Abstract:In the title compound, C(8)H(5)NOS(2), the non-H atoms are approximately coplanar [maxium deviation = 0.060 (3) Å]. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the pyridine and 1,3-dithiol-2-one rings is 5.96 (17)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and by an S⋯S close contact [3.510 (5) Å].

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In both of the two independent molecules of the title compound, [Cu(C9H7NO3)(C5H5N)(H2O)], the copper atom is in a square-pyramidal coordination with the apical site occupied by water. The two molecules are related by a non-crystallographic center of inversion. Hydrogen bonds link symmetry-equivalent molecules into zigzag chains that run along the a axis of the orthorhombic unit cell.

Abstract:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(18)H(12)N(6)S(2), contains one half-mol-ecule situated on a twofold rotational axis that passes through the mid-point of the S-S bond. In the mol-ecule, the C-S-S-C torsion angle is 81.33 (7)°. The crystal packing exhibits no significantly short inter-molecular contacts.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C6H6N4S2)(2)(H2O)(2)][Ni(C7H3NO4)(2)] (.) 5H(2)O, consists of Ni-II complex cations, Ni-II complex anions and five uncoordinated water molecules. In both the complex cation and anion, the Ni II ions assume a distorted octahedral coordination. There is extensive hydrogen bonding between water molecules, complex cations and complex anions.

Abstract:The title compound, [Cu(C(4)H(4)O(5))(C(6)H(6)N(4)S(2))].H(2)O, displays a square-pyramidal coordination geometry. The tridentate oxydiacetate dianion chelates the Cu(II) atom in the facial mode. The large difference [0.487 (4) A] between the longest Cu-O distance in the basal plane and that in the apical direction correlates with the small displacement of the Cu(II) atom [0.0576 (13) A] from the basal plane towards the apex of the square pyramid. The intermolecular hydrogen-bonding network results in a closely overlapped arrangement of the coordination basal plane and the thiazole ring of a neighboring molecule.

Abstract:In the title compound, C10H16N2S2+center dot 2Br(-), the pyrrolidine ring displays an envelope conformation, with the flap C atom lying 0.484 (5) angstrom out of the plane of the rest of the pyrrolidine ring. The thioether group connects the pyridine ring and the 2-methylpyrrolidine group. Both pyrrolidine NH bonds form hydrogen bonds to the bromide anions. These hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions in a helical chain along the c axis.

Abstract:In the title compound, [Cu-3(C10H9N3)(3)(C7H3O6S)(2)].3H(2)O, [Cu-3(ssal)(2)(dpa)(3)] units (dpa is 2,2'-dipyridylamine and ssal is 5-sulfonatosalicylate) are found, which consist of one crystallographically independent ssal anion, and two each of crystallographically independent dpa ligands and Cu atoms, the unit lying on a twofold rotation axis. One Cu atom is four-coordinated by one dpa ligand and one ssal anion within a square-planar geometry, whereas the second Cu atom is coordinated by one dpa ligand and two ssal anions which are related by symmetry. The first Cu atom has one longer contact to one O atom of a symmetry-related sulfonate group and is, therefore, five-coordinated within a distorted square-pyramidal coordination. The [Cu-3(ssal)(2)(dpa)(3)] units are connected via the sulfonate groups into layers which are parallel to the ab plane. These layers are further connected by O-H...O and N-H...O hydrogen bonding via the water molecules.

Abstract:In the title compound, C11H18N2S2+center dot 2Br(-), the pyrrolidine ring displays a half-chair conformation, with the flap C atom lying 0.522 (5) angstrom out of the plane of the other four atoms. The methylene C atom, which connects the pyrrolidinium ring and the thioether group, is displaced from the plane of four pyrrolidinium atoms by 0.690 (6) angstrom in the same direction as the flap C atom. The plane of four pyrrolidinium atoms is almost perpendicular to the benzene ring [dihedral angle = 75.02 (4)degrees]. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonds between the N and Br atoms.

Abstract:In the title molecular salt, C12H12N22+·2C7H5O5S−, the complete dication is generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. In the anion, the sulfonic acid group is deprotonated and the dihedral angle between the planes of the carboxylic acid group and the benzene ring is 12.41 (11)°. In the crystal, the anions are linked into inversion dimers by pairs of O—H...O hydrogen bonds, which generate R22(16) loops. The dications link the anion dimers into [10-2] chains via N—H...O hydrogen bonds.
