Abstract:Adopting interpretations of the word“Architec- ture Object”as start-point and the close relationship be- tween function and contour which are essential to the concept (Architecture Object)as criteria,this essay reviews the“five Points of New Architecture”proposed by Le Corbusier in his early age,trying to investigates the reasons why these features so obvious in his early works--the pilotis,the free plan,the free facade,the long horizontal sliding window and finally the roof garden- faded out or altered in the later works.
