Abstract:We study the problem of finding complete conformal metrics determined by some symmetric function of the modified Schouten tensor on compact manifolds with boundary; which reduces to a Dirichlet problem. We prove the existence of the solution under some suitable conditions. In particular, we prove that every smooth compact n-dimensional manifold with boundary, with n >= 3, admits a complete Riemannian metric g whose Ricci curvature Ric(g) and scalar curvature R-g satisfydet(Ric(g) - R(g)g) = const.This result generalizes Aviles and McOwen's in the scalar curvature case.

Abstract:The Keiper-Li criterion gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the Riemann hypothesis. It requires that a set of quantities $\lambda_n$ be positive, and involves auxiliary constants $a_n$, known to be positive. A recently derived expression for the $a_n$ is used to provide accurate numerical values for the first four thousand $a_n$'s, and asymptotic expressions together with bounds for them are investigated.

Abstract:The Keiper–Li sequence {λn} is most sensitive to the Riemann Hypothesis asymptotically (n → ∞), but highly elusive both analytically and numerically. We deform it to fully explicit sequences, simpler to analyze and to compute (up to n = 5 · 105 by G. Misguich). This also works on the Davenport–Heilbronn counterexamples, thus we can demonstrate explicit tests that selectively react to zeros off the critical line.

Abstract:In the past 100 years, the research of Riemann Hypothesis meets many difficulties. Such situation may be caused by that people used to study Zeta function only regarding it as a complex function. Generally, complex functions are far more complex than real functions, and are hard to graph. So, people cannot grasp the nature of them easily. Therefore, it may be a promising way to try to correspond Zeta function to real function so that we can return to the real domain to study RH. In fact, by the view of Laplace transform, the whole picture of Zeta function is very clear and simple, and the problem can be greatly simplified. And by Laplace transform, most integral and convolution operations can be converted into algebraic operations, which greatly simplifies calculating and analysis. This is a really and full new way to research Zeta function, prime numbers distribution, RH and so on. In fact, many new, important and interesting results can be reached by this new way, far more that shown in this paper. In September 2018, I had discussed with Sir Michael F Atiyah about RH and our proofs, etc. Sir Atiyah was so nice and patient, and he gave my approach rather positive evaluation. Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis, originally proposed by the eminent mathematician Bernard Riemann in 1859, remains one of the most profound challenges in number theory. It posits that all non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function {\zeta}(s) are concentrated precisely along the critical line where the real part equals 1/2. In this paper, our aim is to present an attempt to prove this conjecture. Our approach relies on the use of the reflection formula. By applying this tool with precision and insight, we can conclusively establish that {\xi}(s)^2 (Riemann's {\xi}-function) is valid only when Re(s)=1/2. As a direct consequence of this determination, we can assert that every zero of both {\xi}(s)^2 and {\xi}(s) has a real part equal to 1/2. This, in turn, leads us to the tentative conclusion that the real part of all non-trivial zeros of the zeta function is consistently 1/2.

Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis is a conjecture that all non-trivial zeros of Riemann Zeta function are located on the critical line in the complex plane. Hundreds of propositions in function theory and analytic number theory rely on this hypothesis. However, the problem has been unresolved for over a century. Here we show that at least one set of quadruplet-zeros exists outside the critical line through expanding the infinite product of the Riemann Xi zero function. We found that assuming there are no zeros outside the critical line will result in a contradiction with the known result that the reciprocal sum of all zeros of the xi-function is a constant, thereby refuting the Riemann Hypothesis.

Abstract:In 1916, Riesz gave an equivalent criterion for the Riemann hypothesis (RH). Inspired from Riesz's criterion, Hardy and Littlewood showed that RH is equivalent to the following bound: \begin{align*} P_1(x):= \sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{\mu(n)}{n} \exp\left({-\frac{x}{n^2}}\right) = O_{\epsilon}\left( x^{-\frac{1}{4}+ \epsilon } \right), \quad \mathrm{as}\,\, x \rightarrow \infty. \end{align*} Recently, the authors extended the above bound for the generalized Riemann hypothesis for Dirichlet $L$-functions and gave a conjecture for a class of ``nice'' $L$-functions. In this paper, we settle this conjecture. In particular, we give equivalent criteria for the Riemann hypothesis for $L$-functions associated to cusp forms. We also obtain an entirely novel form of equivalent criteria for the Riemann hypothesis of $\zeta(s)$. Furthermore, we generalize an identity of Ramanujan, Hardy and Littlewood for Chandrasekharan-Narasimhan class of $L$-functions.

Abstract:Let $\Xi(t)$ be a function relating to the Riemann zeta function $\zeta (s)$ with $s = \frac{1} {2} + it$. In this paper, we construct a function $v$ containing $t$ and $\Xi(t)$, and prove that $v$ satisfies a nonadjoint boundary value problem to a nonsingular differential equation if $t$ is any nontrivial zero of $\Xi(t)$. Inspecting properties of $v$ and using known results of nontrivial zeros of $\zeta (s)$, we derive that nontrivial zeros of $\zeta (s)$ all have real part equal to $\frac{1} {2}$, which concludes that Riemann Hypothesis is true.

A Proof of the Riemann Hypothesis Using Bombieri's Equivalence Theorem

Abstract:The Riemann hypothesis states that the Riemann $\xi(s)$ function has no zeros in the strip $0< {\rm Re}(s) < 1$ except for the critical line where ${\rm Re}(s) = 1/2$. However, determining whether a point in the strip is a zero of a complex function is a challenging task. Bombieri proposed an assertion in the Official Problem Description that states, ``The Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to the statement that all local maxima of $\xi(t)$ (namely $\xi(s)$ on the critical line) are positive and all local minima are negative." In this paper, we follow Bombieri's idea to study the Riemann hypothesis. First, we show that on the critical line, the $\xi(s)$ function (which is then a real function of a single real variable) obeys a special differential equation, such that it satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition. Then, since we have been unable to locate the original proof of Bombieri's equivalence theorem, we independently provide a proof for the sufficiency part of it. Namely, if the $\xi(s)$ function satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition on the critical line, then by the Cauchy-Riemann equations, it has no zeros outside this critical line. Thus, we can conclude that the Riemann hypothesis is true. Finally, we discuss Pólya's counterexample, which is against the use of Jensen's form of the $\xi(s)$ function to study the Riemann hypothesis. We show that this counterexample violates Bombieri's equivalence theorem.

Abstract:Riemann numerically approximated at least three zeta zeros. According to Edwards, Riemann even took steps to verify that the lowest zero he computed was indeed the first zeta zero. This approach to verification is developed, improved, and generalized to a large class of $L$-functions. Results of numerical calculations demonstrating the efficacy of the method are presented.

Abstract:The Generalized Riemann Hypothesis implies that at least 50% of the central values $L \left( \frac{1}{2},\chi\right)$ are non-vanishing as $\chi$ ranges over primitive characters modulo $q$. We show that one may unconditionally go beyond GRH, in the sense that if one averages over primitive characters modulo $q$ and averages $q$ over an interval, then at least 50.073% of the central values are non-vanishing. The proof utilizes the mollification method with a three-piece mollifier, and relies on estimates for sums of Kloosterman sums due to Deshouillers and Iwaniec. Note: The author has been made aware of an error in this work. It seems the error can be fixed, by using a different argument, and the author will present a correction in due course.

Abstract:This paper investigates the relationship between the Riemann hypothesis and the statement $\forall n, ~g(n) \le e^{\sqrt{p_n}}$, where $g(n)$ is the maximum order of an element of $S_n$, the symmetric group on $n$ elements, and $p_n$ is the $n$-th prime. We show this inequality holds under the Riemann Hypothesis.
