Abstract:Rural planning and construction carries influential natural, economic, social and cultural connotation. The problem of rural features deficiency has prevailed in current Chinese rural planning and construction practice. Based on the problems revealed in rural planning and construction process in Zhejiang Province in China, the article presented a way of recognizing different rural landscape styles, and put forward guiding ideas and spatial strategies for the planning and construction of rural features, from the perspective of ecological system, production system, and living system (namely “EPL” system). Such research might provide guidance for the current construction of Chinese rural features.

Abstract:This paper investigates ways of deploying ecological principles in the planning and design practice of landscape architecture. As a modern profession, one of the central tasks of landscape architecture is of protecting and recovering our environment. The profession is now in the demand in China, because of China’s rapid urban development and the consequent environmental problems. A case study of the planning and design of the Li Lake area provides evidence of how the profession is carrying out such a task. The study also identifies the disconnection between ecological and cultural strategies for recovering a particular landscape.

Abstract:Landscape design for a green community should be favorable for the ambient ecological environment and for enhancement of both the local climate of a residential area and the environmental quality of life. This paper presents optimization methods for plant landscape design that take account of results of comparisons of noise reduction effects, heat island temperature decreases and effects on ventilation. These methods are based on different plant configurations and various luminous environments, such as exterior sunshine and shaded areas after the simulation of exterior luminous, acoustic and thermal environments of a residential area using the analytic software ECOTECT, CADNA/A, and PHEONICS. Three different types of residential buildings are simulated including a faculty apartment in the Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University, the Huaqing Villa and the Gangwan Jiayuan faculty apartment of Zhejiang University, China, based on green building design theory. In addition, the methods and process flow of landscape design of green residential areas are also described for the improvement of the exterior physical living environment.

Abstract:The paper has analyzed college campus landscape,and pointed out problems existing in college campus currently.It considers that college campus landscape design should follow the principles of continuity,ecology,people orientation,and humanism,all of which have been analyzed by taking campus landscape design of Shenyang Jianzhu University as an example.As for landscape design methods with campus spirit,it should create environmental style by combining with native ecology,pay attention to the protection of historical environment and construction of memorial environment,and meanwhile integrate modern spirit.

Abstract:The new design concept of being human-centered and emphasizing the organic construction of the ecological environment is progressively gaining popularity because of the growing influence of ecology, green building, and environmental protection theories. By examining the landscape architecture of colleges and universities, this study aims to investigate the principles of ecological and environmental protection and to advance the development of the ecological environment on campus. As a result, this study uses Jilin Communications Polytechnic as an example to discuss the state of the research on campus landscape design in Jilin province and its significance, examines the process of campus landscape design under the concept of ecological and environmental protection after introducing the study object, assessment indexes, and constituent aspects of campus landscape design. The findings indicate that the ecological protection concept-based landscape design mode exhibits the vitality of ecological landscape design, produces significant ecological benefits for university campuses, and significantly enhances the ecological environment of university campuses. This paper reconstructs the gradually disappearing natural landscape system of the university campus, effectively promotes the healthy development of university campus ecology, emphasizes the ecological design with inherent cultural connotation and esthetic significance, and fully demonstrates the vitality of ecological landscape design, thus creating great ecological benefits for a university campus, effectively improving the ecological environment of university campus, and providing reference for further research on campus landscape design of Jilin province under the concept of ecological environmental protection.

Abstract:The growing impact of ecological theories and environmental preservation has resulted in a movement towards people-oriented design approaches for ecological landscape creation. However, certain university campuses continue to suffer hardships due to underutilized terrains and severe damage caused by large-scale earthworks. Given the new waves of campus growth, there is an urgent need to address these difficulties and consider the planning and design of natural biological landscapes on various campuses of Jiangsu province. A more scientific approach to maintaining ecological balance, protecting biodiversity, and increasing landscape variation on campuses may be taken by combining ecological environment conservation with university landscape design. Based on summarizing and analyzing previous research, this paper takes the Nanjing Communications Institute of Technology as a case study and expounds on the research status and significance of university campus landscape design in Jiangsu Province. Firstly, this study elaborates on the background, current status and future challenges of the concept of ecological environment protection, introduces the study objects, indicators and constituent elements of landscape design of the university campus, and conducts the ecological analysis. Secondly, this paper uses regression analysis to investigate the complex interactions between ecological features and the Ecological Balance Index (EBI) in university campus landscape design. Our suggested design reveals links between various design aspects and overall ecological-aesthetic attributes Inspired by the Principle of Landscape Diversity Design. In addition, we quantified landscape diversity and spatial optimization using the Shannon Diversity Index and Space Utilization Efficiency. Third, this research analyzes the space and visual forms of the landscape on the university campus and proposes a landscape design model for it using ecological environment protection. Third, it explores the expression methods of ecological environment protection and conducts the space division and index selection of landscape design. Finally, this paper discusses the landscape design approaches for university campuses to protect the ecological environment. In experimental work, the paper evaluates and compares several landscape design methodologies. Our proposed design exceeded previous approaches in terms of ecological balance (83%), aesthetic appeal (91%), and sustainability (93%). The proposed design is beneficial in protecting the environment and improving the overall quality of university campuses. These findings provide useful insights and references for future study in landscape design for university campuses in Jiangsu Province under the ecological environment preservation paradigm.

Meanwhile, university campus is a place that integrates education, living, communication and other functions, the satisfaction of which will surely have significant impact on students’ potential and their health both physically and mentally. In view of this, this paper built up the comprehensive evaluation indicator system from the perspective of safety, health, convenience, comfort and sustainability and performed satisfaction evaluation on campus environment, taking the five campuses of Zhejiang University for example. Abstract:With the continuous progress of social civilization, colleges and universities have become more and more concerned about campus landscape construction. Construction of campus environment is good for college students study and life, excellent campus landscape design is not only beneficial for the physical and mental development of students, but also cultivate the students' sentiment. Thus, a good campus landscape design is an important embodiment of campus architecture and culture. Whether the traditional Oriental classic campus landscape design or the modern design that contains the western art culture breath, it is easy to see in each campus landscape construction. In this paper, we will discuss these opportunities and challenges which the campus landscape construction design faced in the progress of being created. The analysis of the need to follow in the process of the construction of campus ecological principles, respectively is a collaborative environment, function and practical, and the principle of adjust measures to local conditions, finally the main content of the construction of university campus landscape were summarized, learned that the university campus ecological landscape construction in university culture and ecology research has important practical significance.

Abstract:Green campus, as the practice carrier of higher education, concerns the long-term plan of the country. In this paper, first of all, many problems existing in the current construction of green campus in China have been sorted out from the perspective of ecological civilization, through the layer by layer analysis of the meaning and development process of green campus, and then, countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of green campus in colleges and universities in China are put forward according to their actual situation: strengthening the publicity of ecological knowledge, guiding students to participate in the construction of green campus; guiding the scientific and reasonable development of specialty, integrating the concept of ecological civilization into the curriculum system; improving the form of administrative level system, and establishing a green organizational structure.

Abstract:It was highlighted that image,brand,honor and quality of a university was closely related to its landscape environment,therefore,high-quality campus landscapes are necessary for all universities,and characteristics of campus landscapes should be understood first to create a modern campus with favorable ecological conditions,beautiful scenery,vitality and cultural aura.On this basis,characteristics of campus landscapes were further studied,and it was pointed out that campus landscapes was actually an organic growth process;a material carrier of humanistic spirits of the university showing its spiritual horizons and features,creating a favorable environment for students,and also playing the role of moral education;and a kind of special green spaces with comprehensive social functions,which could integrate into the overall environment of the city with its multiple attributes,scales and functions,while its communication spaces were parts of the urban recreational and communication spaces,thus management of campus landscapes tended to the socialization.Through analyzing and elaborating natural features of campus landscapes,this study aimed at promoting and providing references for the construction of modern campus landscapes.
