User-centered framework for assessing the performance of smart car cockpits

Abstract:Smart systems are becoming more prevalent in the automobile sector as both intelligence and network connectivity continue to advance. The goal of the study is to provide an ergonomics evaluation approach that is accurate and realistic for newly developing smart cockpits in the automotive industry an ergonomics evaluation technique for smart cockpits, which are showing up increasingly frequently in contemporary cars. Noise, light, temperature, and human–computer interfaces (HCI) are a few examples of the variables that affect passenger comfort and user experience in smart cockpits. To evaluate and enhance these elements, a trustworthy approach must be established. They concentrated on gathering data regarding the four main ergonomics-affecting variables: noise, brightness, temperature, and HCI smart manufacturing technologies incorporation into the cockpit’s design. The effectiveness of the manufacturing to produce these cockpits, including automation, data analytics, and supply chain management, is evaluated. The exploratory evaluation used a questionnaire to provide weights, and the entropy weighting approach was used to estimate the relative relevance of these aspects using penalty-type change to combine the four index models; a thorough evaluation framework was created. Measurements taken within a car’s cockpit were used in the study to demonstrate the validity of the suggested approach. This viability shows that the approach may successfully assess the degree of ergonomics in a smart cockpit, enabling continual advancements and improvements in the framework. The objective is to improve the smart cockpit user experience and encourage the development of more user-friendly smart cockpit solutions in the automobile sector.
