Abstract:A model of Hopfield neural networks (HNN) with continuously distributed delays is considered. A sufficient condition which guarantees global exponential stability (GES) of an equilibrium point is given based on the method of variation parameter and inequality technique. Compared with the previous methods, our method does not resorting to any Lyapunov functionals.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate impulsive Cohen–Grossberg networks with distributed delays. By Lyapunov–Kravsovskii functional and homeomorphism theory, some new sufficient conditions are established for the existence and global exponential stability of a unique equilibrium without strict conditions imposed on self-regulation functions. The obtained sufficient conditions are easy to verify, meanwhile we remove the usual assumption that the activation functions are bounded and our results improve the previously known results. It is believed that these results are significant and useful for the design and applications of Cohen–Grossberg networks. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract:In this paper, by utilizing the Lyapunov functional method and combining with the linear matrix inequality approach, we analyze the global asymptotic stability of delayed Hopfield neural networks (HNNs). A new sufficient condition ensuring the global stability of the unique equilibrium point of delayed HNNs is obtained, which is dependent on the size of delays. This condition is less restrictive and conservative than that given in the earlier references. In addition, an example is also provided to illustrate the applicability of the result.

Abstract:The problem of analysis of robust stability for time-delayed neural networks with nonlinear perturbation has been investigated via Lyapunov stability theory. The sufficient conditions for robust stability of neural networks with time delays have been developed. The exponential stability criterion for neural networks is also derived. The result includes the information on the state convergence degree of the neural networks. The robust stable criterion in this paper is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

Abstract:Without assuming the boundedness, strict monotonicity and differentiability of the activation functions, the authors utilize the Lyapunov functional method to analyze the global convergence of some delayed models. For the Hopfield neural network with time delays, a new sufficient condition ensuring the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point is derived. This criterion concerning the signs of entries in the connection matrix imposes constraints on the feedback matrix independently of the delay paxameters. From a new viewpoint, the bidirectional associative memory neural network with time delays is investigated and a new global exponential stability result is given.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate dynamics of 2N almost periodic attractors for cellular neural networks (CNNs) with variable and distributed delays. By imposing some new assumptions on activation functions and system parameters, we split invariant basin of CNNs into 2N compact convex subsets. Then the existence of 2N almost periodic solutions lying in compact convex subsets is attained due to employment of the theory of exponential dichotomy and Schauder's fixed point theorem. Meanwhile, we derive some new criteria for the networks to converge toward these 2N almost periodic solutions and exponential attracting domains are also given correspondingly. The obtained results are new and can be applied to a large class of neural networks.

Abstract:In this paper, a class of neutral high-order stochastic Hopfield neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and mixed time delays is investigated. The jumping parameters are modeled as a continuous-time finite-state Markov chain. At first, the existence of equilibrium point for the addressed neural networks is studied. By utilizing the Lyapunov stability theory, stochastic analysis theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique, new delay-dependent stability criteria are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities to guarantee the neural networks to be globally exponentially stable in the mean square. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.

Abstract:The global asymptotic stability of Hopfield neural networks with transmission delays is considered in this Letter. We present a new sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability. This condition is dependent on the size of delays. The result is less conservative than those established in the earlier references. A numerical example is given to illustrate the applicability of this condition.

Abstract:The paper deals with the globally asymptotically stability of dynamical neural networks with time-varying delays. The sufficient conditions for the globally asymptotically stable of the neural networks are obtained by Lyapunov-Razumikhin technique. Particularly, we discuss the stability conditions which do not require the activation functions to be differential, bounded, or monotone nondecreasing. Two examples are also applied to illustrate the efficiency of the results.

Abstract:Globally exponential stability of non-autonomous delayed neural networks is considered in this paper. By utilizing delay differential inequalities, a new sufficient condition ensuring globally exponential stability for non-autonomous delayed neural networks is presented. The condition does not require that the delay function be differentiable or the coefficients be bounded. Due to this reason, the condition improves and extends those given in the previous literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss delayed Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with time-varying and distributed delays and investigate their global asymptotical stability of the equilibrium point. The model proposed in this paper is universal. A set of sufficient conditions ensuring global convergence and globally exponential convergence for the Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with time-varying and distributed delays are given. Most of the existing models and global stability results for Cohen-Grossberg neural networks, Hopfield neural networks and cellular neural networks can be obtained from the theorems given in this paper.

Abstract:If the matrix measure of connection weight of Hopfield-type continuous feedback neural network is less than the reciprocal of maximal product of resistance and gain constants, then the network system is globally and exponentially stable. The above reciprocal is a sharp upper bound of matrix measure of connection weight which guarantees that the above conclusion holds. The above result answers partially the open problem proposed by Vidyasagar recently, i.e. whether neural network with ''nearly'' symmetric connection weight can exhibit limit cycles. The relation between the network time constant and the global exponential convergence rate is pointed out, and application to optimization computation of our results is also given.

Abstract:The paper is devoted to periodic attractor of delayed Hopfield neural networks with time-varying. By constructing Lyapunov functionals and using inequality techniques, some new suffcient criteria are obtained to guarantee the existence and global exponential stability of periodic attractor. Our results improve and extend some existing ones in [13～14]. One example is also worked out to demonstrate the advantages of our results.
