Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. Abstract:This article introduces a weak pseudo-inverse of a monotone function, which is applied to prove that the associativity of a two-place function $T: [0,1]^2\rightarrow [0,1]$ defined by $T(x,y)=t^{[-1]}(F(t(x),t(y)))$ where $F:[0,\infty]^2\rightarrow[0,\infty]$ is an associative function with neutral element in $[0,\infty]$, $t: [0,1]\rightarrow [0,\infty]$ is a left continuous monotone function and $t^{[-1]}:[0,\infty]\rightarrow[0,1]$ is the weak pseudo-inverse of $t$ depends only on properties of the range of $t$.

Abstract:The weak dominance relation between two binary operations was introduced as an extension of the dominance relation and the modularity equation. This paper continues the study of the weak dominance between t-norms and t-conorms. First, we present the characterization of the weak dominance of a nilpotent t-norm over a continuous Archimedean t-norm. Second, we establish the generalized sufficient and necessary conditions for the weak dominance of continuous t-norms over continuous t-norms. Finally, we obtain a generalized characterization of a continuous t-conorm weakly dominating a continuous t-norm by showing that SM weakly dominates any t-norm.

On weakening tightness to weak tightness

Abstract:The weak tightness $wt(X)$ of a space $X$ was introduced in [11] with the property $wt(X)\leq t(X)$. We investigate several well-known results concerning $t(X)$ and consider whether they extend to the weak tightness setting. First we give an example of a non-sequential compactum $X$ such that $wt(X)=\aleph_0<t(X)$ under $2^{\aleph_0}=2^{\aleph_1}$. In particular, this demonstrates the celebrated Balogh's Theorem [5] does not hold in general if countably tight is replaced with weakly countably tight. Second, we introduce the notion of an S-free sequence and show that if $X$ is a homogeneous compactum then $|X|\leq 2^{wt(X)\pi_\chi(X)}$. This refines a theorem of De la Vega [12]. In the case where the cardinal invariants involved are countable, this also represents a variation of a theorem of Juhász and van Mill [15]. Third, we show that if $X$ is a $T_1$ space, $wt(X)\leq\kappa$, $X$ is $\kappa^+$-compact, and $\psi(\overline{D},X)\leq 2^\kappa$ for any $D\subseteq X$ satisfying $|D|\leq 2^\kappa$, then a) $d(X)\leq 2^\kappa$ and b) $X$ has at most $2^\kappa$-many $G_\kappa$-points. This is a variation of another theorem of Balogh [6]. Finally, we show that if $X$ is a regular space, $\kappa=L(X)wt(X)$, and $\lambda$ is a caliber of $X$ satisfying $\kappa<\lambda\leq \left(2^{\kappa}\right)^+$, then $d(X)\leq 2^{\kappa}$. This extends of theorem of Arhangel'skii [3].

Abstract:The dynamics of the quantum entanglement is a fundamental characteristic for various quantum systems. Since the computable entanglement measure for higher dimensional quantum states itself is absent, the dynamics of the entanglement expressed in an operational method will be of interest. We study the dynamics of tau, an analytical lower bound of squared concurrence, of a bipartite d circle times d quantum state when one party goes through an arbitrary noisy channel. For a pure input state, the range of tau is obtained explicitly. For a mixed input state, an upper bound of tau is found. Interestingly, the tangle tau('), as an upper bound of squared concurrence, also has a similar dynamical property. Our results are similar to that of Konrad and can help the estimation of high-dimension bipartite entanglement in experiments.

Abstract:There are two scalings for the convergence analysis of tau-leaping methods in the literature. This paper attempts to resolve this debate in the paper. We point out the shortcomings of both scalings. We systematically develop the weak Ito-Taylor expansion based on the infinitesimal generator of the chemical kinetic system and generalize the rooted tree theory for ODEs and SDEs driven by Brownian motion to rooted directed graph theory for the jump processes. We formulate the local truncation error analysis based on the large volume scaling. We find that even in this framework the midpoint tau-leaping does not improve the weak local order for the covariance compared with the explicit tau-leaping. We propose a procedure to explain the numerical order behavior by abandoning the dependence on the volume constant V from the leading error term. The numerical examples validate our arguments. We also give a general global weak convergence analysis for the explicit tau-leaping type methods in the large volume scaling.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the weak mean metric and give some properties by replacing the Besicovitch pseudometric with weak mean metric in the definition of mean equicontinuity and mean sensitivity. We study an opposite side of weak mean equicontinuity, strong mean sensitivity and we obtain a version of Auslander-Yorke dichotomies: minimal topological dynamical systems are either weak mean equicontinuous or strong mean sensitive, and transitive topological dynamical systemss are either almost weak mean equicontinuous or strong mean sensitive. Furthermore, motivated by the localized idea of sensitivity, we introduce some notions of new version sensitive tuples and study the properties of these sensitive tuples, we show that a transitive dynamical system is strong mean sensitive if and only if it admits a strong mean sensitive tuple. Finally, We introduce the notions of weakly mean equicontinuity of a topological dynamical system respect to a given continuous function $f$, and we show that a topological dynamical system is weakly mean equicontinuity then it is weakly mean equicontinuity with respect to every continuous function.

Abstract:Let (M,g), (N,h) be compact Riemannian manifolds without boundary, and let f be a smooth map from M into N. We consider a covariant symmetric tensor Tf=f⁎h−1m‖df‖2g, where f⁎h denotes the pullback of the metric h by f, and m is the dimension of the manifold M. The tensor Tf vanishes if and only if the map f is weakly conformal. The norm ‖Tf‖ is a quantity which is a measure of conformality of f at each point. In Nakauchi (2011) [5] the second author introduced maps which are critical points of the functional Φ(f)=∫M‖Tf‖2dvg. We call such maps C-stationary maps. Any conformal map or more generally any weakly conformal map is a C-stationary map. It is of interest to find when a C-stationary map is a (weakly) conformal map.In this paper we prove the following result. If f is a stable C-stationary map from the standard sphere Sm (m⩾5) or into the standard sphere Sn (n⩾5), then f is a weakly conformal map.

Abstract:The adapted weak topology is an extension of the weak topology for stochastic processes designed to adequately capture properties of underlying filtrations. With the recent work of Bart–Beiglböck–P. [7] as starting point, the purpose of this note is to recover with topological arguments the intriguing result by Backhoff–Bartl–Beiglböck–Eder [3] that all adapted topologies in discrete time coincide. We also derive new characterizations of this topology, including descriptions of its trace on the sets of Markov processes and processes equipped with their natural filtration. To emphasize the generality of the argument, we also describe the classical weak topology for measures on Rd by a weak Wasserstein metric based on the theory of weak optimal transport that was initiated by Gozlan–Roberto–Samson–Tetali [11].

Abstract:Consider a topological dynamical system $(X, T)$ endowed with the metric $d$. We introduce a novel function as $\overline{BF}(x, y) = \limsup_{n-m \rightarrow +\infty} \inf_{\sigma \in S_{n,m}} \frac{1}{n-m} \sum_{k=m}^{n-1} d\left(T^{k} x, T^{\sigma(k)} y\right)$, where the permutation group $S_{n,m}$ is utilized. It is demonstrated that $BF(x, y)$ exists when $x, y \in X$ are uniformly generic points. Leveraging this function, we introduce the concept of weak Banach mean equicontinuity and establish that the dynamical system $(X, T)$ exhibits weak Banach mean equicontinuity if and only if the uniform time averages $f_B^{*}(x) = \lim_{n-m \rightarrow +\infty} \frac{1}{n-m} \sum_{k=m}^{n-1} f\left(T^{k} x\right)$ are continuous for all $f \in C(X)$. Finally, we demonstrate that in the case of a transitive system, the equivalence between weak Banach mean equicontinuity and weak mean equicontinuity is established.

Abstract:The concepts of soft faint continuity as a weaker form of soft weak continuity and soft faint θω-continuity as a weaker form of soft weak θω-continuity are introduced. Numerous characterizations of them are given. We further demonstrate that, under soft restrictions, they are retained. Moreover, we show that a soft function is soft faintly continuous (respectively, soft faintly θω-continuous) if its soft graph function is soft faintly continuous (respectively, soft faintly θω-continuous). In addition, we show that a soft function with a soft almost regular (respectively, soft extremally disconnected) co-domain is soft faintly continuous iff it is soft almost continuous (respectively, soft δ-continuous). Furthermore, we show that soft faintly continuous surjective functions are soft set-connected functions, and as a corollary, we demonstrate how soft faintly continuous functions sustain soft connectivity. Finally, we studied the symmetry between our new notions and their topological counterparts.

Abstract:A topological system (X,f) is F-transitive if for each pair of opene subsets U and V of X, Nf(U,V)={n∈Z+:fnU∩V≠∅}∈F, where F is a collection of subsets of Z+ which is hereditary upward. (X,f) is F-mixing if (X×X,f×f) is F-transitive. In this paper F-mixing systems are characterized in terms of the chaoticity of the systems. Moreover, weak disjointness is studied via family. We will give conditions such that a dual theorem of the Weiss–Akin–Glasner theorem holds. Examples with this dual theorem fails for some “good” families are obtained.

Abstract:We consider finite-dimensional real vector spaces $X$ ordered by a closed cone $X_+$ with non-empty interior and study eventual nonnegativity of matrix semigroups $(e^{tA})_{t \ge 0}$ with respect to this cone. Our first contribution is the observation that, for general cones, one needs to distinguish between different notions of eventual nonnegativity: (i) uniform eventual nonnegativity means that $e^{tA}$ maps $X_+$ into $X_+$ for all sufficiently large times $t$; (ii) individual eventual nonnegativity means that for each $x \in X_+$ the vector $e^{tA}x$ is in $X_+$ for all $t$ larger than an $x$-dependent time $t_0$; and (iii) weak eventual nonnegativity means that for each $x \in X_+$ and each functional $x'$ in the dual cone $X'_+$ the value $\langle x', e^{tA} x \rangle$ is in $[0,\infty)$ for all $t$ larger than an $x$- and $x'$-dependent time $t_0$. Until now, only the first of these notions has been studied in the literature. We demonstrate by examples that, somewhat surprisingly for finite-dimensional spaces, all three notions are different. Our second contribution is to show that typical Perron-Frobenius like properties remain valid under the weakest of the above notions. Third, we study a strengthened form of the above mentioned concepts, namely eventual positivity. We prove that uniform, individual and weak versions of this property are - in contrast to the nonnegative case - equivalent, and that they can be characterized by spectral properties.

Abstract:We study the fine scaling properties of sets satisfying various weak forms of invariance. For general attractors of possibly overlapping bi-Lipschitz iterated function systems, we establish that the Assouad dimension is given by the Hausdorff dimension of a tangent at some point in the attractor. Under the additional assumption of self-conformality, we moreover prove that this property holds for a subset of full Hausdorff dimension.
