A note on double affine Hecke algebra for skein algebra on twice-punctured torus

Abstract:We construct a generalization of the $C^\vee C_1$-type double affine Hecke algebra for the skein algebra on the twice-punctured torus $\Sigma_{1,2}$ using the Heegaard dual of the Iwahori--Hecke operator recently introduced in our previous article. We show that the automorphisms of our algebra correspond to the Dehn twists about the curves on $\Sigma_{1,2}$. We also give the cluster algebraic construction of the the classical limit of the skein algebra, where the Dehn twists are given in terms of the cluster mutations.

For an irreducible smooth F ̄ p \overline {\mathbf {F}}_p -representation π \pi of G G , and a weight σ \sigma of K K contained in π \pi , we prove that π \pi admits eigenvectors for the spherical Hecke algebra H ( K , σ ) \mathcal {H}(K, \sigma ) . Our approach is close to that of Barthel–Livné [Duke Math. J. 75 (1994), pp. 261–292] for G L 2 GL_2 . For G L n ( n ≥ 3 ) GL_n (n\geq 3) , we give a sketch of an essential case where the analogue of a crucial ingredient in loc.cit fails.

Abstract:We define the twisted doubling zeta integrals of Cai-Friedberg-Ginzburg-Kaplan in the setting of algebraic families. We then prove a rationality result and a functional equation for these zeta integrals. This allows us to define an unnormalized $\gamma$-factor associated to certain families of representation of a classical group times a general linear group.

Abstract:We construct an invertible normalised 2 cocycle on the Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid of a cleft Hopf Galois extension under the condition that the corresponding Hopf algebra is cocommutative and the image of the unital cocycle corresponding to this cleft Hopf Galois extension belongs to the centre of the coinvariant subalgebra. Moreover, we show that any Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid of this kind is isomorphic to a 2-cocycle twist of the Ehresmann Schauenburg bialgebroid corresponding to a Hopf Galois extension without cocycle, where comodule algebra is an ordinary smash product of the coinvariant subalgebra and the Hopf algebra (i.e. $\C(B/#_{\sigma}H, H)\simeq \C(B\#H, H)^{\tilde{\sigma}}$). We also study the theory in the case of a Galois object where the base is trivial but without requiring the Hopf algebra to be cocommutative.

An extension of Deligne-Henniart's twisting formula and its applications

Abstract:Let $F/\bbQ_p$ be a non-Archimedean local field, and $G_F$ be the absolute Galois group of $F$. Let $\rho_1$ and $\rho_2$ be two finite-dimensional complex representations of $G_F$. Let $\psi$ be a nontrivial additive character of $F$. Then, the question is: What is the twisting formula for the root number $W(\rho_1\otimes\rho_2,\psi)$?} In general, the answer to this question is not yet known. However, if one of $\rho_i \quad(i=1,2)$ is one-dimensional with ``sufficiently'' large conductor, then in [13], Deligne gave a twisting formula for $W(\rho_1\otimes\rho_2,\psi)$. Later, in [12], Deligne and Henniart gave a general twisting formula for a {\it zero}-dimensional virtual representation twisted by a finite-dimensional representation of $G_F$. In this paper, we first extend Deligne's twisting formula for U-isotropic Heisenberg representation of dimension prime $p$, then we further extend Deligne-Henniart's result. Finally, we provide two very important applications of our twisting formula: -- (i) invariant formula for the local root numbers for U-isotropic Heisenberg representations, and (ii) a converse theorem on the Galois side.

Abstract:We study the eigenforms of the action of A. Baker's Hecke operators on the holomorphic elliptic homology of various topological spaces. We prove a multiplicity one theorem (i.e., one-dimensionality of the space of these "topological Hecke eigenforms" for any given eigencharacter) for some classes of topological spaces, and we give examples of finite CW-complexes for which multiplicity one fails. We also develop some abstract "derived eigentheory" whose motivating examples arise from the failure of classical Hecke operators to commute with multiplication by various Eisenstein series, or non-cuspidal holomorphic modular forms in general. Part of this "derived eigentheory" is an identification of certain derived Hecke eigenforms as the obstructions to extending topological Hecke eigenforms from the top cell of a CW-complex to the rest of the CW-complex. Using these obstruction classes together with our multiplicity one theorem, we calculate the topological Hecke eigenforms explicitly, in terms of pairs of classical modular forms, on all 2-cell CW complexes obtained by coning off an element in which stably has Adams–Novikov filtration 1.

Twisted Cohomology of Configuration Spaces and Spaces of Maximal Tori Via Point-Counting

Abstract:We consider two families of algebraic varieties Y_n indexed by natural numbers n: the configuration space of unordered n-tuples of distinct points on ℂ, and the space of unordered n-tuples of linearly independent lines in ℂ^n. Let W_n be any sequence of virtual S_n-representations given by a character polynomial, we compute H^i(Y_n; W_n) for all i and all n in terms of double generating functions. One consequence of the computation is a new recurrence phenomenon: the stable twisted Betti numbers lim_n→∞ H^i(Y_n; W_n) are linearly recurrent in i. Our method is to compute twisted point-counts on the F_q-points of certain algebraic varieties, and then pass through the Grothendieck-Lefschetz fixed point formula to prove results in topology. We also generalize a result of Church-Ellenberg-Farb about the configuration spaces of the affine line to those of a general smooth variety.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a generalization of the theory of Higgs bundles over a smooth complex projective curve in which the twisting of the Higgs field by the canonical bundle of the curve is replaced by a rank 2 vector bundle. We define a Hitchin map and give a spectral correspondence. We also state a Hitchin-Kobayashi correspondence for a generalization of the Hitchin equations to this situation. In a certain sense, this theory lies halfway between the theories of Higgs bundles on a curve and on a higher dimensional variety.

Abstract:Let $k$ be a perfect field of odd characteristic and $X$ a smooth algebraic variety over $k$ which is $W_2$-liftable. We show that the exponent twisiting of the classical Cartier descent gives an equivalence of categories between the category of nilpotent Higgs sheaves of exponent $\leq p-1$ over $X/k$ and the category of nilpotent flat sheaves of exponent $\leq p-1$ over $X/k$, and it is equivalent up to sign to the inverse Cartier and Cartier transforms for these nilpotent objects constructed in the nonabelian Hodge theory in positive characteristic by Ogus-Vologodsky. In view of the crucial role that Deligne-Illusie's lemma has ever played in their algebraic proof of $E_1$ degeneration and Kodaira vanishing theorem in abelian Hodge theory, it may not be overly surprising that again this lemma plays a significant role via the concept of Higgs-de Rham flow in establishing $p$-adic Simpson correspondence in nonabelian Hodge theory and Langer's algebraic proof of Bogomolov inequality for semistable Higgs bundles and Miyaoka-Yau inequality.

Abstract:We study the representation theory of the fundamental group of the complement of a Hopf link with n twists. A general framework is described to analyze the $SL_r(C)$-representation varieties of these twisted Hopf links as byproduct of a combinatorial problem and equivariant Hodge theory. As application, close formulas of their E-polynomials are provided for ranks 2 and 3, both for the representation and character varieties.

Abstract:Let (g,k) be a complex quaternionic symmetric pair with k having an ideal sl(2,C) , k=sl(2,C)+mc . Consider the representation Sm(C2)=Cm+1 of k via the projection k→sl(2,C) onto the ideal sl(2,C) . We study the finite dimensional irreducible representations V(λ) of g which contain Sm(C2) under k⊆g . We give a characterization of all such representations V(λ) and find the corresponding multiplicity m(λ,m)=dimHom(V(λ)|k,Sm(C2)). We consider also the branching problem of V(λ) under l=u(1)C+mc⊂k and find the multiplicities. Geometrically the Lie subalgebra l⊂k defines a twistor space over the compact symmetric space of the compact real form Gu of GC , Lie(GC)=g , and our results give the decomposition for the L2 -spaces of sections of certain vector bundles over the symmetric space and line bundles over the twistor space. This generalizes Cartan–Helgason's theorem for symmetric spaces (g,k) and Schlichtkrull's theorem for Hermitian symmetric spaces where one-dimensional representations of k are considered.

Abstract:We study the twisted (co)homology of a family of genus-one integrals -- the so called Riemann-Wirtinger integrals. These integrals are closely related to one-loop string amplitudes in chiral splitting where one leaves the loop-momentum, modulus and all but one puncture un-integrated. While not actual one-loop string integrals, they share many properties and are simple enough that the associated twisted (co)homologies have been completely characterized [Goto2022,<a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2206.03177" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2206.03177">arXiv:2206.03177</a>]. Using intersection numbers -- an inner product on the vector space of allowed differential forms -- we derive the Gauss-Manin connection for two bases of the twisted cohomology providing an independent check of [Mano&Watanabe2012]. We also use the intersection index -- an inner product on the vector space of allowed contours -- to derive a double-copy formula for the closed-string analogues of Riemann-Wirtinger integrals (one-dimensional integrals over the torus). Similar to the celebrated KLT formula between open- and closed-string tree-level amplitudes, these intersection indices form a genus-one KLT-like kernel defining bilinears in meromorphic Riemann-Wirtinger integrals that are equal to their complex counterparts.

Abstract:We study the twisted elliptic genera of 2d (0 , 4) SCFTs associated with the BPS strings in the twisted circle compactification of 6d rank-one (1 , 0) SCFTs. Such objects can arise when the 6d gauge algebra allows outer automorphism, thus are classified by twisted affine Lie algebras. We study several fascinating aspects of the twisted elliptic genera including 2d localization, twisted elliptic blowup equations, Higgsing and spectral flow symmetry. We derive a recursion formula with respect to the number of strings to exactly compute the twisted elliptic genera. We also investigate the modular bootstrap of twisted one-string elliptic genera and find the modularity of congruence subgroups Γ 1 ( N ) naturally appears with possible N = 2 , 3 , 4. Geometrically, our study solves the refined BPS partition functions of the underlying genus-one fibered Calabi-Yau threefolds with N -section.

Abstract:In this paper, following the constructions of N. R. O'Brian, J. H. Rawnsley and I. Vaisman, we define four almost Hermitian structures (up to conjugation) on the twistor space of a Hermitian surface by using canonical connections, including the Lichnerowicz connection and the Chern connection. We also study the relations between the natural geometry of the twistor spaces and the geometry of Hermitian surfaces.
