenced by motor temperature. Finally, the simulation and experimental platform of the 6 kW IPMSM are built. The simulation and experimental results show that the torque estimation method based on SCs has high accuracy and stability, and the maximum torque estimation error does not exceed 2%. The experimental results are consistent with the theoretical expectations, validating the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
