Abstract:We prove Juhl type formulas for the curved Ovsienko--Redou operators and their linear analogues, which indicate the associated formal self-adjointness, thereby confirming two conjectures of Case, Lin, and Yuan. We also offer an extension of Juhl's original formula for the GJMS operators.

Abstract:Based on the works of Gursky (CMP, 1997), Vétois (Potential Anal., 2023) and Case (Crelle's journal, 2024), we make use of an Obata type formula established in these works to obtain some Liouville type theorems on conformally Einstein manifolds. In particular, we solve Hang-Yang conjecture (IMRN, 2020) via an Obata-type argument and obtain optimal perturbation.

Formal principle with convergence for rational curves of Goursat type

Abstract:We propose a conjecture that a general member of a bracket-generating family of rational curves in a complex manifold satisfies the formal principle with convergence, namely, any formal equivalence between such curves is convergent. If the normal bundles of the rational curves are positive, the conjecture follows from the results of Commichau-Grauert and Hirschowitz. We prove the conjecture for the opposite case when the normal bundles are furthest from positive vector bundles among bracket-generating families, namely, when the families of rational curves are of Goursat type. The proof uses natural ODEs associated to rational curves of Goursat type and corresponding Cartan connections constructed by Doubrov-Komrakov-Morimoto. As an example, we see that a general line on a smooth cubic fourfold satisfies the formal principle with convergence.

Abstract:We develop a Gauss decomposition approach to establish a Drinfeld type current presentation for Olshanski's twisted Yangians associated to the orthogonal Lie algebras (also called twisted Yangians of type AI), settling a longstanding open problem. We expect that this will open the door for finding current presentations for other twisted Yangians.

Abstract:Drawing on work of Berndtsson and of Lempert and Szőke, we define a kind of complex analytic structure for families of (possibly finite-dimensional) Hilbert spaces that might not fit together to form a holomorphic vector bundle but nevertheless have a reasonable definition of curvature that agrees with the curvature of the Chern connection when the family of Hilbert spaces is locally trivial. We thus obtain a new proof of a celebrated theorem of Berndtsson on the curvature of direct images of semi-positively twisted relative canonical bundles (i.e., adjoint bundles), and of its higher-rank generalization due to Liu and Yang.

Abstract:We extend the subrepresentation formula $$ |f(x)|\le c_n\,I_1(|\nabla f|)(x) $$ in several ways. First, we consider more general $A_1$-potential operators on the right-hand side and prove local and global pointwise inequalities for these operators. Second, we show that we can improve the right-hand side using fractional derivatives. Finally, we extend our results to rough singular integral operators, similar to the main result in [HMP1].

Abstract:As a sequel to our recent work on Casselman--Shahidi's holomorphicity conjecture on half-normalized intertwining operators for quasi-split classical groups, we modify our method, based on a lemma of Heiermann--Opdam, to prove certain cases of the conjecture for groups of exceptional type uniformly. One main ingredient, established here, is to find an algorithm to produce reduced decompositions of co-rank one relative longest Weyl elements, in terms of certain "small" counterparts.

On A Generalization of Motohashi's Formula

Abstract:We give an adelic version of a spectral reciprocity formula relating $\mathrm{GL}_3 \times \mathrm{GL}_2$ with $\mathrm{GL}_3 \times \mathrm{GL}_1$ and $\mathrm{GL}_1$ moments of $L$-functions discovered by Xiaoqing Li. For many types of the $\mathrm{GL}_3$ representation, we describe the local weight transforms via a decomposition of Voronoi's formula in terms of elementary transforms, which generalizes the one given by Miller--Schmid in a way consistent with the local Langlands correspondence. We obtain some integral representation of the Bessel functions for $\mathrm{GL}_2$ uniformly over all local fields. We announce the dual weight computation in a new case, which identifies the coset problem parallel to that in Petrow--Young's Weyl-type subconvexity for general Dirichlet $L$-functions. The proof and extensive study of other accessible cases will be given in a separate paper.

Abstract:The original Choi–Davis–Jensen's inequality, known for its extensive applications in various scientific and engineering fields, has inspired researchers to pursue its generalizations. In this study, we extend the Choi–Davis–Jensen's inequality by introducing a nonlinear map instead of a normalized linear map and generalize the concept of operator convex functions to include any continuous function defined within a compact region. Notably, operators can be matrices with structural symmetry, enhancing the scope and applicability of our results. The Stone–Weierstrass theorem and the Kantorovich function play crucial roles in the formulation and proof of these generalized Choi–Davis–Jensen's inequalities. Furthermore, we demonstrate an application of this generalized inequality in the context of statistical physics.

Polyakov formulas for conical singularities in two dimensions

Abstract:We investigate the zeta-regularized determinant and its variation in the presence of conical singularities, boundaries, and corners. For surfaces with isolated conical singularities which may also have one or more smooth boundary components, we demonstrate both a variational Polyakov formula as well as an integrated Polyakov formula for the conformal variation of the Riemannian metric with conformal factors which are smooth up to all singular points and boundary components. We demonstrate the analogous result for curvilinear polygonal domains in surfaces. We then specialize to finite circular sectors and cones and via two independent methods obtain variational Polyakov formulas for the dependence of the determinant on the opening angle. Notably, this requires the conformal factor to be logarithmically singular at the vertex. We further obtain explicit formulas for the determinant for finite circular sectors and cones.

Abstract:Quasi-conformal actions were introduced in the physics literature as a generalization of the familiar fractional linear action on the upper half plane, to Hermitian symmetric tube domains based on arbitrary Jordan algebras, and further to arbitrary Freudenthal triple systems. In the mathematics literature, quaternionic discrete series unitary representations of real reductive groups in their quaternionic real form were constructed as degree 1 cohomology on the twistor spaces of symmetric quaternionic-Kahler spaces. These two constructions are essentially identical, as we show explicitly for the two rank 2 cases SU(2,1) and G_{2(2)}. We obtain explicit results for certain principal series, quaternionic discrete series and minimal representations of these groups, including formulas for the lowest K-types in various polarizations. We expect our results to have applications to topological strings, black hole micro-state counting and to the theory of automorphic forms.

Abstract:We present a novel proof, using group theory, for a Meijer transform formula. This proof reveals the formula as a specific case of a broader generalized result. The generalization is achieved through a linear operator that intertwines two representations of the connected component of the identity of the group SO(2,2). Using this same approach, we derive a formula for the sum of three double integral transforms, where the kernels are represented by Bessel functions. It is particularly noteworthy that the group SO(2,2) is connected to symmetry in several significant ways, especially in mathematical physics and geometry.

Abstract:This paper represents the completion of our work on the ODE/IM correspondence for the generalised quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov models. We present a unified and general mathematical theory, encompassing all particular cases that we had already addressed, and we fill important analytic and algebraic gaps in the literature on the ODE/IM correspondence. For every affine Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ -- whose Langlands dual $\mathfrak{g}'$ is the untwisted affinisation of a simple Lie algebra -- we study a class of affine twisted parabolic Miura $\mathfrak{g}$-opers, introduced by Feigin, Frenkel and Hernandez. The Feigin-Frenkel-Hernandez opers are defined by fixing the singularity structure at $0$ and $\infty$, and by allowing a finite number of additional singular terms with trivial monodromy. We define the central connection matrix and Stokes matrix for these opers, and prove that the coefficients of the former satisfy the the $QQ$ system of the quantum $\mathfrak{g}'$-Drinfeld-Sokolov (or quantum $\mathfrak{g}'$-KdV) model. If $\mathfrak{g}$ is untwisted, it is known that the trivial monodromy conditions are equivalent to a complete system of algebraic equations for the additional singularities. We prove a suprising negative result in the case $\mathfrak{g}$ is twisted: in this case, the trivial monodromy conditions have no non-trivial solutions.

Abstract:In this paper, we have developed novel proofs of two known formulas for the Meijer integral transform and obtained non-trivial extensions of these formulas (in one of them, the Bessel function is replaced by the Coulomb wave function). Also we have derived a new formula for a series involving product of Whittaker functions and modified Bessel functions of the second kind. Our proofs are based on a group theoretical approach and involves the use of an intertwining operator for two representations of one matrix group.

Abstract:We propose a conjectural formula expressing the generating series of some Hodge integrals in terms of representation theory of Kac-Moody algebras. Such generating series appear in calculations of Gromov-Witten invariants by localization techniques. It generalizes a formula conjectured by Mari\~no and Vafa, recently proved in joint work with Chiu-Chu Melissa Liu and Kefeng Liu. Some examples are presented.
