Abstract:Pegasus-III is an ultralow aspect ratio spherical tokamak providing a dedicated US experiment for comparative solenoid-free startup studies. A new magnetic diagnostic suite for equilibrium and low frequency (<200 kHz) magnetohydrodynamic mode analysis has been installed. These new diagnostics address the significant challenges of measuring magnetic field in a high noise environment with the majority constrained to fit in an 8 mm diagnostic gap on the high field side. Electrostatic switching noise generated by the 16 independent current feedback-controlled power supplies produces dVcm/dt ∼ 1 kV/μs and volt level common mode noise on the magnetics. Immunity to this switching noise is accomplished through differential signal runs and signal processing, along with end-to-end electromagnetic interference shielding. The magnetic measurements are simultaneously digitized at 1 MHz and conditioned by precision 8 pole Butterworth filters with a corner frequency of 200 kHz to prevent aliasing down to the 16-bit level over the full passband. Ex-vessel calibrations of the Bp coils were completed with a typical uncertainty of <0.5%. Stray toroidal field pickup from coil misalignment or positioning errors is corrected using a physics-based model. Comparisons of the corrected measurements to modeling agree to within 1.3% on average. This is within the 1.5% measurement uncertainty that a sensitivity analysis determined is needed for accurate fast boundary and equilibrium reconstruction.
Impurity behaviour in JET high-current baseline scenario for Deuterium, Tritium and Deuterium-Tritium plasmas

Abstract:To support future ITER operation, experimental campaigns at the Joint European Torus (JET) with an ITER-like wall (tungsten divertor and beryllium main chamber) in pure deuterium (D), tritium (T) and Deuterium-Tritium (D-T) were performed. One of the most important challenges in recent years was the development of two main scenarios that investigated different approaches to achieve the high fusion power as well as good plasma confinement (Garzotti et al., 2023). The first one, so-called baseline scenario is relying on high plasma current (I p ≈3.5 MA), normalized beta β N < 2 and safety factor q 95 ≈ 3 (Garzotti et al., 2023). On the other hand, the second one, so-called Hybrid scenario is operating at lower plasma current (flat-top I p ≤ 2.6 MA) and density with respect to the baseline, higher normalized beta β N > 2 and safety factor q 95 ≈ 4.8 (Hobirk et al., 2023). In this paper we focus on the impurity behaviour analysis for the baseline discharges at I p = 3.5 MA and B T = 3.3 T with D, T and DT plasmas, in which the gas and power waveform were optimized to achieve the best possible performance. In particular, we study the impact of total heating power (P tot + P alpha ), flat-top gas flow and ELM (edge localized modes) frequency on mid-Z (Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu)) and high-Z (Tungsten (W)) impurities. In addition, we compared the two best performing pulses of the baseline scenario (I p = 3.5MA, B T = 3.3 T and P in ≈ 35 MW) in D and DT in order to identify the causes responsible for the increase in radiation during the DT pulse, which led to an early plasma termination. All presented results rely on the data collected by the VUV as well as the bolometry system. Detailed analysis indicates that in the baseline scenario, higher radiation, which is most likely due to the tungsten (W), is observed for T and DT plasmas in comparison to D. Moreover, for the two best performing baseline pulses, tomographic reconstructions show that the radiated power density is mainly emitted from the low field side (LFS) of the plasma and W does not accumulate in the plasma center (Telesca et al., 2024).

Impurity transport study based on measurement of visible wavelength high-n charge exchange transitions at W7-X

Abstract:A recently installed high-speed charge exchange diagnostic at the W7-X stellarator has been used to identify several high-n Rydberg emission lines near 500 nm following impurity injections. The wavelengths of observed high-n Rydberg transitions are independent of the impurity species and originate from ions with ionization states ranging from 14+ to 45+ suggesting that this approach can be applied to a variety of heavy impurities. Moreover, little to no passive signal is observed since the high-n energy levels are unlikely to be populated by electron impact excitation. The combination of the newly developed diagnostic and the observation of high-n Rydberg states provides spatially resolved, high-speed measurements of multiple charge states which are analyzed in a Bayesian inference framework to determine both impurity diffusion and convection profiles. Measurements from the 2023 experimental campaign conclusively show high diffusion and an inward pinch in the core, well above predictions by neoclassical theory. ‡ Author to whom any correspondence should be addressed. Abstract:Recently, a compact torus injection (CTI) system was developed for central fueling on experimental advanced superconducting tokamak (EAST). As impurity generated by the interaction between CTI plasma and the electrode material can dilute the fuel particle, it is important to measure impurity content in CTI and evaluate the effect of impurity on the plasma before the application of CTI to EAST. A vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) spectrometer that utilizes a concave holographic grating with 1200 groove mm -1 was developed and installed on EAST-CTI for impurity emission measurement and transport study. The mainly parts of the spectrometer are an entrance slit, a concave holographic grating with 1200 groove mm -1 and a charge coupled device (CCD). The spectrometer is designed to image the spectra of 50–460 nm by turning the grating. Preliminary experimental results were obtained from the recent EAST-CTI campaign. Impurity line spectra from 50 to 460 nm wavelength range were measured and identified for several impurity species, such as iron, copper, chromium, oxygen, carbon and fluorine. For example, spectra in the intervals of 150 nm to 300 nm contained strong Fe lines. Helium spectra are also measured in the form of He I and He II spectral lines as helium is the main component of the plasma. The results show that the VUV spectrometer is capable of measuring impurity radiations on EAST-CTI and will be a useful tool for impurity behavior study.

Application of a hyperspectral camera for in situ plasma-material interaction studies at the linear plasma device PSI-2

Abstract:A hyperspectral camera (HSC-type Specim IQ) has been applied at the linear plasma device PSI-2 under steady-state conditions. The camera has the capacity of hyperspectral imaging (HSI) with the dimension of a data array 512 × 512 × 204 (x, y, λ) covering the spectral span from 400 to 1000 nm with moderate average spectral resolution (FWHM ∼7 nm). After radiometric calibration and background/continuum emission subtraction, two main applications of the camera, (i) plasma diagnostics in helium (He) plasmas and (ii) plasma-material interaction studies with tungsten (W) targets in neon (Ne) plasmas, have been carried out. The measurements were complemented by a movable Langmuir double probe system (LP) measuring electron temperature (Te) and electron density (ne) in radial direction r and a fiber-coupled cross-dispersion spectrometer with high spectral resolution (Spectrelle) recording neutral He, W, and Ne emission lines over the full plasma column. (i) Two-dimensional (2D) imaging of Te and ne radial profiles in axial direction z of the He plasma column were for the first time obtained by the regression analysis of Te and ne (from LP) and six He I line ratios (from HSC). The spatially resolved plasma parameters covered in these studies range between Te ∼ 0.8-13.4 eV and ne ∼ 0.2 × 1018-3.9 × 1018 m-3 and permit a reconstruction of the plasma conditions in PSI-2 in 2D without LP perturbation. (ii) W sputtering was studied in situ in Ne plasmas exposing W target samples (negatively biased at 100 V) under perpendicular Ne plasma impact. Simultaneously, the 2D distributions of W (W I line at 429.5 nm) in front of the target and the 2D Ne plasma distribution (Ne I line at 703.2 nm) were recorded with complete spectral separation as confirmed by the Spectrelle spectrometer. This permits the simultaneous measurement of the neutral W penetration and its angular distribution induced in the sputtering process and of the impinging plasma distribution. The HSI technique offers, despite a few technical drawbacks, such as the moderate spectral resolution and poor time resolution, a new possibility to distinguish multiple emission lines from plasma and impurities and complements the portfolio of existing Optical Emission Spectroscopy techniques, providing a good compromise regarding spectral, spatial, and temporal resolution.

Abstract:A set of new millimeter-wave diagnostics will deliver unique measurement capabilities for National Spherical Torus Experiment-Upgrade to address a variety of plasma instabilities believed to be important in determining thermal and particle transport, such as micro-tearing, global Alfvén eigenmodes, kinetic ballooning, trapped electron, and electron temperature gradient modes. These diagnostics include a new integrated intermediate-k Doppler backscattering (DBS) and cross-polarization scattering (CPS) system (four channels, 82.5-87 GHz) to measure density and magnetic fluctuations, respectively. The system can access reasonably large normalized wavenumbers kθρs ranging from ≤0.5 to 15 (where ion sound gyroradius ρs = 1 cm and kθ is the binormal density turbulence wavenumber). The system addresses the challenges for making useful DBS/CPS measurements with a remote control of launch polarization (X- or O-mode), probed wavenumber, polarization match of the launch beam with the edge magnetic field pitch angle, and beam steering of the launched beam for wave-vector alignment. In addition, a low-k DBS system consisting of eight fixed frequencies (34-52 GHz) and four tunable frequencies (55-75 GHz) for low-k density turbulence and fast ion physics will be located at a nearby port location. The combined systems cover the near LCFS and pedestal regions (34-52 GHz), the pedestal or mid-radius (50-75 GHz), and core plasmas (82.5-87 GHz).

Abstract:BackgroundRadiation loss caused by impurities in tokamak plasmas, especially of those metal impurities, is one of the crucial factors restricting the further improvement of plasma performance.PurposeThis study aims at the atomic spectroscopy of metal impurities on fusion reactors with a conceptual design of a compact impurity spectrum research platform based on intermediate energy electron beam ion trap.MethodsThe system design scheme for a compact medium-energy impurity spectra platform (MISP) using conduct cooling low temperature superconductor was presented. Then the COMSOL simulation software was employed to design and analyse the magnetic field, and the electron beam trajectory in the electron beam ion trap (EBIT) of MISP. The magnetic field calculation, inner electrode design, spectrometer design and other auxiliary system design of the electron beam ion trap were carried out.ResultsSimulation results show that uniform magnetic field intensity of 1.0 T in the center of EBIT drift tube can be achieved with appropriate design parameters, and the electron beam can be constrained in the drift tube.ConclusionsThis concept design can provide a reference for further engineering design.
Vacuum ultraviolet impurity spectroscopy on the Alcator C-Mod tokamak

Abstract:Vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopy is used on the Alcator C-Mod tokamak to study the physics of impurity transport and provide feedback on impurity levels to assist experimental operations. Sputtering from C-Mod's all metal (Mo+W) plasma facing components and ion cyclotron range of frequency antenna and vessel structures (sources for Ti, Fe, Cu, and Ni), the use of boronization for plasma surface conditioning and Ar, Ne, or N(2) gas seeding combine to provide a wealth of spectroscopic data from low-Z to high-Z. Recently, a laser blow-off impurity injector has been added, employing CaF(2) to study core and edge impurity transport. One of the primary tools used to monitor the impurities is a 2.2 m Rowland circle spectrometer utilizing a Reticon array fiber coupled to a microchannel plate. With a 600 lines/mm grating the 80<λ<1050 Å range can be scanned, although only 40-100 Å can be observed for a single discharge. Recently, a flat-field grating spectrometer was installed which utilizes a varied line spacing grating to image the spectrum to a soft x-ray sensitive Princeton Instruments charge-coupled device camera. Using a 2400 lines/mm grating, the 10<λ<70 Å range can be scanned with 5-6 nm observed for a single discharge. A variety of results from recent experiments are shown that highlight the capability to track a wide range of impurities.
Erosion enhancement by impurity entrainment in the highly collisional plasmas of Magnum-PSI

Abstract:Extrinsic impurity seeding is planned for ITER to avoid high heat fluxes to the tungsten divertor targets. Nevertheless, excessive sputtering by impurities would lead to a reduction in fusion power output and divertor lifetime. Unlike today's fusion devices, the entrainment of impurities is expected to play an increasing role in ITER's highly collisional near-surface plasma. Impurity entrainment refers to the acceleration of impurities with the plasma flow by collisional drag, leading to elevated impact energies. To investigate impurity entrainment under ITER-like plasma conditions ( m , 5 eV), argon-seeded hydrogen plasmas were formed with the linear plasma generator Magnum-PSI. Doppler shifts in spatially-resolved emission profiles of argon (Ar II - 480.6 nm) and hydrogen (H - 486.1 nm) reveal the entrainment of seeded argon towards the upstream hydrogen velocity ( 9 cm from surface), corresponding to 0.39 of the common-system sound speed. In addition, the sputtering yield of tungsten by argon bombardment for the argon-seeded hydrogen plasma was compared to a pure argon plasma by monitoring tungsten (W I - 400.9 nm) emission. These sputtering experiments indicate further entrainment of the argon impurities to 0.65 of the common-system sound speed at the sheath edge, leading to a large increase in their impact energy. Extrapolation of the Magnum-PSI results to ITER, using existing SOLPS-ITER simulations to determine the divertor plasma conditions, indicates more than an order of magnitude increase in gross erosion of the divertor targets due to impurity entrainment. However, the net erosion rate could still be kept under control if high re-deposition rates are achieved, which is treated in the companion paper \cite{Cornelissen2023}. The combination of a low sputtering threshold energy and high impact energy of impurities constrains the fine balance between radiative cooling with impurity seeding and avoiding extensive divertor erosion.

Abstract:The temporary rest provided by respite care both benefits caregiver well-being and allows care receivers to continue living in the community, effectively reducing rates of institutional placement. The necessity and effectiveness of respite care are well documented in the literature. However, only a few care providers take advantage of such services. Previous research, which has focused largely on personal factors contributing to low utilization rates, limits our understanding of the situation and of the constraints not related to personal factors. This paper attempts to move beyond the individual perspective by framing research in critical social theory in order to understand the current social, political and economical factors that limit caregiver utilization of respite services. Critical social theory, a reflection theory, emphasizes empowerment and conscious-raising in order to promote control of oppressed subjects. In applying critical theory, this paper encourages nurses to raise caregivers' consciousness of their constraining circumstances in order to empower them to access respite services on their own volition.

Abstract:SPIDER, an RF-driven negative ion source in the Neutral Beam Test Facility (NBTF), serves as the prototype for ITER's neutral beam injector (NBI). It is composed of 8 drivers powered by 4 RF generators, aiming to accelerate 50 A of negative hydrogen ions to 100 KeV with a beam uniformity target of 10%. The experiment, launched in 2018, tested negative ion production using caesium. Results match those of similar facilities, but SPIDER faces challenges due to its size, multiple drivers, and non-uniform plasma expansion. These issues impact beam uniformity, preventing the machine from reaching expected performance. To address this, SPIDER initiated a significant shutdown at the end of 2021 for improvements. One the most important aspects studied during the first experimental campaign is source uniformity, addressed both in terms of plasma and of caesium distribution. The latter is particularly relevant since its quality is directly related to the beam uniformity and divergence. To have more insight about these issues, monitoring the plasma properties in the extraction region is crucial, hence in the present contribution, the design and development of two new diagnostic systems are described: a movable Langmuir probe and a Retarding Field Energy Analyser (RFEA). The first can provide a vertical scan of the main plasma parameters close to the plasma grid. The spatial resolution would improve with respect to the already installed set of fixed Langmuir probes embedded in the grid system, and the newly installed diagnostic could interact with other sensors to produce complementary measurements (namely, electron photo-detachment). The latter, instead, allows the monitoring of the positive ion energy distribution: positive ions, in fact, can be precursors of the negative ones produced at the caesiated surface, but also influence the energy of negative ion and their extraction probability and thus collecting information about their energy distribution allows inferring details about the extracted negative ion beam. The two diagnostics are designed focusing on the experimental constraint of integrating the diagnostics in a harsh and complex environment such as SPIDER plasma: a preliminary study of the placement inside the source is carried out, then the electrode of the movable probe and the RFEA sensor are sized according to the spatial and energy resolution requested by the system.

Abstract:The imaging heavy ion beam probe (i-HIBP) diagnostic has been successfully commissioned at ASDEX Upgrade. The i-HIBP injects a primary neutral beam into the plasma, where it is ionized, leading to a fan of secondary (charged) beams. These are deflected by the magnetic field of the tokamak and collected by a scintillator detector, generating a strike-line light pattern that encodes information on the density, electrostatic potential, and magnetic field of the plasma edge. The first measurements have been made, demonstrating the proof-of-principle of this diagnostic technique. A primary beam of 85/87Rb has been used with energies ranging between 60 and 72 keV and extracted currents up to 1.5 mA. The first signals have been obtained in experiments covering a wide range of parameter spaces, with plasma currents (Ip) between 0.2 and 0.8 MA and on-axis toroidal magnetic field (Bt) between 1.9 and 2.7 T. Low densities appear to be critical for the performance of the diagnostic, as signals are typically observed only when the line integrated density is below 2.0–3.0 × 1019 m−2 in the central interferometer chord, depending on the plasma shape. The strike line moves as expected when Ip is ramped, indicating that current measurements are possible. Additionally, clear dynamics in the intensity of the strike line are often observed, which might be linked to changes in the edge profile structure. However, the signal-to-background ratio of the signals is hampered by stray light, and the image guide degradation is due to neutron irradiation. Finally, simulations have been carried out to investigate the sensitivity of the expected signals to plasma density and temperature. The results are in qualitative agreement with the experimental observations, suggesting that the diagnostic is almost insensitive to fluctuations in the temperature profile, while the signal level is highly determined by the density profile due to the beam attenuation.

Abstract:Ultraviolet (UV) and visible impurity spectra (200 similar to 1750 nm) are commonly used to study plasma and wall interactions in magnetic fusion plasmas. Two optical multi-channel analysis (OMA) systems have been installed for the UV-visible spectrum measurement on EAST. These two OMA systems are both equipped with the Czerny-Turner (C-T) type spectrometer. The upper vacuum vessel and inner divertor baffle can be viewed simultaneously through two optical lenses. The OMA1 system is mainly used for multi-impurity lines radiation measurement. A 280 nm wavelength range can be covered by a 300 mm focal length spectrometer equipped with a 300 grooves/mm grating. The D alpha/H alpha line shapes can be resolved by the OMA2 system. The focal length is 750 mm The spectral resolution can be up to 0.01 nm using a 1800 grooves/mm grating. The impurity behaviour and hydrogen ratio evolution after boroniztion, lithium coating, and siliconization are compared. Lithium coating has shown beneficial effects on the reduction of edge recycling and low Z impurity (C, O) influx. The impurity expelling effect of the divertor configuration is also briefly discussed through multi-channels observation of OMA1 system.
Upgrade of DIII-D radial interferometer-polarimeter for large bandwidth, low noise, and toroidal mode number measurements

Abstract:Near ion-cyclotron frequency (fci) fluctuations, such as those originating from Global and Compressional Alfvén Eigenmodes (GAEs/CAEs), are expected to be present in future fusion reactors but are not well understood due to the limited availability of core measurements in present-day tokamaks. The measurement bandwidth of the Radial Interferometer-Polarimeter (RIP) diagnostic has been upgraded from 1 to 5 MHz to detect these fluctuations in DIII-D. RIP adopts the three-wave technique for simultaneous polarimetric and interferometric measurements. Solid-state microwave sources operating at 650 GHz are used as probe beams and provide 5 MHz bandwidth for both polarimetric and interferometric measurements. Bandwidths of related hardware, including mixer amplifier, signal cable, and digital phase demodulator, are increased correspondingly. Measurement noise is minimized by reducing the time delay between reference and probe signals to nanosecond level and employing correlation-based techniques. Using the upgraded diagnostic, CAE/GAE-like bursting fluctuations are observed in neutral-beam heated plasmas with toroidal magnetic field Bφ ≈ 1 T. Current upgrades being undertaken would enable the evaluation of toroidal mode number for these modes. This work opens the possibility of better understanding near ion-cyclotron frequency fluctuations in fusion relevant plasmas.
Upgrade of the Diagnostic Neutral Beam Injector for the RFX-mod2 experiment

Abstract:Diagnostic Neutral Beam Injectors (DNBI), through the combined use of Charge Exchange Recombination Spectroscopy (CHERS) and Motional Stark effect diagnostics (MSE), are a well-known tool to access important information about magnetically confined plasmas, such as radial profiles of ion temperature, ion flow, impurity content and intensity and direction of the magnetic field. For this purpose, a DNBI was installed and operated in the RFX-mod experiment, which was designed to confine plasma mainly through the Reversed Field Pinch configuration. The DNBI, designed and built by the Budker Institute of Plasma Physics, was based on a source of positive hydrogen ions, accelerated to 50 keV and for an equivalent neutral beam current of about 5 A at the source. The beam could be modulated and the maximum overall duration was 50 ms. With the upgrade of RFX-mod to the present RFX-mod2 machine, the DNBI is being renovated to solve several plant faults and improve the overall reliability of the system. The 50 kV power supply is being improved, as well as the power supplies in the high voltage deck and its insulation transformer. The control system, originally based on CAMAC technology, was redesigned to be fully replaced. This contribution reviews the technical criticalities emerged in the DNBI check-up and the new solutions adopted to make the DNBI operative and more reliable.

This study investigated the processing area of the Korean proverb in comparison with the literal sentence using functional magnetic resonance imaging. In addition, the effect of opacity and transparency of proverbs on the activation pattern, when familiarity is set to the same condition, was also examined.

Abstract:This work presents a system upgrade of the High Resolution Thomson Scattering (HRTS) diagnostic [Pasqualotto et al., Rev. Sci. Instrum. 75, 3891–3893 (2004)] on JET that allows it to measure low temperature (1–500 eV) plasma pre- and post-Thermal quench (TQ), which would help us further understand the Shattered Pellet Injection (SPI) physics. The upgrade was done by connecting optic fibers from the original HRTS system to four spectrometers specialized in measuring low temperature plasmas. The upgraded system allows for the measurement of low temperature plasma at up to 12 spatial points, which can be flexibly distributed throughout the JET outer midplane profile during the dedicated SPI experiments. In other JET experiments, four previously unused groups of fibers were used to measure the central plasma to provide disruption data without changing the standard HRTS system. The low temperature Thomson scattering system was installed, commissioned, and cross-calibrated against the standard HRTS diagnostic in a calibration pulse. The system worked reliably during the JET experiments and provided electron density and temperature profiles for pre- and post-TQ low temperature plasmas in the SPI campaign.

Abstract:The measurement of impurity distribution in the divertor region of tokamaks is key to studying edge impurity transport. Therefore, a space-resolved vacuum-ultraviolet (VUV) spectrometer is designed to measure impurity emission in the divertor region on EAST. For good spectral resolution, an eagle-type VUV spectrometer with 1 m long focal length with spherical holograph grating is used in the system. For light collection, a collimating mirror is installed between the EAST plasma and the VUV spectrometer to extend the observing range to cover the upper divertor region. Two types of detectors, i.e. a back-illuminated charge-coupled device detector and a photomultiplier-tube detector, are adopted for the spectral measurement and high-frequency intensity measurement for feedback control, respectively. The angle between the entrance and exit optical axis is fixed at 15°. The detector can be moved along the exit axis to maintain a good focusing position when the wavelength is scanned by rotating the grating. The profile of impurity emissions is projected through the space-resolved slit, which is set horizontally. The spectrometer is equipped with two gratings with 2400 grooves/mm and 2160 grooves/mm, respectively. The overall aberration of the system is reduced by accurate detector positioning. As a result, the total spectral broadening can be reduced to about 0.013 nm. The simulated performance of the system is found to satisfy the requirement of measurement of impurity emissions from the divertor area of the EAST tokamak.

Abstract:Companion animals owned by human patients with cryptosporidiosis (cases) and those animals owned by the wider human population (controls), were studied to determine whether Cryptosporidium was more likely to be excreted by case animals than controls. A total of 280 recently voided faecal samples (114 case animals and 166 control animals) were collected and tested by immunomagnetic separation and immunofluorescent microscopy. A multivariable model was also created to identify pet characteristics, contacts and management factors associated with Cryptosporidium infection in animals, using information collected by a standardized questionnaire. The model was designed to take into account the clustering of samples at the owner level and whether the sampled animal was a case or control.

Abstract:The experimental and theoretical analysis were focused on experiments conducted to assess the effect of plasma isotopes, protium (H), deuterium (D), and tritium (T) on Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ICRH) related plasma wall interactions (PWI). Comparison of L-mode discharges with N=1 3He and N=1 H minority ICRH heating scenarios were done for different isotopes. For the selected pulses, the behaviour of high-Z, mid-Z and low-Z intrinsic impurity and radiated power behaviour was investigated based on data from VUV, visible spectroscopy, and bolometry diagnostic at JET. It was found that for N=1 3He scenario during radiofrequency (RF) antennas operation, core W, Ni content, Be source and the radiated power are higher for /2 in comparison to dipole antenna phasing. Lowest core Ni, W content and radiated power is clearly observed for H plasmas in comparison to D and T, where for this ICRH scenario behaviour was similar. However, lower Be photon flux is observed for T in comparison to D plasmas. Be sputtering by He particles is responsible for such an effect. Additionally, several computer simulations were conducted using the COREDIV code. The difference in the electron temperature was due to the difference in the isotope masses. Increased temperature in the central plasma in the case of T plasmas leads to higher radiation in the central plasma in comparison to H plasmas. As a result, the power across separatrix is lower and the temperature on the divertor plate decreases with the increase of the isotope mass. At these temperatures on the divertor plate, W is not sputtered by the main plasma ions H, D and T and by He. For the N=1 H ICRH scenario clear difference between D and T plasma was observed with higher metallic impurity content for T plasma in comparison to D. Impurity content in the plasmas is found to be sensitive to the power balance between the antenna straps. Its minimum is observed for the maximum of Pcen/Ptot.
