Application of Nano-Technology to Surface Coatings

Abstract:The application of nano-techology to paints and plating was introduced.Nano-techology can improve the paints performance,enhance its hardness and oxidation resistance,and made it endowed with photocatalysis,antibiosis,electromagnetic absorption,color change with different angles,and hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties toward water or oil.The electrodepositing method for the preparation of nano-deposit was introduced,including direct current electrodeposition,pulse electrodeposition and composite electrodeposition.The nano-coatings have been applied widely to the industry,environment,medicine,military,science and technology,and have extensive application prospect.
