Abstract:Dear Colleagues, It is our pleasure to share the valuable articles in a new issue of the Eur J Ther (2024; Vol: 30, Issue: 3). We would like to take this opportunity to thank once again the authors who submitted valuable papers to the journal and the referees who evaluated these articles. In April 2023, we shared that the editorial team of Eur J Ther underwent many changes and was updated with a dynamic team [1]. We then made a series of improvements in a short period of time. First, we strengthened our editorial team with many internationally respected academics [2]. In July 2023, Web of Science calculated the journal’s impact factor value for the first time as 0.3 [3]. Then, with the dedicated work of the updated editorial team, the journal was soon included in many essential indexes such as Index Copernicus (approved 2023-10-31), ERIH PLUS (approved 2023-06-21), BASE (approved 2023-11-30), and Sherpa Romeo (approved 2023-09-27). As a result of our application, as of the beginning of 2024, articles that have not yet been assigned to the issue and are in early view have started to be indexed in the Web of Science in a short time [4]. This is reflected in the Times Cited and Publications Over Time graphic on the Web of Science (Fig. 1) [5]. Another significant development was that from 2024 onwards, the journal will be published six issues a year instead of four. Through this editorial, we would like to share other good recent news and the journal metrics recently published by Clarivate Analytics with you, our valuable followers [6]. According to Journal Citation Reports 2024, Eur J Ther's journal impact factor value is 0.3 (Fig. 2) [6]. We believe that your valuable studies and contributions will increase this value. The most pleasing result in the Journal Citation Reports 2024 data [6] is that the Journal Impact Factor Quartile value of Eur J Ther, which is in the Medicine, General & Internal Category, was determined as Q3. The Journal Impact Factor (JIF) Quartile for the Eur J Ther has been calculated for the first time this year, and we are delighted to observe that it is the Q3. In other words, according to the Journal Impact Factor value, Eur J Ther ranks 243rd among 325 journals in the Medicine, General & Internal Category (JIF Rank 243/325). However, we know we should do our best to go one step further and reach better levels. As Stephen Hawking says, “However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.” We look forward to sharing more good news with you. Yours Sincerely,

Abstract:This annual review is the sixth of its kind since 2016 (see references). Our objective is to exploreand share articles which we deem influential and significant in the field of biotransformation andbioactivation. These fields are constantly evolving with new molecular structures and discoveriesof corresponding pathways for metabolism that impact relevant drug development with respectto efficacy and safety. Based on the selected articles, we created three sections: (1) drug design,(2) metabolites and drug metabolizing enzymes, and (3) bioactivation and safety (Table 1). Unlikein years past, more biotransformation experts have joined and contributed to this effort whilestriving to maintain a balance of authors from academic and industry settings.

Abstract:Dear Colleagues, In this editorial, we would like to share with you important developments in the European Journal of Therapeutics (Eur J Ther). First of all, as the editorial team, we would like you to know that we hold frequent meetings to benefit our esteemed colleagues and continue to work with great devotion in line with our goal of taking the journal further. We have previously shared with you that we have applied to many indexes. It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform you that in the last few months, more of our index applications have been approved. Index Copernicus, as a result of this application, the ICV 2022 value of our journal was determined to be 100 (approved 2023-10-31) [1] BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) (approved 2023-11-30) [2] Sherpa Romeo (approved 2023-09-27) [3] MIAR (approved 2023-10-16) [4] All indexes in our journal are currently included on the journal web page [5]. As the editorial team, we would like to inform you that we have determined a policy on this issue for our journal [6], taking into account the recommendations of important international ethics committees such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) [7] and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) [8], which have recently become a trendy topic of discussion about AI chatbots and academic studies prepared with the support of such tools. As you know, when our journal was founded in 1990 [9], it was published in two yearly issues. It is an essential responsibility for us to carry our journal, which continued its publication life with three issues a year in 2009 [10] and four issues a year in 2014 [11]. With your valuable support, we would like to announce that we will increase our journal to 6 issues a year as of 2024 (February, April, June, August, October and December) with the rapidly growing progress of our journal. Unfortunately, we cannot share the names of the referees who made significant contributions to our journal in 2023 due to the changes in the article submission interface during the year and the inaccessibility of some data in the previous interface. However, we would like to emphasize again that we are grateful to all of them for their valuable contributions. Moreover, to expand our journal's referee list, we would like to remind you that competent academics who volunteer in this regard can fill out the “Become a Reviewer for the European Journal of Therapeutics” form [12]. Finally, we would like to point out that we have strengthened our editorial team with an academician competent in dentistry, Fatih Sari, DDS, PhD. Fatih Sari, DDS, PhD, is a new Editorial Board Member of the Eur J Ther. Dr. Sari is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the Gaziantep University Faculty of Dentistry. He is a Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and Head of Clinical Departments. Dr. Sari is a prosthodontist and a member of the Turkish Dental Association. He has experience in implant-supported fixed prostheses, Cad/Cam applications and dental materials. We look forward to being able to offer you a large number of high-quality and valuable articles over the coming year. Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Abstract:The year 2020 brought significant challenges to all of us in our professional and personal lives, as we have had to face the ravages and disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these challenges, Maternal-Fetal Medicine had a very productive year thanks to our authors, reviewers, leadership, and members of the journal's Editorial Board. Many papers were well received by our readers and cited in subsequent publications in top scientific journals, including The Lancet Infection Diseases, International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (a FIGO position paper), as well as high-impact journals in the field of maternal-fetal medicine. Maternal-Fetal Medicine has also been listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). We recognize that 2021 will bring with its own challenges. The Editors and editorial team at Maternal-Fetal Medicine are prepared for whatever 2021 has to offer. Abstract:Innovation in medicinal chemistry has been at the heart of ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters since the journal's founding 10 years ago. In his inaugural editorial, Editor-in-Chief Dennis Liotta laid out a vision for the journal to become the "premier international journal for rapid communication of cutting-edge studies," and, after 10 years, it has become exactly that. The great hope of drug discovery scientists is that their innovations will lead to new therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs. In the spirit of innovation and in celebration of the recent 10th anniversary of ACS Med. Chem. Lett., we highlight five therapeutics that were first reported or first comprehensively characterized within ACS Med. Chem. Lett.. This overview also serves to introduce the expansion of the scope of the Innovations article type to include Topical Innovations. With this extension, the journal hopes to provide a forum to showcase concise (rather than comprehensive) reviews of topics that are both timely and of great interest to the medicinal chemistry community. Moreover, these articles will emphasize the next steps to move the field toward new areas of interest in medicinal chemistry. Appropriate topics might include case studies of clinical candidates or approved drugs, new assay technologies in drug discovery, novel target classes, and innovative new approaches towards modulation of human physiology. Since its founding 10 years ago, ACS Med. Chem. Lett. has established itself as a venue for the rapid communication of studies in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. There have been several drugs and clinical candidates that were first reported or first comprehensively characterized in ACS Med. Chem. Lett. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of ACS Med. Chem. Lett. this Topical Innovations article highlights five of these compounds: Ivosidenib, Siponimod, Glasdegib, Parsaclisib, and Dabrafenib.
