Abstract:Dong Zhongshu’s Confucianism is centered on the relationship between nature and humans, and the spiritual essence of his thought is generally summarized by the response between nature and humans.However, in Luxuriant Gems of The Spring and Autumn Annals, Dong Zhongshu’s use of “tian” has its unique features, involving philosophical basis, personality attributes and ethical stance, etc., mainly including Heaven, all under heaven, the Son of Heaven, the way of heaven, the number of things in nature,inborn, the will of Heaven, the rules of heaven, the mandate of heaven, opportune time, the will of heaven,the virtue of heaven, the system of heaven, the principles of heaven, the ethic of heaven, and the mind of heaven, which actually constitute a complete whole in his ideological system rather than a contradictory or chaotic form.
