Abstract:We study the $\Phi^3_2$-measure in the infinite volume limit. This is the invariant measure for several stochastic partial differential equations including the parabolic and hyperbolic $\Phi^3_2$-models. In the large torus limit, we observe a concentration phenomenon of the $\Phi^3_2$-measure around zero, which is the single minimizer of the corresponding Hamiltonian for any fixed torus size. From our sharp estimates for the partition function, we obtain a triviality result for the $\Phi^3_2$-measure on infinite volume: the ensemble collapses onto a delta function on the zero field.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem that this paper attempts to solve is whether the Gibbs measure of the $\Phi^2_3$ model will collapse in the infinite - volume limit. Specifically, the author studied the $\Phi^2_3$ measure defined on the two - dimensional distribution space and whether this measure will concentrate near zero in the infinite - volume limit. This problem is of great significance for understanding the invariant measures of certain stochastic partial differential equations (such as parabolic and hyperbolic $\Phi^2_3$ models). ### Main contributions of the paper 1. **Concentration estimate**: The author proved that in the infinite - volume limit, the $\Phi^2_3$ measure will concentrate near zero, that is, the measure collapses to a delta function located at the zero field. This result shows that as the volume increases, the complexity of the system actually becomes very simple. 2. **Free energy analysis**: By analyzing the upper and lower bounds of the free energy, the author obtained the specific conditions for the measure to collapse. In particular, they proved that with an appropriate choice of chemical potential, the behavior of the free energy in the infinite - volume limit can be accurately described. 3. **Ultraviolet stability**: The author established the ultraviolet stability of the $\Phi^2_3$ measure using the variational method, which means that the singularities on a small scale are effectively controlled. ### Main results - **Theorem 1.5**: There exists a sufficiently large constant $A_0\geq1$ such that for all $\sigma\in\mathbb{R}\setminus\{0\}$ and $A\geq A_0$, the $\Phi^2_3$ measure collapses to a delta function near zero in the infinite - volume limit. Specifically, for any $\eta, m, \epsilon>0$ and test functions $g_j$, we have \[ \lim_{L\rightarrow\infty}\rho_L\left(\left\{\phi\in H^{-\eta}(T^2_L):\max_{1\leq j\leq m}\left|\langle\phi, g_j\rangle\right|\geq\epsilon\right\}\right) = 0. \] This means that in the sense of weak convergence, the infinite - volume limit of $\rho_L$ is the trivial measure $\delta_0$, which places unit mass at the zero field. ### Key techniques - **Wick renormalization**: To deal with singularities at low regularity, the author used the Wick renormalization method to make appropriate adjustments to the nonlinear terms. - **Variational method**: Through the variational method, the author analyzed the behavior of the free energy and established the result of ultraviolet stability. - **Large - deviation estimate**: The author calculated the asymptotic behavior of the free energy in the infinite - volume limit, thereby proving the concentration phenomenon of the measure. ### Significance This result is not only of great significance in mathematics but also provides a deep understanding of certain models in quantum field theory in physics. In particular, it reveals that in the infinite - volume limit, the behavior of the system may become very simple, even if the system exhibits complex dynamic characteristics in a finite volume.
