Mental Training for the Freestyle Skiing Aerials Team in Preparing for the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games

Abstract:From December 2008 to February 2010,in the course of helping the freestyle aerials team preparing for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and grasping the key point of self confidence and self control,the author used the monitoring means of mental test and self-monitoring to start creatively the mental training and psychological consultation in the ways of collective lecture,individual consultation,theme discussion,biofeedback training,theme visit and psychology propaganda.To some extent,this helped the athletes face the difficulties positively,perform excellently in major competitions and enhance cognitive level.Meanwhile,based on the dialectical thought and Chinese culture,a systematic mental training model with the core of self confidence,self control and self development and the target of training and forming good behavior and thinking was established.The article comprehensively sums up the research route,research results and mental training experience of the mental training for the freestyle aerials team preparing for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
