Abstract:The Riemann hypothesis (RH) is well known. In this paper we would show some sufficient conditions for the RH. The first condition is related with the sum of divisors function and another one is related with the Chebyshev's function.

Abstract:In 1916, Riesz gave an equivalent criterion for the Riemann hypothesis (RH). Inspired from Riesz's criterion, Hardy and Littlewood showed that RH is equivalent to the following bound: \begin{align*} P_1(x):= \sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{\mu(n)}{n} \exp\left({-\frac{x}{n^2}}\right) = O_{\epsilon}\left( x^{-\frac{1}{4}+ \epsilon } \right), \quad \mathrm{as}\,\, x \rightarrow \infty. \end{align*} Recently, the authors extended the above bound for the generalized Riemann hypothesis for Dirichlet $L$-functions and gave a conjecture for a class of ``nice'' $L$-functions. In this paper, we settle this conjecture. In particular, we give equivalent criteria for the Riemann hypothesis for $L$-functions associated to cusp forms. We also obtain an entirely novel form of equivalent criteria for the Riemann hypothesis of $\zeta(s)$. Furthermore, we generalize an identity of Ramanujan, Hardy and Littlewood for Chandrasekharan-Narasimhan class of $L$-functions.

Abstract:We present a purely analytical inequality which is equivalent to the Riemann hypothesis (RH). The proof of the equivalence is based on a representation of the modulus of the Riemann $\xi$ function. As the first step to analyze the inequality, we consider polynomial approximations. We also show that the RH is equivalent to the statement that some wave functions constructed using the Brownian motion never evolve into perfectly distinguishable states.

Abstract:Robin’s criterion says that the Riemann Hypothesis is equivalent to \[\forall n\geq 5041, \ \ \frac{\sigma(n)}{n}\leq e^{\gamma}\log_2 n,\] where \sigma(n) is the sum of the divisors of n, \gamma represents the Euler–Mascheroni constant, and \log_i denotes the i-fold iterated logarithm. In this note we get the following better effective estimates: \begin{equation*} \forall n\geq3, \ \frac{\sigma(n)}{n}\leq e^{\gamma}\log_2 n+\frac{0.3741}{\log_2^2n}. \end{equation*} The idea employed will lead us to a possible new reformulation of the Riemann Hypothesis in terms of arithmetic functions.

Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis, originally proposed by the eminent mathematician Bernard Riemann in 1859, remains one of the most profound challenges in number theory. It posits that all non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function {\zeta}(s) are concentrated precisely along the critical line where the real part equals 1/2. In this paper, our aim is to present an attempt to prove this conjecture. Our approach relies on the use of the reflection formula. By applying this tool with precision and insight, we can conclusively establish that {\xi}(s)^2 (Riemann's {\xi}-function) is valid only when Re(s)=1/2. As a direct consequence of this determination, we can assert that every zero of both {\xi}(s)^2 and {\xi}(s) has a real part equal to 1/2. This, in turn, leads us to the tentative conclusion that the real part of all non-trivial zeros of the zeta function is consistently 1/2.

Abstract:As essential condition for the validy of Robin's Theorem as a precondition for the proof of the Riemann hypothesis, we show that the minimum of the function $F={\rm e}^{\gamma}\,\ln(\ln\,n)-\sigma(n)/n$ is found to be positive. Therefore, $F>0$ holds for any $n>5040$.

Abstract:In this article, I present a Tauberian equivalence of the Riemann hypothesis within the framework of the theory of regular arithmetic functions, a branch of Tauberian theory that extends the theory of functions with good variation introduced in 2016. The central element of this study is the function $\Phi(x)=x\left\lfloor \frac{1}{x}\right\rfloor$, which allows for the extension of Ingham's summation method [Ingham] far beyond the prime number theorem by linking it to the Riemann hypothesis. I thus demonstrate the following equivalence $$RH\Longleftrightarrow\alpha\left(\Phi\right)=\frac{1}{2}$$ where $\alpha\left(\Phi\right)$ represents the index of good variation of $\Phi$, an essential characteristic of functions of good variation. This equivalence of the Riemann hypothesis is a potential new contribution absent from recent comprehensive catalogs of equivalent of the Riemann hypothesis in mathematical literature.

Abstract:Robin's criterion states that the Riemann hypothesis is true if and only if the inequality $\sigma(n) 5040$, where $\sigma(n)$ is the sum-of-divisors function of $n$ and $\gamma \approx 0.57721$ is the Euler-Mascheroni constant. We require the properties of superabundant numbers, that is to say left to right maxima of $n \mapsto \frac{\sigma(n)}{n}$. In this note, using Robin's inequality on superabundant numbers, we prove that the Riemann hypothesis is true.
A Proof of the Riemann Hypothesis Using Bombieri's Equivalence Theorem

Abstract:The Riemann hypothesis states that the Riemann $\xi(s)$ function has no zeros in the strip $0< {\rm Re}(s) < 1$ except for the critical line where ${\rm Re}(s) = 1/2$. However, determining whether a point in the strip is a zero of a complex function is a challenging task. Bombieri proposed an assertion in the Official Problem Description that states, ``The Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to the statement that all local maxima of $\xi(t)$ (namely $\xi(s)$ on the critical line) are positive and all local minima are negative." In this paper, we follow Bombieri's idea to study the Riemann hypothesis. First, we show that on the critical line, the $\xi(s)$ function (which is then a real function of a single real variable) obeys a special differential equation, such that it satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition. Then, since we have been unable to locate the original proof of Bombieri's equivalence theorem, we independently provide a proof for the sufficiency part of it. Namely, if the $\xi(s)$ function satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition on the critical line, then by the Cauchy-Riemann equations, it has no zeros outside this critical line. Thus, we can conclude that the Riemann hypothesis is true. Finally, we discuss Pólya's counterexample, which is against the use of Jensen's form of the $\xi(s)$ function to study the Riemann hypothesis. We show that this counterexample violates Bombieri's equivalence theorem.

Abstract:The Keiper-Li criterion gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the Riemann hypothesis. It requires that a set of quantities $\lambda_n$ be positive, and involves auxiliary constants $a_n$, known to be positive. A recently derived expression for the $a_n$ is used to provide accurate numerical values for the first four thousand $a_n$'s, and asymptotic expressions together with bounds for them are investigated.

Abstract:For $\frac{1}{2}<x<1$, $y>0$ and $n\in\mathbb{N}$, let $\displaystyle\theta_n(x+iy)=\sum_{i=1}^n\frac{\mbox{sgn}\, q_i}{q_i^{x+iy}}$, where $Q=\{q_1,q_2,q_3,\cdots\}$ is the set of finite product of distinct odd primes and ${\mbox{sgn}}\, q=(-1)^k$ if $q$ is the product of $k$ distinct primes. In this paper we prove that there exists an ordering on $Q$ such that $\theta_n(x+iy)$ has a convergent subsequence. As an application, we prove the Riemann hypothesis.

Abstract:We introduce a differential topological proof and an analytical proof of Riemann hypothesis according to the saddle point method because Riemann calculated the integral representation of zeta function on the critical line by this method. This topological proof of RH proves that the existence of integral representation of zeta functions requires certain differential topological conditions on its integrand according to which the zeta function vanishes on the critical line. The analytical proof of RH is the local implementation of topological proof or its coordinate representation.

Abstract:The validity of the Riemann Hypothesis (RH) on the location of the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann $\zeta$-function is directly related to the growth of the Mertens function $M(x) \,=\,\sum_{k=1}^x \mu(k)$, where $\mu(k)$ is the Möbius coefficient of the integer $k$: the RH is indeed true if the Mertens function goes asymptotically as $M(x) \sim x^{1/2 + \epsilon}$, where $\epsilon$ is an arbitrary strictly positive quantity. This behavior can be established on the basis of a new probabilistic approach based on the global properties of Mertens function. To this aim we derive a series of probabilistic results concerning the prime number distribution along the series of square-free numbers which shows that the Mertens function is subject to a normal distribution. We also show that the validity of the RH also implies the validity of the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis for the Dirichlet $L$-functions. Next we study the local properties of the Mertens function, i.e. its variation induced by each Möbius coefficient restricted to the square-free numbers. We perform a massive statistical analysis on these coefficients, applying to them a series of randomness tests of increasing precision and complexity, for a total number of eighteen different tests. The successful outputs of all these tests (each of them with a level of confidence of $99\%$ that all the sub-sequences analyzed are indeed random) can be seen as impressive "experimental" confirmations of the brownian nature of the restricted Möbius coefficients and the probabilistic normal law distribution of the Mertens function analytically established earlier. In view of the theoretical probabilistic argument and the large battery of statistical tests, we can conclude that while a violation of the RH is strictly speaking not impossible, it is however extremely improbable.
