Abstract:In this paper we provide a unified approach to a family of integrals of Mellin--Barnes type using distribution theory and Fourier transforms. Interesting features arise in many of the cases which call for the application of pull-backs of distributions via smooth submersive maps defined by Hörmander. We derive by this method the integrals of Hecke and Sonine relating to various types of Bessel functions which have found applications in analytic and algebraic number theory.

Abstract:Due to strong oscillation and slow decay of product term in dual Bessel integration,it is difficult to use ordinary numerical method for the quadrature of dual Bessel.In this paper we divide ［0,∞) into ［0,λ0］ and ［λ0,∞);In ［λ0,∞),the integration can be written as Fourier cosine and sine transformation by asymptotic expression of Hankel Function and it can be evaluated by fast algorthm.In ［0,λ0］,the integration can be computed accurately through direct quadrature.But when we calculate a quantity the related dual Bessel integration with common argument,the algorithm mentioned above seem not to be efficient enough.In this case,according to derivative relation of Bessel function,the constant transformation of the integration in ［0,λ0］ can be done and the changed into the integration of the Bessel function itself which can only be calculated only once.This algorithm has improved efficiency of calculation obviously for dual Bessel integration.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the normalized Bessel function of index <math>α>−12</math>, we find an integral representation of the term <math>xnjα+n(x)jα(y)</math>. This allows us to establish a product formula for the generalized Hankel function <math>Bλκ,n</math> on <math>R</math>. <math>Bλκ,n</math> is the kernel of the integral transform <math>Fκ,n</math> arising from the Dunkl theory. Indeed we show that <math>Bλκ,n(x)Bλκ,n(y)</math> can be expressed as an integral in terms of <math>Bλκ,n(z)</math> with explicit kernel invoking Gegenbauer polynomials for all <math>n∈N∗</math>. The obtained result generalizes the product formulas proved by M. Rösler for Dunkl kernel when n = 1 and by S. Ben Said when n = 2. As application, we define and study a translation operator and a convolution structure associated to <math>Bλκ,n</math>. They share many important properties with their analogous in the classical Fourier theory.

Abstract:The integrals $\threej{\Llo}{\Llt}{\Llth} {0}{0}{0}\,\int_0^\infty \,r^{\Llth+1}\,e^{-\alpha r}\,j_\Llo(k_1r)\, j_\Llt(k_2r)\,dr$ and $\threej{\Llo}{\Llt}{\Llth} {0}{0}{0}\,\int_0^\infty \,r^{\Llth+2}\,e^{-\alpha r}\,j_\Llo(k_1r)\, j_\Llt(k_2r)\,dr$ are evaluated analytically. The result is a finite sum over the associated Legendre function of the second kind.

General Berndt-Type Integrals and Series Associated with Jacobi Elliptic Functions

Abstract:In this paper, we prove two structural theorems on the general Berndt-type integrals with the denominator having arbitrary positive degrees by contour integrations involving hyperbolic and trigonometric functions, and hyperbolic sums associated with Jacobi elliptic functions. We first establish explicit relations between these integrals and four classes of hyperbolic sums. Then, using our previous results on hyperbolic series and applying the matrix method from linear algebra, we compute explicitly several general hyperbolic sums and their higher derivatives. These enable us to express two families of general Berndt-type integrals as polynomials in $\Gamma^4(1/4)$ and $\pi^{-1}$ with rational coefficients, where $\Gamma$ is the Euler gamma function. At the end of the paper, we provide some conjectures of general Berndt-type integrals.

Abstract:In this paper, on the complex field $\mathbb{C}$, we prove two integral formulae for the Hankel-Mellin transform and the double Fourier-Mellin transform of Bessel functions, both resulting the hypergeometric function. As two applications, we use the former integral formula to make explicit the spectral formula of Bruggeman and Motohashi for the fourth moment of Dedekind zeta function over the Gaussian number field $\mathbb{Q}(i)$ and to establish a spectral formula for the Hecke-eigenvalue twisted second moment of central $L$-values for the Picard group $\mathrm{PGL}_2 (\mathbb{Z}[i])$. Moreover, we develop the theory of distributional Hankel transform on $\mathbb{C} \smallsetminus \{0\}$.

Abstract:In this paper, we have developed novel proofs of two known formulas for the Meijer integral transform and obtained non-trivial extensions of these formulas (in one of them, the Bessel function is replaced by the Coulomb wave function). Also we have derived a new formula for a series involving product of Whittaker functions and modified Bessel functions of the second kind. Our proofs are based on a group theoretical approach and involves the use of an intertwining operator for two representations of one matrix group.

Our proof relies on properties of hypergeometric functions, thus providing a new interpretation of these formulae.

Abstract:We derive differential equations for multiplicative statistics of the Bessel determinantal point process depending on two parameters. In particular, we prove that such statistics are solutions to an integrable nonlinear partial differential equation describing isospectral deformations of a Sturm-Liouville equation. We also derive identities relating solutions to the integrable partial differential equation and to the Sturm-Liouville equation which imply an analogue for Painlevé V of Amir-Corwin-Quastel "integro-differential Painlevé II equation". This equation reduces, in a degenerate limit, to the system of coupled Painlevé V equations derived by Charlier and Doeraene for the generating function of the Bessel process, and to the Painlevé V equation derived by Tracy and Widom for the gap probability of the Bessel process. Finally, we study an initial value problem for the integrable partial differential equation. The approach is based on Its-Izergin-Korepin-Slavnov theory of integrable operators and their associated Riemann-Hilbert problems.

Abstract:In the evaluation of the power flow in some millimeter RF structures, a new kind of integrals of the type ∫^r [Aζ _ν (kr) + Bζ _ - ν (kr)][A'ζ _ν (kr) + B'ζ _ - ν (kr)]dr/r, in which ζ ±ν ( kr ) denotes arbitrary Bessel functions of real order ±ν, is met. In order to integrate it, a new transformation of modified Bessel function is build in this paper: then a general integral formula involving the products two terms, each of them can be expressed a sum of any two modified Bessel function, is obtained by means of applying a theorem on calculus to this transformation smartly, Furthermore, making use of the characteristics of modified Bessel function and the definition of Bessel function, the analytical expression of the above integral is derived.

Abstract:This paper deals with the evaluation of some definite Euler-type integrals in terms of the Wright hypergeometric function. We obtain a theorem on the Wright hypergeometric function and then use this theorem to evaluate some definite integrals. Further, we derive some results as applications of these evaluations. Multi-variable cases of the derived results of this paper are also briefly discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, we evaluate in closed forms two families of infinite integrals containing hyperbolic and trigonometric functions in their integrands. We call them Berndt-type integrals since he initiated the study of similar integrals. We first establish explicit evaluations of four classes of hyperbolic sums by special values of the Gamma function, by two completely different approaches, which extend those sums considered by Ramanujan and Zucker previously. We discover the first by refining two results of Ramanujan concerning some $q$-series. For the second we compare both the Fourier series expansions and the Maclaurin series expansions of a few Jacobi elliptic functions. Next, by contour integrations we convert two families of Berndt-type integrals to the above hyperbolic sums, all of which can be evaluated in closed forms. We then discover explicit formulas for one of the two families. Throughout the paper we present many examples which enable us to formulate a conjectural explicit formula for the other family of the Berndt-type integrals at the end.

Abstract:In the standard work of Bierens de Haan about integrals we look at table 129. This table lists a number of integrals of a certain kind. In this paper the table is expanded with a number of similar integrals. These are determined by a number of different methods. Some of these methods are not treated in the freshman standard works on integral calculus. As a bonus, we treat an integral using a complete different method which is not so well-known.

Abstract:When deriving dyadic Green's functions for the spherical structures with gyrotropic or bianisotropic materials, an integral whose integrand function consists of two spherical Bessel functions and a power function needs to be evaluated. Therefore, this paper revisits thoroughly the evaluation of the integral of Il,l'(kappa,kappa'). Starting from pointing out an error, it provides the correct solution to the integral in spherical coordinates in terms of distribution, in particular, step functions and delta functions. The formulation is further extended to a more generalized integral Hl,l'lambda(kappa,kappa'); and it is newly found that the solution to the generalized integral varies differently in the cases of even and odd values of l-l'. The mistakes that we found in the previous literature can also be proved easily by some of our intermediate solutions

Abstract:We address a class of definite integrals known as Berndt-type integrals, highlighting their role as specialized instances within the integral representation framework of the Barnes-zeta function. Building upon the foundational insights of Xu and Zhao, who adeptly evaluate these integrals using rational linear combinations of Lambert-type series and derive closed-form expressions involving products of $\Gamma^4(1/4)$ and $\pi^{-1}$, we uncover direct evaluations of the Barnes-zeta function. Moreover, our inquiry leads us to establish connections between Berndt-type integrals and Jacobi elliptic functions, as well as moment polynomials investigated by Lomont and Brillhart, a relationship elucidated through the seminal contributions of Kuznetsov. In this manner, we extend and integrate these diverse mathematical threads, unveiling deeper insights into the intrinsic connections and broader implications of Berndt-type integrals in special function and integration theory.

Four center integrals for Coulomb interactions in small molecules

Abstract:In this work we make some progress on studying four center integrals for the Coulomb energy for both Hartree Fock (HF) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations for small molecules. We consider basis wave functions of the form of an arbitrary radial wave function multiplied by a spherical harmonic and study four center Coulomb integrals for them. We reformulated these Coulomb four center integrals in terms of some derivatives of integrals of nearly factorable functions which then depend on the Bessel transform of the radial wave functions considered.

Abstract:In many seemingly diverse physical contexts (including, for example, certain radiation field problems, studies of crystallographic minimal surfaces, the theory of scattering of acoustic or electromagnetic waves by means of an elliptic disk, studies of elliptical crack problems in fracture mechanics, and so on), a remarkably large number of general families of elliptic-type integrals, and indeed also many definite integrals of such families with respect to their modulus (or complementary modulus), are known to arise naturally. Motivated essentially by these and many other potential avenues of their applications, we present here a systematic account of the theory of a certain family of incomplete elliptic integrals in a unified and generalized manner. By means of the familiar Riemann-Liouville fractional differintegral operators, we obtain several explicit hypergeometric representations and apply these representations with a view to deriving various associated definite integrals, not only with respect to the modulus (or complementary modulus), but also with respect to the amplitude of the incomplete elliptic integrals involved therein.

Abstract:Using a representation of the unimodular Lorentz group, we derive some relations between hyper Bessel–Clifford, Macdonald and Meijer functions. We obtained them as two additional theorems (continual and countable) for a functional defined on the above group and a pair of basis functions belonging to representation spaces. Introducing a hyper analogue of the known first and second Hankel–Clifford integral transforms and writing the continual addition theorem for a particular case, we obtain a simple formula for the sum of these transforms of Macdonald function.

Abstract:We calculate some infinite sums containing the digamma function in closed-form. These sums are related either to the incomplete beta function or to the Bessel functions. The calculations yield interesting new results as by-products, such as parameter differentiation formulas for the beta incomplete function, reduction formulas of $_{3}F_{2}$ hypergeometric functions, or a definite integral which does not seem to be tabulated in the most common literature. As an application of some sums involving the digamma function, we have calculated some redution formulas for the parameter differentiation of the Mittag-Leffler function and the Wright function.
