Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of multiple solutions to the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem. We prove if $p<-n$, then for any integer $N>0$, there exists a smooth positive function f on $\mathbb S^n$ such that the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem admits at least N different smooth solutions. We also construct nonsmooth, positive function f for which the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem has infinitely many $C^{1,1}$ solutions.

Abstract: The $L_p$-Minkowski problem deals with the existence of closed convex hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed $p$-area measures. It extends the classical Minkowski problem and embraces several important geometric and physical applications. The Existence of solutions has been obtained in the sub-critical case $p>-n-1$, but the problem remains widely open in the super-critical case $p<-n-1$. In this paper, we introduce new ideas to solve the problem for all the super-critical exponents. A crucial ingredient in our proof is a topological method based on the calculation of the homology of a topological space of ellipsoids.

Abstract: In this paper, we study the $L_p$-Gaussian Minkowski problem, which arises in the $L_p$-Brunn-Minkowski theory in Gaussian probability space. We use Aleksandrov's variational method with Lagrange multipliers to prove the existence of the logarithmic Gauss Minkowski problem. We construct a suitable Gauss curvature flow of closed, convex hypersurfaces in the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$, and prove its long-time existence and converges smoothly to a smooth solution of the normalized $L_p$ Gaussian Minkowski problem in cases of $p>0$ and $-n-1<p\leq 0$ with even prescribed function respectively. We also provide a parabolic proof in the smooth category to the $L_p$-Gaussian Minkowski problem in cases of $p\geq n+1$ and $0<p<n+1$ with even prescribed function, respectively.

Abstract:We consider a shrinking flow of smooth, closed, uniformly convex hypersurfaces in (n+1)-dimensional Euclidean space with speed fu^{alpha}{sigma}_n^{beta}, where u is the support function of the hypersurface, alpha, beta are two constants, and beta>0, sigma_n is the n-th symmetric polynomial of the principle curvature radii of the hypersurface. We prove that the flow has a unique smooth and uniformly convex solution for all time, and converges smoothly after normalisation, to a soliton which is a solution of an elliptic equation, when the constants alpha, beta belong to a suitable range, provided the initial hypersuface is origin-symmetric and f is a smooth positive even function on S^n. For the case alpha>= 1+n*beta, beta>0, we prove that the flow converges smoothly after normalisation to a unique smooth solution of an elliptic equation without any constraint on the initial hypersuface and smooth positive function f. When beta=1, our argument provides a uniform proof to the existence of the solutions to the equation of L_p Minkowski problem for p belongs to (-n-1,+infty).

Abstract:We show that the only even, smooth, convex solutions to a class of isotropic mixed Christoffel-Minkowski type problems are origin-centred spheres, which, in particular, answers a question of Firey 74 in the even isotropic case about kinematic measures. Employing the Heintze-Karcher inequality, we prove that the only smooth, strictly convex solutions to a large class of Minkowski type problems are origin-centred spheres. Immediate corollaries are the uniqueness of solutions to the isotropic Orlicz-Minkowski problem and the isotropic $L_p$-Gaussian-Minkowski problem when $p\geq 1$.

Abstract:In this paper, we apply various methods to establish the uniqueness of solutions to some classes of anisotropic and isotropic curvature problems. Firstly, by employing integral formulas derived by S. S. Chern [20], we obtain the uniqueness of smooth admissible solutions to a class of Orlicz-(Christoffel)-Minkowski problems. Secondly, inspired by Simon's uniqueness result [61], we then prove that the only smooth strictly convex solution to the following isotropic curvature problem (P-k(W)/P-l(W)(1/k-l) = psi(u, r) on S-n (0.1) must be an origin-centred sphere, where W = (del(2)u + ug(0)), partial derivative(1) psi >= 0, partial derivative(2)psi >= 0and at least one of these inequalities is strict. As an application, we establish the uniqueness of solutions to the isotropic Gaussian-Minkowski problem. Finally, we derive the uniqueness result for the following isotropic L-p dual Minkowski problem u(1-p)r(q-n-1) det(W) = 1 on S-n, (0.2) where - n - 1 < p <= -1 and n + 1 <= q <= n + 1/2 + root 1/4 - (1+p)(n+1+p)/n(n+2). Abstract:Lutwak, Yang and Zhang \cite{LYZ2018} introduced the $L_p$ dual curvature measure that unifies several other geometric measures in dual Brunn-Minkowski theory and Brunn- Minkowski theory. Motivated by works in \cite{LYZ2018}, we consider the uniqueness and continuity of the solution to the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem. To extend the important work (Theorem \ref{uniquepolytope}) of LYZ to the case for general convex bodies, we establish some new Minkowski-type inequalities which are closely related to the optimization problem associated with the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem. When $q< p$, the uniqueness of the solution to the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for general convex bodies is obtained. Moreover, we obtain the continuity of the solution to the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for convex bodies.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the problem of the uniqueness of singular points of vector fields on Riemannian manifolds. The radii of the uniqueness balls of the singular points of vector fields are estimated under the assumption that the vector fields satisfy the γ-condition, and the results due to Wang and Han in [Criterion α and Newton's method under weak conditions, Chinese J. In this paper, by generalizing Ben Andrews's result we obtain the complete classification of the solutions of the planar isotropic $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem, that is, for any $p,q\in\mathbb{R}$ we obtain the complete classification of the solutions of the following equation: \begin{equation*} u^{1-p}(u_{\theta}^2+u^2)^{\frac{q-2}{2}}(u_{\theta\theta}+u)=1\quad\text{on}\ \mathbb{S}^1. \end{equation*} To establish the classification, we convert the ODE for the solution into an integral and study its asymptotic behavior, duality and monotonicity.

Abstract:In this paper, we show that if $L_p$ Gaussian surface area measure is proportional to the spherical Lebesgue measure, then the corresponding convex body has to be a centered disk when $p\in[0,1)$. Moreover, we investigate $C^0$ estimate of the corresponding convex bodies when the density function of their Gaussian surface area measures have the uniform upper and lower bound. We obtain convex bodies' uniform upper and lower bound when $p=0$ in asymmetric situation and $p\in(0,1)$ in symmetric situation. In fact, for $p\in(0,1)$ , there is a counterexample to claim the uniform bound does not exist in asymmetric situation.
