Abstract:In a recent paper, the discrete Gabor transform was connected to a Gabor transform with a time frequency domain given by the flat torus. We show that the corresponding Bargmann spaces can be expressed as theta line bundles on Abelian varieties. We give applications of this viewpoint to frame results for the discrete Gabor transform. In particular, we get results which hold in higher dimension. We also give an application to asymptotics of restriction operators which arises from the asymptotic behavior of Bergman kernels for high tensor powers.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
This paper aims to solve the theoretical framework and application problems of the Discrete Gabor Transform (DGT) in high - dimensional cases. Specifically, by introducing methods in complex geometry, especially concepts related to Theta Line Bundles, the paper studies the frame conditions of DGT and the behavior of restriction operators. ### Main problems solved in the paper: 1. **Frame conditions of high - dimensional DGT**: - By relating DGT to the Gabor transform on the flat torus and using the properties of Theta Line Bundles, the author derives the frame conditions of DGT in high - dimensional cases. These conditions are not only applicable to the one - dimensional case but can also be generalized to higher dimensions. - Specifically, the author proves that when a specific window function \( h_{\Omega/N} \) is selected, the frame conditions of DGT can be described by the multipoint pseudoeffective threshold and Seshadri constant of Theta Line Bundles. These conditions still hold in high - dimensional cases and provide a more intuitive geometric interpretation. 2. **Study of restriction operators**: - The author also studies the restriction operators on the flat torus, which can be regarded as Toeplitz operators on Theta Line Bundles under high tensor powers. Through this method, the author is able to analyze the behavior of restriction operators in the case of a large number of sample points. - In particular, the author proves that when the symbol function \( a \) is bounded or real - valued, the asymptotic behavior of the trace and eigenvalues of the restriction operator can be described by the Chern class and volume form of Theta Line Bundles. ### Main results: - **Theorem 1.1**: Gives the conditions for DGT to form a Gabor frame on \( \mathbb{C}^{N^d} \), which involve the multipoint pseudoeffective threshold and Seshadri constant of Theta Line Bundles. - **Theorem 1.3**: Studies the restriction operator \( R(N) \) on the flat torus and proves the asymptotic behavior of its trace and eigenvalues. ### Methods and tools: - **Theta Line Bundles**: The paper uses the properties of Theta Line Bundles to transform the frame conditions of DGT into problems in complex geometry. - **Seshadri constants and pseudoeffective thresholds**: These geometric invariants are used to describe the frame conditions of DGT. - **Asymptotic behavior of Bergman kernels**: Used to analyze the asymptotic properties of restriction operators. ### Conclusion: By introducing methods in complex geometry, especially the concept of Theta Line Bundles, the paper successfully generalizes the frame conditions of DGT from one dimension to high dimensions and provides a new perspective for the study of restriction operators. These results not only enrich the theoretical basis of time - frequency analysis but also provide new tools and methods for practical applications.
