Abstract:Adopting interpretations of the word“Architec- ture Object”as start-point and the close relationship be- tween function and contour which are essential to the concept (Architecture Object)as criteria,this essay reviews the“five Points of New Architecture”proposed by Le Corbusier in his early age,trying to investigates the reasons why these features so obvious in his early works--the pilotis,the free plan,the free facade,the long horizontal sliding window and finally the roof garden- faded out or altered in the later works.

Abstract:Architectural and structural design work of roof system of Yueqing Olympic Center are roughly reviewed in the present paper.The stadium with lunar shape adopts a novel type of spatial cable-frames. System constitution of this stadium is different because of braced radial cables and open-mouth hoop cable. The gymnasium and swimming arena adopt a new latticed-shell-string system with non-vertical compression bars and spatial hoop cables.Structural design of steel works of Yueqing Olympic center is in accordance with mechanical rules and restrictions but not constrained by common concepts.It is a little challengeable in some aspects.The present paper aims at roughly review of some key design techniques of new types of large-span spatial structures.Emphasis is put on the process of architectural design and structural design when they do not coincided with each other at the preliminary design stage.

Abstract:Considering the Characteristics of architecture scheme design, a new approach based on support housing design scheme is presented. It supports generating the visual presentation from the abstract scheme, and supports the semiautomatic modification at multiple abstract levels of representation scheme, which makes the CAD system more powerful and easier to use. The approach has been implemented in a CAAD (Computer Aided Architecture Design) system.

Abstract:This article discusses about some buildings on Chang An Boulevard in Beding with the methodology of semeiology. Under the discussion we could find that there are some architecture culture symbolic phenomena on the buildings. They are the codes of ages, the culture codes, the sex codes, symbolic expression, display of riches and architectural aphasia, mixed up signs and so on. Some of the designs on architectural codes are good and successful and others are unsuccessfully expressed.

Abstract:The layout of temple adopted the multi-ply courtyards, As a rule, the Buddhist temple usually builds magnificent with large scale and impressive-looking.some large Buddhist temple set out two pavilions to the each side of main hall (namely the left bell tower ,the right scriptures stored building), Other buildings, for example, the gate, attached hall generally adopts multi-storied more than flat form and turrets are established to four corner of the temple. All these layout characteristics and art features of building are present in the reconstruction architecture of An guo temple,in t'ang dynasty in Zhejiang province.
