Abstract:The invention provides a method and system for checking precision of an electronic belt scale. The method comprises the following steps: in the process of balancing the scale with a standard code, collecting data containing scale frame length and weight and a belt speed by each electronic belt scale according to the principle of intra-group instant sampling and inter-group multiple sampling; according to the collected data and a preset flow of each feeding device, calculating basic data Y required by the precision check according to the following formula; calculating the ratio of an intra-group range average value to an inter-group range average value of the basic data; and comparing the calculated ratio with a preset threshold value so as to determine whether to repeat the precision check or end the precision check, wherein the formula is that Y=1-sigma{[(the actual flow i/the preset flow i-1)2]1/2*( the preset flow/a preset total flow)}*100%. By using the method, the existing problem that an enterprise can only check the accuracy of the online electronic belt scale but cannot check the precision is solved. The invention provides a convenient method for checking precision.

Abstract:Based on the rigid rotor-pedestal system dynamic model of balancing machines, an uniform matrix format theoretic formulae of four existing calibration methods-once for all method、influence coefficient method、vector influence coefficient method and multi-linear regression method are presented. The request of four methods for the bearing pedestal system and the measurement system are analyzed, the four methods have different ability of compensating the system error,frequency response characteristics of the bearing pedestal system and the measurement system have a great impact on calibration method, their advantages and disadvantages are clarified analytically, the deficiency of current study on system error of balancing machines is showed and development direction for the future is indicated.

Abstract:In order to eliminate the measurement error caused by working voltage fluctuation of weighing sensor, a dynamic voltage compensation method for improving the weighing accuracy was proposed in the paper. The method takes strain gauge type pressure sensor as the weighing sensor and corrects Wheatstone bridge circuit. By synchronously detecting output voltage signal and working voltage of the weighing sensor, the method dynamically compensates the working voltage fluctuation of the weighing sensor, corrects the measurement error caused by the voltage fluctuation of external source and calculates the weight in real time. A weighing system based on the digital signal processor (DSP) was designed. Results of simulation experiment verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

Abstract:Electronic belt scale has become one of the important equipments in intelligent manufacturing enterprises, and the existing metrological calibration method is difficult to comprehensively and efficiently carry out accurate calibration of special electronic belt scale. This paper establishes a finite element analysis model of the weighing system, and proposes a measurement calibration method based on Kalman filter algorithm. Taking the electronic belt scale of the silk making line in the tobacco industry as the object of analysis, the finite element analysis is carried out by using ABAQUS tool to derive the optimal position of the tensioning pulley, and a scheme for compensating the weight signal when the height of the material changes is proposed. The simulation experiment results verify that the proposed analysis and calibration method can effectively improve the measurement accuracy of the electronic belt scale.

Abstract:In connection with the design of Single Plane hard bearing dynamic balancing measurement ma-chine, a series of theoretical analysis was done, including the dynamics analysis of the machine, analyzing the factors influencing permanent calibration error and presenting a stiffness principle of spring board, sensor and preloaded spring. After this, the experiments of testing and minimum achievable residual unbalance are done with a prototype designed by the design scheme. The result demonstrates that the prototype has high measurement precision.

Abstract:Technology of dynamic weighing is an effective way to solve the problem of overloaded vehicles. The entire process of dynamic weighing is presented in this paper. The model of dynamic weighing system is discussed by the discrete wavelet transform to filter noise and the genetic algorithm to filter the dynamic load which can not be filtered through common method. To solve the amplitude change of dynamic load, multi-segments curve fit based on genetic algorithm is proposed. The simulation to actual data of dynamic weighing verifies the validity.

Abstract:The current different kinds of error expressions of digital electrical measuring instruments are firstly illustrated. Then the popular causes of these errors are analysed. These errors may be concluded to two kinds: one kind of errors directly proportional to the measured value, and constant errors. Based on a lot of experimental results of various digital electrical measuring instruments and the analysis of merits and demerits of different kinds of one, the error expression of the two terms is the best one of the digital electrical measuring instruments. The conclusion can be utilized by the manufacturers and users of digital electrical measuring instruments.

Abstract:System composition,working process and architecture of two-station fully automated balancing machines developed by our lab for medium and small-sized motor products were introduced.According to the characteristics of tested signals of balancing machines,a digital tracking filter method was put forward.Its centre frequency can be adaptively tuned consistently with the rotational speed of the work-piece to realize the ability of tracking unbalance signal,so that interference in tested signals can be removed effectively.Considering the effect of armature circumferential,radial,and axial distribution of removed metal and circumferentially distributed slots against magnitude and phase of real unbalance,a higher precision contour milling correction model was built,and intelligent programming system was developed.Moreover,PCI bus-based two-stage measurement and control system was developed.System control was divided into system level and action level.The results of test and application showed that these technologies improve largely the precision and reliability of the automated balancing machine.

Abstract:According to the characteristics of measurement signals of balancing machines,integral recursive band-pass digital filtering method to preprocess measurement signals of balancing machines is presented. With its simple calculation and fast running velocity,the filter can be real time realized easily,moreover,centre frequency of the filter can be adaptive tuned consistence with rotational speed of work-piece to realize the ability of tracking unbalance signal,so that interference in measurement signals of balancing machines can be filtered effectively.

Abstract:Design of filter removing interference is a key technology in measurement system of balancing machines. Transfer functions of five digital filters——synchronous time average, Chebyshev narrow band-pass filter, integral digital filter, digital tracking filter and adaptive filter are given, their applications in measurement system of balancing machines were investigated in detail. From the point of view of practicability, their filtering abilities and realization methods were analyzed and compared. As a result, some instructive conclusions are provided for selection of digital filter of balancing machines.

Abstract:This paper is to present a novel design of a multi-functional controller for the electronic belt scale. The data acquisition unit in this controller is separated from the main control unit. As the control unit is located at a long distant from the electronic belt scale, data communication using RS-485 avoid error caused by EMI. The data acquisition unit and control unit are portable and are easy to be upgraded. Since this controller applied a new fuzzy control arithmetic, the simulation result shows that it has reduced 0.5 second of calculation time without overshooting in comparison of a composite PID control algorithm based on the BP neural network and Smith predictor. Since the proposed design employs an off-line look-up table, and only needs to calculate on-line for the fuzzy function, self-tuning, it reduces computational complexity and only has 20% computational complexity of the model based on BP neural network and Smith predictor.

Abstract:In view of problems of errors in the nonlinear measurement of existing electronic scales and temperature change, a new electronic scale measuring system is designed. When the bridge strain gauge deformation occurring, the system will change the analog quantity. Then, the analog quantity is transformed into digital quantity and the data are sent to the MCU. After that the data are further processed by software filtering. Finally, the system realizes the functions of measuring the weight of objects, saving price information, peeling and displaying through LCD. Compared with the traditional electronic scale system, this system has higher measuring accuracy and is less affected by the environmental change.

Abstract:A precision tilting platform used for static calibration of accelerometers was presented.Linear motor was utilized and its linear displacement was converted to the angular displacement of the platform.Simplified mechanical model,as well as measurement and control system for the platform were introduced,and the factors that caused positioning error were analyzed.Static error is caused mainly by temperature variation and the gravity.Manufacturing and assembling error affects the positioning accuracy through theoretical transformation of the linear and angular displacement.Dynamic error is mainly influenced by run out bearing in which parallelism offset of the linear guide rail can be disregarded.Main factors which caused the system error were obtained through experiments,then the compensation method was presented.Results indicate that the dimensional error caused by assembling is the main source of the positioning error.After compensation in software,the absolute error is reduced to less than ±2.0″in the range of -3 600″to +3 600″.

Abstract:In order to reflect and improve the overall performances of industrial robotic belt grinding systems, the concept of working accuracy and its measurement method are proposed after analyzing the characteristics of industrial robot application systems. Based on this concept, the working accuracy model for the robotic grinding system is established and a novel method is proposed for measuring and compensating the working error. Meanwhile, a real robotic belt grinding system is built. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments on a real robotic grinding workcell.
