Abstract:By using the usual additive neural-network model, a delay-independent stability criterion for neural dynamics with perturbations of time-varying delays is derived. We extend previously known results obtained by Gopalsamy and He to the time varying delay case, and present decay estimates of solutions of neural networks. The asymptotic stability is global in the state space of neuronal activations. From the techniques used in this paper, it is shown that our criterion ensures stability of neural dynamics even when the delay functions vary violently with time. Our approach provides an effective method for the stability analysis of neural dynamics with delays.

Abstract:The paper deals with the globally asymptotically stability of dynamical neural networks with time-varying delays. The sufficient conditions for the globally asymptotically stable of the neural networks are obtained by Lyapunov-Razumikhin technique. Particularly, we discuss the stability conditions which do not require the activation functions to be differential, bounded, or monotone nondecreasing. Two examples are also applied to illustrate the efficiency of the results.

Abstract:The problem of analysis of robust stability for time-delayed neural networks with nonlinear perturbation has been investigated via Lyapunov stability theory. The sufficient conditions for robust stability of neural networks with time delays have been developed. The exponential stability criterion for neural networks is also derived. The result includes the information on the state convergence degree of the neural networks. The robust stable criterion in this paper is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to stability analysis of a novel delayed neural network, whose neurons are connected with each other through both neurons' feedback connection strength matrix and direct connection strength matrix. Both delay-independent and delay-dependent stability criteria are obtained by integrating LMI approach and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method. By introducing some slack matrix variables, the criteria are less conservative. It is the most efficient for systems with time delay. The criteria are in form of LMI with more slack matrix variables, which may enlarge the range in selecting neural networks' parameters including the upper bound of delay for guaranteeing asymptotic stability of the system. Abstract:This paper is mainly concerned with global exponential stability of time-varying delayed fuzzy inertial neural networks. Different from previous approaches of variable transformation, we use non-reduced order method. Different from previous non-reduced order method used to investigate the inertial neural networks without time-varying delays, we take the time-varying delayed effects into account. By constructing a modified delay-dependent Lyapunov functional and inequality technique, delay-dependent criteria stated with simple algebraic inequalities are given in order to ensure the global exponential stability for the addressed delayed fuzzy inertial neural network model. The approach applied can provide a new method to study the fuzzy inertial neural networks with time delays via non-reduced order method. Some previous works in the literature are extend and complement. Finally, numerical examples with simulations are presented to make comparisons between the system with delays and without delays, and further demonstrate the validity and originality of the proposed approach.

Abstract:Lyapunov functional methods, combining with some inequality techniques, ate employed to study the global asymptotic stability of delayed neural networks. Without assuming Lipschitz conditions on the activation functions, a new sufficient condition is established. Such criteria allows us to include non-Lipschitzian activaition functions,hi the design of delayed neural networks. The result presented here is also discussed from the point of view of its relationship to some previous results.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of stability for recurrent neural networks with time-delay. By choosing a new class of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some new delay-dependent stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The obtained results are less conservative than the existing ones because of the introducing of the triple integral term and reciprocally convex approach. Then, a numerical example is carried out to demonstrate the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed work through simulations.

Abstract:In this paper, without assuming the boundedness, strict monotonicity and differentiability of the activation functions, we utilize a new Lyapunov function to analyze the global convergence of a class of neural networks models with time delays. A new sufficient condition guaranteeing the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point is derived. This stability criterion imposes constraints on the feedback matrices independently of the delay parameters. The result is compared with some previous works. Furthermore, the condition may be less restrictive in the case that the activation functions are hyperbolic tangent.

Abstract:This brief investigates the problem of global exponential stability analysis for discrete recurrent neural networks with time-varying delays. In terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a novel delay-dependent stability criterion is established for the considered recurrent neural networks via a new Lyapunov function. The obtained condition has less conservativeness and less number of variables than the existing ones. Numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:In this paper, the problem of stability analysis is investigated for switched neural networks with time-varying delay using linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. By taking advantage of the average dwell time method, two sufficient conditions are developed to ensure the global exponential stability of the considered neural networks, which are delay-dependent and formulated by LMIs. The state decay estimate is explicitly given. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed techniques.

By utilizing delay differential inequalities, a new sufficient condition ensuring globally exponential stability for non-autonomous delayed neural networks is presented. Abstract:This paper focuses on the new criteria of stability analysis for generalized neural networks (GNNs) subject to time-varying delayed signals. A new methodology is employed with the aids of slack variables. By constructing an augmented Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) involving Newton–Leibniz enumerating and triple integral term, some less conservative conditions are achieved in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Numerical examples including real-time application are given to illustrate the superiority and effectiveness of proposed approach.

Abstract:Research on delayed neural networks with variable self-inhibitions, interconnection weights, and inputs is an important issue. In this paper, we discuss a large class of delayed dynamical systems with almost periodic self-inhibitions, inter-connection weights, and inputs. This model is universal and includes delayed systems with time-varying delays, distributed delays as well as combination of both. We prove that under some mild conditions, the system has a unique almost periodic solution, which is globally exponentially stable. We propose a new approach, which is independent of existing theory concerning with existence of almost periodic solution for dynamical systems.

Abstract:In this paper, by utilizing the Lyapunov functional method and combining with the linear matrix inequality approach, we analyze the global asymptotic stability of delayed Hopfield neural networks (HNNs). A new sufficient condition ensuring the global stability of the unique equilibrium point of delayed HNNs is obtained, which is dependent on the size of delays. This condition is less restrictive and conservative than that given in the earlier references. In addition, an example is also provided to illustrate the applicability of the result.

Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the stability problem for discrete-time switched neural networks with time-varying delay resorting to the average dwell time method. In terms of linear matrix inequality approach, a delay-dependent sufficient condition of exponential stability is developed for a kind of switching signal with average dwell time. Abstract:Some new sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability and estimations of bound on the rate of exponential convergence of the neural networks with time-varying delays are obtained by means of an approach based on delay differential inequality. The method, which does not make use of any Lyapunov functionals, is simple and valid for the stability analysis of neural networks with time-varying delays. Some previously established results in the literature are shown to be special cases of the presented results.

We address the following question: To what extent the time-varying delays can exist while the system is stable? Moreover, a new concept of stability, global mu-stability, is proposed.
