An Investigation into Non-English Majors' Attitude Toward Peer Response in English Writing

Abstract:In recent years,the student-centered peer response has been used widely in English writing instruction.Most teachers and researchers believe that this teaching way can promote the development of students' writing skills and reading ability.But this is just teachers' view,not students' view.With the question whether students agree to it,an investigation is done into this teaching way among non-English major freshmen in China West Normal University.The result shows that before teachers supply peer response to the non-English major students we should first promote their English ability;otherwise,we cannot get the original goal.
