A Novel Data Processing Circuit in High-Speed Serial Communication

Abstract:A novel data processing circuit in high-speed serial communication has been demonstrated in this work. The circuit, including a serializer and a frequency divider, was developed to convert the transmission signals into the desired format. The chip design is based on TSMC 0.25μm mixed signal model, and semi-custom design methodology is used. Pre- and post-layout simulation results indicated that the speed of circuit has reached 480MHz. Moreover, the data are processed properly in agreement with USB2.0 specification.

Abstract:In view of the complex underwater acoustic channel in underwater acoustic communication system ,the paper proposed a new synchronized method to against extended frequency. The method makes full use of HFM (Hyperbolic Frequency Modulation, HFM) and doppler tolerance characteristics and constructs a special combination of HFM signals, so as to achieve rapid and precise time synchronization. Based on the sea channel data analysis, this method which compared with the traditional synchronization methods has a lower synchronous error and lower computational complexity and faster synchronous rate. The experimental results based on DSPs demonstrate the reliability and effectiveness.

Abstract:An interface based on USB is designed for Data Acquirement System with DSP chips. Cypress EZ-USB technology and FPGA technology were used in this interface. This kind of interface can achieve high speed data communication between the Data Acquirement System and the PC in the USB 1.1 protocol, and it can meet the requirements of high speed and real-time requirements.

Abstract:A TMS320LF2407A-based serial communication system was developed to realize communications between digital signal processor(DSP) and other controllers.This system employed an Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter(UART) module and a Serial Peripheral Interface(SPI) module to connect the DSP to a host PC and a client display peripheral respectively.Detailed principle and method for hardware design were introduced;communication programs and relative software structure were given.Communication experiments showed that the system was simple in circuit design and stable and accurate in data transmission.It has reference value and practical benefit to exploit communications of DSP system.

Abstract:This article mainly puts forward two methods of serial communication based on the series of ADSP2126X.The first method is to use two FLAGs of ADSP21262 as the receiving and transmitting ports and presents the software to implentment a full-duplex,asynchronous communication with peripherals.The other way is based on DMA and use the synchronous serial ports(SPORTS) cooperating with hardware interrupt to transfer data.

Abstract:In order to reduce the delay time of a TMS320C6713 DSP based digital control system,this paper represents a high speed data exchange board,which includes a 16-bit,40MHz sample rate ADC and a 16-bit,40MHz update rate DAC.The control signals transmission and data access between DSP and Data Exchange Board can be easily achieved through EMIF.It is shown that the time delay of the digital control system can be as low as 1.1μs.

Abstract:Many signal processing applications like blind source signal separation, audio beam etc, require multi-channel synchronous data acquisition. These applications require signal acquired from multiple channels to be digitized synchronously to preserve the phase relationship. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a high speed synchronous multi-channel data acquisition and processing system based on ADS8365, FPGA and DSP. The design takes ADS8365, XC3S200 and TMS320C6747 as the core devices to implement 12 channels of analog signal synchronous data acquisition and real-time processing. FPGA controls A/D synchronously sampling 12 channel of signal after they pass through the conditioning circuits, then, writes the data into an internal FIFO. The internal FIFO will trigger the interrupt of DSP after it is half-full. Finally, DSP will read the FIFO data and make real-time processing. The system test results show that the signal-to-noise ratio of the system is 67.13dB which meets the design requirements.

A message specification is presented that supports the communications between DSPs. It is used to implement the point-to-point communication between two DSPs. Abstract:An speech compression scheme suitable to the transmission of middle-tolow bit-rate speech signal is proposed. Using this scheme, the sample rate is reduced from 8k/s to 4k/s while keeping the 64kb/s standard and maintaining good semantic discrimination. The main algorithm of this scheme, time-domain harmonic scaling is discussed in detail and the implementation of this algorithm in DSK Plus is illustrated.

Abstract:In order to improve the multi-processor communication speed in multi-processor control system of high-speed data acquisition based on DSP such as Electrical jacquard detector, the paper presents the design of hardware circuit of 5402 HPI and computer parallel ports communication, and software design as well. Based on the integrated enhanced 8-bit HPI on -chip peripheral of TMS320VC5402DSP, the new design can realize the high-speed communication without any additional handshake protocol. The scheme has been used in Electrical jacquard detector and has been found to have a good effect.
