Abstract:Human-computer interaction interface design not only improves the efficiency of information interaction,but also brings user physical and mental pleasure. In the development of remote mechani-cal design service system,besides what the system must possess is implemented,an operation interface which is accords with principle of human-computer information interaction is designed for system. According to the functional requirements of WEB based mechanical design service system,an ergonomics analysis is conducted on the system interface design,theoretical basis of that in the guidance of cognitive psychology has been discussed,some design principle and the design flow and the method of human-computer information interaction system interface design based on cognitive psychology is put forward. Then it is verified the feasibility and practicality of the principles and methods mentioned by giving an example of interface design of web based gear design service system.

Abstract:Human-machine interface ergonomics design and evaluation can not only affect the efficiency of interaction, but also affect the operation safety. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an effective human-machine ergonomics evaluation method to evaluate the human-machine ergonomics design. This paper proposed a human-machine interface evaluation criterion based on visual perception intensity and a contrast criterion for image processing, and built an evaluation software. The software built was based on Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. Besides, the interface of the software was written in C++ programming language. The software included three functional modules: calculating the interface visual perception index, calculating the interface contrast ratio, and the interface ergonomics evaluation result. The simulation results suggested that the software built can be used to evaluate the human-machine interface and can effectively avoid the potential subjective influence of the experimenter in the traditional evaluation.

Abstract:Analyzing the interaction characteristics and Chinese network users behavior, this article puts forward computer-human interface design principles of the Chinese Website. The author discusses basic principles of user interface design in the following aspects: convey information, page layout, texts, paragraph formatting, images, lists, icons, etc., also advances comparatively systematic theories of graphic design language characteristics of Webpage based on Chinese traditional culture. The paper points to four graphic design language characteristics: systematic relationship, equilibrium and symmetry, line is grace and curve is force, unification of form change and stability.

Abstract:In the product emotional design era, the website homepage design, especially the aesthetic design, has become a key factor that influences users' first impressions, attitudes and behaviors. Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory, the current study examines the mechanism through which the aesthetic design of a comprehensive job-hunting website homepage affects users' satisfaction. Emotion and perceived ease of use were used to describe users' internal evaluation to the homepage (i.e. organism). The Structural Equation Modeling method was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The empirical evidence shows that aesthetic formality does not have a significant impact on positive arousal, but it has positively influences on energetic arousal through its impact on aesthetic appeal. The other hypotheses proposed in this study are all been supported. The additional results, i.e. the effects of three key design elements on homepage aesthetics, are found. The aim of this study was to provide practical recommendation in the establishment of a pattern of webpage aesthetics that influences users' satisfaction. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract:With the popularity of Web 2.0 applications, there is a new trend in the way the Internet is used: creating a more user-centered approach to content management, information sharing, communications, teamwork, and more. Interaction and experience in web design become even more important. Positive user experience allows users to easily and efficiently complete the task, increase intimacy, comfort and sense of success, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and enhance brand reputation. Website user experience design has become the respectable business occupation of the market, the key to winning customers. At present, most of the design of the Web interface in our country still stays in the imitation stage. Research on the Web user experience is only confined to some fragmented design theories, and there is a big gap compared with the foreign industry. In the face of new technologies and new needs of users, academics and industrial designers face enormous challenges. How to provide a systematic and effective method of development for the design and implementation of website user experience has become the focus of this article. This article is a bold attempt at the integration of psychological, behavioral, artistic and technical multidisciplinary approaches in the design of web user interface. Combined with the experimental analysis of a large number of well-known website examples, this article is validated both theoretically and practically this paper propose the scientific and important design principles and methods.

Abstract:This paper proposes a useful method to understand the relationship between web design elements, Kansei evaluation and users' emotions based on Kansei Engineering, taking E-commerce sites for example. Firstly it establishes customers' evaluation image words through a survey of the web interface preference. Then it collects the data of Kansei evaluation and users' emotions to different websites by an emotion assessment test. Lastly it builds the relation models between web design elements, Kansei evaluation and users' emotions using the quantification theory I and partial least squares (PLS) method, and confirms the validity of the models.

Human Factors and Ergonomics in Manufacturing & Service Industries

Abstract:Webpage design has become an important component affecting user satisfaction when they surf the Internet. Interface designers are struggling to improve the quality of user experience by designing webpages that meet users' emotional needs. An optimization design method of webpage interface is proposed in this study based on Kansei engineering theory, and a job-hunting website homepage is taken as the research example. After determining the materials, the semantic differential SD method is used to extract user-centered emotional dimensions, and the key design factors of homepages' appearance are acquired. Next, based on the obtained semantic differential evaluation data, back propagation neural network BPNN is conducted to identify quantitative relations between key design factors and emotional dimensions. Finally, genetic algorithm GA is employed to search for a near-optimal design. The proposed method is helpful to design webpages that can satisfy participants' emotions. It can also be used in a variety of design cases.

Abstract:In order to improve the design efficiency and quality,a new method for human-computer interface design,which considers human visual attention and ergonomics,is proposed.The visual attention of human-computer interface is analyzed and calculated by a context-aware saliency detection algorithm and the visual attention map is established.Meantime,the importance and frequency of use of each component is obtained by the users’investigation.And the significance distribution map of human-computer interface is drawn.By comparing the two maps,the designer can estimate if the component with high significance has high visual attention or not.Studying the design of human computer interaction interface of intelligent mobile phone,the proposed method is validated.The results show that the proposed method optimizes the user’s visual characteristics.Compared with the traditional method, the quality and efficiency of the human-computer interaction interface design is improved.The designed human-computer interaction interface enhances the user’s interactive experience.

Abstract:The architecture of ergonomics simulation and evaluation for the automobile was described. Ergonomics analysis and evaluation is one of the most important processes in product design at present. This ergonomics simulation system based on the elements of ergonomics analysis and evaluation can provide an excellent solution to take human element into account earlier in the design phase and make proactive choices in automobile design than those traditional methods. Thinking of the characteristics of the automobile industry, this system adopted the anatomy-based and parameterized human model for Chinese, the simulation technique using motion editing and the mathematical models of ergonomics to solve real ergonomic design problems in the design phases.

Abstract:The progress and deficiencies in interface aesthetics research and aesthetics evaluation were analyzed.By integrating the theories and methods of kansei engineering,graphics,systems engineering,psychophysics and other disciplines,a new interface aesthetic evaluation method was proposed.In this paper,firstly,the perceptual image structure of interface aesthetics was analyzed,and it was found that balance,proportion,simplicity and echo were key potential factors influencing user aesthetic experience.Twelve aesthetic indexes and the evaluation system of interface aesthetic were built.Secondly,gray relational analysis was applied to analyze the aesthetic dominance orders of the design cases,and then aesthetics comprehensive evaluations were enforced.Finally,a prototype system of interface aesthetics evaluation was developed;and corresponding function modules including information encoding,aesthetics calculation and design cases comprehensive evaluation were introduced.The comparative experiment result through the normal paired comparison method in psychophysics verified that the system and method proposed in the paper were feasible and effective.

Abstract:Aesthetic evaluation of increasingly complex and personalized human–computer interaction interfaces serves as a critical bridge between humans and machines, fundamentally enhancing various interaction factors. This study addresses the challenges in aesthetic evaluation by adjusting existing methodologies to incorporate seven aesthetic metrics: density, symmetry, balance, proportionality, uniformity, simplicity, and sequence. These metrics were effectively integrated into a composite evaluation metric through both multiple regression analysis and entropy methods, with the efficacy of both fitting methods validated. Leveraging automatic segmentation and recognition technology for interface screenshots, this research enables rapid, automated acquisition of evaluations for the seven metrics and the composite index, leading to the development of a prototype system for interface layout aesthetic assessment. Aimed at reducing the time, manpower, and resources required for interface evaluation, this study enhances the universality, compatibility, and flexibility of layout assessments. It promotes integration at any stage of the design process, significantly benefiting lightweight rapid evaluation and iterative design cycles, thereby advancing the field of interface aesthetic evaluation.
