Abstract:In this paper we study the Lp dual Minkowski problem for the case p＜0＜q.We prove for any positive smooth function f on S1,there exists an F:R+→ R-,such that if F(q)＜p＜0 or 0＜q＜-F(-p)then there is a smooth and strictly convex body solving the planar Lp dual Minkowski problem.

Abstract:In this paper, we resolve the planar dual Minkowski problem, proposed by Huang et al. (2016) [31] for all positive indices without any symmetry assumption. More precisely, given any q>0, and function f on S1, bounded by two positive constants, we show that there exists a convex body Ω in the plane, containing the origin in its interior, whose dual curvature measure C˜q(Ω,⋅) has density f. In particular, if f is smooth, then ∂Ω is also smooth.

Abstract: The $L_p$-Minkowski problem deals with the existence of closed convex hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^{n+1}$ with prescribed $p$-area measures. It extends the classical Minkowski problem and embraces several important geometric and physical applications. The Existence of solutions has been obtained in the sub-critical case $p>-n-1$, but the problem remains widely open in the super-critical case $p<-n-1$. In this paper, we introduce new ideas to solve the problem for all the super-critical exponents. A crucial ingredient in our proof is a topological method based on the calculation of the homology of a topological space of ellipsoids.

We consider the case p >= 1 and 1 < q < nin the smooth category by a kind of curvature flow, which converges smoothly to the solution of a Monge-Amp & eacute;re type equation. We show the existence of smooth solution to the problem for p >= n. We also provide a proof for the weak solution to the problem when p >= 1, which has been obtained by Zou and Xiong.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the existence of multiple solutions to the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem. We prove if $p<-n$, then for any integer $N>0$, there exists a smooth positive function f on $\mathbb S^n$ such that the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem admits at least N different smooth solutions. We also construct nonsmooth, positive function f for which the $L_{p}$-Minkowski problem has infinitely many $C^{1,1}$ solutions.

Abstract:Given a function f > 0 on the unit sphere n +1 , the Minkowski problem in the sphere concerns the existence of convex hypersurfaces M subset of(n +1) such that the Gauss curvature of M at z is equal to f (v( z )), where v(z) is the unit outer normal of M at z . We use the min-max principle and the Gauss curvature flow to prove that there are at least two solutions to the problem. By using the rotating plane method in the sphere, we also show the existence of a rotationally symmetric and monotone function f such that there are exactly two solutions.

Abstract:We consider a shrinking flow of smooth, closed, uniformly convex hypersurfaces in (n+1)-dimensional Euclidean space with speed fu^{alpha}{sigma}_n^{beta}, where u is the support function of the hypersurface, alpha, beta are two constants, and beta>0, sigma_n is the n-th symmetric polynomial of the principle curvature radii of the hypersurface. We prove that the flow has a unique smooth and uniformly convex solution for all time, and converges smoothly after normalisation, to a soliton which is a solution of an elliptic equation, when the constants alpha, beta belong to a suitable range, provided the initial hypersuface is origin-symmetric and f is a smooth positive even function on S^n. For the case alpha>= 1+n*beta, beta>0, we prove that the flow converges smoothly after normalisation to a unique smooth solution of an elliptic equation without any constraint on the initial hypersuface and smooth positive function f. When beta=1, our argument provides a uniform proof to the existence of the solutions to the equation of L_p Minkowski problem for p belongs to (-n-1,+infty).

Abstract:The dual Minkowski problem in the two-dimensional plane is studied in this paper. By combining the theoretical analysis and numerical estimation of an integral with parameters, we find the number of solutions to this problem for the constant dual curvature case when $0<q\leq4$. An improved nonuniqueness result when $q>4$ is also obtained. As an application, a result on the uniqueness and nonuniqueness of solutions to the $L_p$-Alexandrov problem is obtained for $p<0$.

Abstract:Lutwak, Yang and Zhang [23] introduced the concept of Lp dual curvature measure for convex bodies and star bodies, and studied the Minkowski problem. We in this paper establish a new unified concept, in briefly, the (p,q)-mixed quermassintegrals, via (p,q)-dual mixed curvature measure, and further have a deep discussion on Minkowski problem with respect to the (p,q)-dual mixed curvature measure. By the way, we derive at some important properties and geometric inequalities for (p,q)-mixed quermassintegrals.

Abstract:The central focus of this paper is the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for $C$-compatible sets, where $C$ is a pointed closed convex cone in $\mathbb{R}^n$ with nonempty interior. Such a problem deals with the characterization of the $(p, q)$-th dual curvature measure of a $C$-compatible set. It produces new Monge-Ampère equations for unbounded convex hypersurface, often defined over open domains and with non-positive unknown convex functions. Within the family of $C$-determined sets, the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem is solved for $0\neq p\in \mathbb{R}$ and $q\in \mathbb{R}$; while it is solved for the range of $p\leq 0$ and $p<q$ within the newly defined family of $(C, p, q)$-close sets. When $p\leq q$, we also obtain some results regarding the uniqueness of solutions to the $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem for $C$-compatible sets.

Abstract:In this paper, we show that if $L_p$ Gaussian surface area measure is proportional to the spherical Lebesgue measure, then the corresponding convex body has to be a centered disk when $p\in[0,1)$. Moreover, we investigate $C^0$ estimate of the corresponding convex bodies when the density function of their Gaussian surface area measures have the uniform upper and lower bound. We obtain convex bodies' uniform upper and lower bound when $p=0$ in asymmetric situation and $p\in(0,1)$ in symmetric situation. In fact, for $p\in(0,1)$ , there is a counterexample to claim the uniform bound does not exist in asymmetric situation.

In this paper, by generalizing Ben Andrews's result we obtain the complete classification of the solutions of the planar isotropic $L_p$ dual Minkowski problem, that is, for any $p,q\in\mathbb{R}$ we obtain the complete classification of the solutions of the following equation: \begin{equation*} u^{1-p}(u_{\theta}^2+u^2)^{\frac{q-2}{2}}(u_{\theta\theta}+u)=1\quad\text{on}\ \mathbb{S}^1. \end{equation*} To establish the classification, we convert the ODE for the solution into an integral and study its asymptotic behavior, duality and monotonicity.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider an extremal problem associated with the solution to a boundary value problem. Our main focus is on establishing a variational formula for a functional related to the $\mathbf{p}$-harmonic measure, from which a new measure is derived. This further motivates us to study the Minkowski problem for this new measure. As a main result, we prove the existence of solutions to the $L_q$ Minkowski problem associated with the $\mathbf{p}$-harmonic measure for $0<q<1$ and $1<\mathbf{p}\ne n+1$.
