Abstract:The music appreciation course is one of the main elective courses offered in colleges and universities.By enjoying the classical music works of the Chinese and foreign outstanding musician,it makes students experience gracious thought and sentiment,thus widen the vision of students,inspire their intelligence and creating thinking,promote the student's development in an all-round way. It is an important means of quality--oriented education. The current situation of music appreciation teaching in colleges and universities is allowing of no optimist. There exist a great deal of questions and deficiencies on teaching purpose,content and method. The teaching refom is imperative.This text makes a brief discussion on the teaching reform of music appreciation course in the present stage from the following aspects. First of all,at the teaching content,it is proposed to strengthen the appreciation of nationality traditional music,classical music,especially the symphony music.Secondly,in the teaching form,modernized audio-visual equipments should be used to strengthen students,participation of emotion sense.Finally,f1exible teaching method should be used,such as dynamic teaching method,put questions method,image combination method. In a word,the reform of music appreciation course teaching will train the comprehensive music appreciation ability of students,make them obtain noble sentiment and lofty moral character,make them to be the inter-disciplimIγtalent of "mastering many skins while specializing in one ",through which the music education will really become the important component in overall development education.
