Abstract:We consider multi-polylogarithm functions which are slightly different from the ordinary ones. These functions have two integral representations and an order structure similar to those of multiple zeta star values. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition for the set of values of our multi-polylogarithm functions to be a dense set.

Abstract:We study the asymptotic behavior of a multiple series of Mordell-Tornheim type and its integral analogue at x=0. Our approach is to show a relation between the multiple series and its integral analogue by using Abel's summation formula, and to deeply investigate the behavior of the integral analogue. Additionally, we establish some nontrivial relations among multiple polylogarithms by comparing two seemingly different asymptotic formulas for the integral analogue.

Abstract:Recently, Maesaka, Watanabe, and the third author discovered a phenomenon where the iterated integral expressions of multiple zeta values become discretized. In this paper, we extend their result to the case of multiple polylogarithms and provide two proofs. The first proof uses the method of connected sums, while the second employs induction based on the difference equations that discrete multiple polylogarithms satisfy. We also investigate several applications of our main result.

Abstract:Abstract By using the method of iterated integral representations of series, we establish some explicit relationships between multiple zeta values and integrals of logarithmic functions. As applications of these relations, we show that multiple zeta values of the form $$\begin{array}{} \zeta ( {\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{m - 1}},\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{k - 1}}} ),\qquad (k,m\in \mathbb{N}) \end{array} $$ for m = 1 or k = 1, and $$\begin{array}{} \zeta ( {\bar 1,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{m - 1}},p,{{\left\{ 1 \right\}}_{k - 1}}}),\qquad (k,m\in\mathbb{N}) \end{array} $$ for p = 1 and 2, satisfy certain recurrence relations which allow us to write them in terms of zeta values, polylogarithms and ln 2. Furthermore, we also obtain reductions for certain multiple polylogarithmic values at $\begin{array}{} \frac {1}{2} \end{array} $ .

Abstract:In the present paper, we derive formulas of complex and $\ell$-adic multiple polylogarithms, which have two aspects: a duality in terms of indexes and a reflection in terms of variables. We provide an algebraic proof of these formulas by using algebraic relations between associators arising from the $S_3$-symmetry of the projective line minus three points.

We explain the construction of the motivic polylog as published in Annette Huber, Jörg Wildeshaus, Classical Motivic Polylogarithm According to Beilinson and Deligne, <a class="link-external link-http" href="http://Doc.Math.J.DMV" rel="external noopener nofollow">this http URL</a> 3 (1998) 27-133. The main application is a comparison result for cyclotomic elements needed in the proof of the Tamagawa number conjecture of Bloch and Kato for Dirichlet characters. The exposition concentrates on the Hodge theoretic part of the story.

Abstract:We introduce multi-poly-Bernoulli-Carlitz numbers, function field analogues of multi-poly-Bernoulli numbers of Imatomi-Kaneko-Takeda. We explicitly describe multi-poly-Bernoulli Carlitz numbers in terms of the Carlitz factorial and the Stirling-Carlitz numbers of the second kind and also show their relationships with function field analogues of finite multiple zeta values.

Abstract:We define a variant of real-analytic polylogarithms that are single-valued and that satisfy ''clean'' functional relations that do not involve any products of lower weight functions. We discuss the basic properties of these functions and, for depths one and two, we present some explicit formulas and results. We also give explicit formulas for the single-valued and clean single-valued version attached to the Nielsen polylogarithms $S_{n,2}(x)$, and we show how the clean single-valued functions give new evaluations of multiple polylogarithms at certain algebraic points.

Polylogarithm Variations and Motivic Extensions of $\mathbb{Q}$ by $\mathbb{Q}(m)$

Abstract:Deligne and Goncharov constructed a neutral tannakian category of mixed Tate motives unramified over $\mathbb{Z}[\mu_N,1/N]$. Brown and Hain--Matsumoto computed the depth 2 quadratic relations of the motivic Galois group of this category for $N = 1$. We take the first steps in generalizing their results to all $N \ge 1$ by realizing the generators of the motivic Galois group by derivations on the Lie algebra of the unipotent fundamental group of a restriction of the Tate elliptic curve. This representation is compatible with a natural identification of the odd rational $K$-groups of the rings $\mathbb{Z}[\mu_N,1/N]$ with spaces of $\Gamma_1(N)$ Eisenstein series, thus inducing a natural action of the prime to $N$ part of the Hecke algebra on the $K$-groups. We establish these results by first showing the inclusion of $\mathbb{P}^1 - \{0,\mu_N,\infty\}$ into the nodal elliptic curve with a cyclic subgroup of order $N$ removed induces a morphism of mixed Tate motives on unipotent fundamental groups and then by computing the periods of the limit mixed Hodge structure of an elliptic polylogarithm variation of MHS over the universal elliptic curve of $Y_1(N)$.

Abstract:In this article, we express solutions of the Gauss hypergeometric equation as a series of the multiple polylogarithms by using iterated integral. This representation is the most simple case of a semisimple representation of solutions of the formal KZ equation. Moreover, combining this representation with the connection relations of solutions of the Gauss hypergeometric equation, we obtain various relations of the multiple polylogarithms of one variable and the multiple zeta values.

Abstract:A bstract Elliptic multiple polylogarithms occur in Feynman integrals and in particular in scattering amplitudes. They can be characterized by their symbol, a tensor product in the so-called symbol letters. In contrast to the non-elliptic case, the elliptic letters themselves satisfy highly non-trivial identities, which we discuss in this paper. Moreover, we introduce the symbol prime, an analog of the symbol for elliptic symbol letters, which makes these identities manifest. We demonstrate its use in two explicit examples at two-loop order: the unequal-mass sunrise integral in two dimensions and the ten-point double-box integral in four dimensions. Finally, we also report the result of the polylogarithmic nine-point double-box integral, which arises as the soft limit of the ten-point integral.

Two formulas for certain double and multiple polylogarithms in two variables

Abstract:We give a weighted sum formula for the double polylogarithm in two variables, from which we can recover the classical weighted sum formulas for double zeta values, double $T$-values, and some double $L$-values. Also presented is a connection-type formula for a two-variable multiple polylogarithm, which specializes to previously known single-variable formulas. This identity can also be regarded as a generalization of the renowned five-term relation for the dilogarithm.

Abstract:Classical polylogarithms give rise to a variation of mixed Hodge-Tate structures on the punctured projective line $S=\mathbb{P}^1\setminus \{0, 1, \infty\}$, which is an extension of the symmetric power of the Kummer variation by a trivial variation. By results of Beilinson-Deligne, Huber-Wildeshaus, and Ayoub, this polylogarithm variation has a lift to the category of mixed Tate motives over $S$, whose existence is proved by computing the corresponding space of extensions in both the motivic and the Hodge settings. In this paper, we construct the polylogarithm motive as an explicit relative cohomology motive, namely that of the complement of the hypersurface $\{1-zt_1\cdots t_n=0\}$ in affine space $\mathbb{A}^n_S$ relative to the union of the hyperplanes $\{t_i=0\}$ and $\{t_i=1\}$.

Explicit Relations of Some Variants of Convoluted Multiple Zeta Values

Abstract:Kaneko and Yamamoto introduced a convoluted variant of multiple zeta values (MVZs) around 2016. In this paper, we will first establish some explicit formulas involving these values and their alternating version by using iterated integrals, which enable us to derive some explicit relations of the multiple polylogarithm (MPL) functions. Next, we define convoluted multiple $t$-values and multiple mixed values (MMVs) as level two analogs of convoluted MZVs, and, similar to convoluted MZVs, use iterated integrals to find some relations of these level two analogs. We will then consider the parametric MPLs and the parametric multiple harmonic (star) sums, and extend the Kaneko-Yamamoto's "integral-series" identity of MZVs to MPLs and MMVs. Finally, we will study multiple integrals of MPLs and MMVs by generalizing Yamamoto's graphical representations to multiple-labeled posets.

Abstract:We present a review of the symbol map, a mathematical tool introduced by Goncharov and used by him and collaborators in the context of $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM for simplifying expressions among multiple polylogarithms, and we recall its main properties. A recipe is given for how to obtain the symbol of a multiple polylogarithm in terms of the combinatorial properties of an associated rooted decorated polygon, and it is indicated how that recipe relates to a similar explicit formula for it previously given by Goncharov. We also outline a systematic approach to constructing a function corresponding to a given symbol, and illustrate it in the particular case of harmonic polylogarithms up to weight four. Furthermore, part of the ambiguity of this process is highlighted by exhibiting a family of non-trivial elements in the kernel of the symbol map for arbitrary weight.

Abstract:Abstract We introduce the multivariable connected sum which is a generalization of Seki–Yamamoto’s connected sum and prove the fundamental identity for these sums by series manipulation. This identity yields explicit procedures for evaluating multivariable connected sums and for giving relations among special values of multiple polylogarithms. In particular, our class of relations contains Ohno’s relations for multiple polylogarithms.

Abstract:This paper focuses on the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$, which extends the notion of classical polylogarithm. A new integral representation for $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ is derived. Using this integral representation, we discuss its complete monotonicity along with related consequences and establish bounds for $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$. In the process, we modify an existing integral representation of the Lerch transcendent function $\Psi(z, s, a)$ to extend its applicability to a larger domain. Additionally, Turán-type inequalities for the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ are explored. Finally, we present an alternative proof of the existing integral representation of the generalized polylogarithm $\Phi_{p, q}(a, b; z)$ using the integral form of Hadamard convolution.

Abstract:We construct polylogarithms on families of pointed Riemann surfaces of any genus which describe monodromies of meromorphic connections with simple poles.
