Abstract:The bushing faults on the high voltage side of the transformer is one of the main factors leading to transformer failure. In order to realize online monitoring of transformer bushing insulation state, this paper designs a multi-parameter on-line monitoring system whose monitoring parameters including partial discharge, relative tan δ, relative capacitance, hydrogen concentration, oil temperature and oil pressure. An self-compensating zero-magnetic broadband current sensor inside the final screen grounding apparatus measures the partial discharge, relative dielectric loss and relative capacitance. A three-parameter-fusion microsensor fixed at the oil valve measures hydrogen concentration, oil temperature, and oil pressure. Partial discharge signal is measured by pulse current method Hydrogen concentration measurements are based on gas-free separation membrane and palladium alloy membrane technology. The minimum partial discharge measurement is 5pC, the measurement accuracy of the relative dielectric loss and relative capacitance are 0.1% and 2% respectively, and the measurement accuracy of hydrogen concentration is 15%. At the same time both sensors are miniaturized, lightweight and easy to install. The measured data are transmitted to the industrial control computer near the transformer for data processing and analysis. The multi-parameter on-line monitoring system has been operating stably for one year in power system and facilitates accurate real-time monitoring of the bushing insulation state and early elimination of potential failures.
