Altuğ employs this formula to manipulate the regular elliptic part of the trace formula, with the aim of eliminating the contribution of the trivial representation from the spectral side.

Abstract:Langlands provides a formula for certain product of orbital integrals in $GL(2, \mathbb{Q})$. Its generalization has become an important question for the strategy of Beyond Endoscopy. Arthur predicts this formula should coincide with a product of polynomials associated to zeta functions of orders constructed by Zhiwei Yun. In this paper we compute, for a certain family of orders, explicit formulas for these zeta functions by a recursive method. We use these zeta functions in a further paper to prove that Arthur's prediction is correct.

On A Generalization of Motohashi's Formula

Abstract:We give an adelic version of a spectral reciprocity formula relating $\mathrm{GL}_3 \times \mathrm{GL}_2$ with $\mathrm{GL}_3 \times \mathrm{GL}_1$ and $\mathrm{GL}_1$ moments of $L$-functions discovered by Xiaoqing Li. For many types of the $\mathrm{GL}_3$ representation, we describe the local weight transforms via a decomposition of Voronoi's formula in terms of elementary transforms, which generalizes the one given by Miller--Schmid in a way consistent with the local Langlands correspondence. We obtain some integral representation of the Bessel functions for $\mathrm{GL}_2$ uniformly over all local fields. We announce the dual weight computation in a new case, which identifies the coset problem parallel to that in Petrow--Young's Weyl-type subconvexity for general Dirichlet $L$-functions. The proof and extensive study of other accessible cases will be given in a separate paper.

Abstract: Let F be a number field and $\widetilde{\mathrm{Sp}}(2n)$ be the metaplectic covering of Weil of $\mathrm{Sp}(2n, \mathbb{A}_F)$. We stabilize the elliptic semi-simple terms of the genuine part of trace formula for $\widetilde{\mathrm{Sp}}(2n)$, by using the transfer of test functions and the fundamental lemma established in a previous article. We obtain therefore an expression in terms of stable orbital integrals along certain $F$-elliptic classes in $\mathrm{SO}(2n'+1) \times \mathrm{SO}(2n''+1)$, which we call equisingular, for pairs $(n', n'')$ satisfying $n'+n''=n$. A simple formula for the coefficients is also obtained.

Abstract:We provide the explicit formula for orbital integrals associated with elliptic regular semisimple elements in $\mathrm{GL}_n(F) \cap \mathrm{M}_n(\mathfrak{o})$ and associated with arbitrary elements of the spherical Hecke algebra of $\mathrm{GL}_n(F)$ when $n=2, 3$, using results of [CKL]. Here $F$ is a non-Archimedean local field of any characteristic with $\mathfrak{o}$ its ring of integers.

Multiplicity formula for induced representations: Bessel and Fourier-Jacobi models over Archimedean local fields

Abstract:This article proves a formula relating the multiplicity of an induced representation and that of the inducing datum for the Bessel and the Fourier-Jacobi models over Archimedean local fields by generalizing the approach of C. Moeglin and J.-L. Waldspurger in [MW12], which was successful for Bessel models of special orthogonal groups over non-Archimedean local fields. As an application, we give a uniform proof of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture for all classical groups over Archimedean local fields for generic local $L$-parameters based on the tempered basic cases.

Abstract:Using combinations of weight-1 and weight-2 of Kronecker-Eisenstein series to construct currents in the distributional de Rham complex of a squared elliptic curve, we find a simple explicit formula for the type II $(\text{GL}_2, \text{GL}_2)$ theta lift without smoothing, analogous to the classical formula of Siegel for periods of Eisenstein series. For $K$ a CM field, the same technique applies without change to obtain an analogous formula for the $(\text{GL}_2(K),K^\times)$ theta correspondence.

Abstract:We study how Rankin-Selberg periods interact with integral structures in spherical Whittaker type representations. Using this representation-theoretic framework, we show that the local Euler factors appearing in the construction of the motivic Rankin-Selberg Euler system for a product of modular forms are integrally optimal; i.e. any construction of this type with any choice of integral input data would give local factors appearing in tame norm relations at $p$ which are integrally divisible by the Euler factor $\mathcal{P}_p^{'}(\mathrm{Frob}_p^{-1})$ modulo $p-1$.

Double orthodontia formulas and Lascoux positivity

Abstract:We give a new formula for double Grothendieck polynomials based on Magyar's orthodontia algorithm for diagrams. Our formula implies a similar formula for double Schubert polynomials $\mathfrak S_w(\mathbf x;\mathbf y)$. We also prove a curious positivity result: for vexillary permutations $w\in S_n$, the polynomial $x_1^n\dots x_n^n \mathfrak S_w(x_n^{-1}, \dots, x_1^{-1}; 1,\dots,1)$ is a graded nonnegative sum of Lascoux polynomials. We conjecture that this positivity result holds for all $w\in S_n$. This conjecture would follow from a problem of independent interest regarding Lascoux positivity of certain products of Lascoux polynomials.

Abstract:We outline an approach to proving functoriality of automorphic representations using trace formula. More specifically, we construct a family of integral operators on the space of automorphic forms whose eigenvalues are expressed in terms of the L-functions of automorphic representations and begin the analysis of their traces using the orbital side of the stable trace formula. We show that the most interesting part, corresponding to regular conjugacy classes, is nothing but a sum over a finite-dimensional vector space over the global field, which we call the Steinberg-Hitchin base. Therefore it may be analyzed using the Poisson summation formula. Our main result is that the leading term of the dual sum (the value at 0) is precisely the dominant term of the trace formula (the contribution of the trivial representation). This gives us hope that the full Poisson summation formula would reveal the patterns predicted by functoriality.

Abstract:In the geometric Langlands program over function fields, Braverman-Gaitsgory and Laumon constructed geometric Eisenstein functors which geometrize the classical construction of Eisenstein series. Fargues and Scholze very recently constructed a general candidate for the local Langlands correspondence, via a geometric Langlands correspondence occurring over the Fargues-Fontaine curve. We carry some of the theory of geometric Eisenstein series over to the Fargues-Fontaine setting. Namely, given a quasi-split connected reductive group $G/\mathbb{Q}_{p}$ with simply connected derived group and maximal torus $T$, we construct an Eisenstein functor $\mathrm{nEis}(-)$, which takes sheaves on $Bun_{T}$ to sheaves on $Bun_{G}$. We show that, given a sufficiently nice $L$-parameter $\phi_{T}: W_{\mathbb{Q}_{p}} \rightarrow \phantom{}^{L}T$, there is a Hecke eigensheaf on $Bun_{G}$ with eigenvalue $\phi$, given by applying $\mathrm{nEis}(-)$ to the Hecke eigensheaf $\mathcal{S}_{\phi_{T}}$ on $Bun_{T}$ attached to $\phi_{T}$ by Fargues and Zou. We show that $\mathrm{nEis}(\mathcal{S}_{\phi_{T}})$ interacts well with Verdier duality, and, assuming compatibility of the Fargues-Scholze correspondence with a suitably nice form of the local Langlands correspondence, provide an explicit formula for the stalks of the eigensheaf in terms of parabolic inductions of the character $\chi$ attached to $\phi_{T}$. This has several surprising consequences. First, it recovers special cases of an averaging formula of Shin for the cohomology of local Shimura varieties with rational coefficients, and generalizes it to the non-minuscule case. Second, it refines the averaging formula in the cases where the parameter $\phi$ is sufficiently nice, giving an explicit formula for the degrees of cohomology that certain parabolic inductions sit in, and this refined formula holds even with torsion coefficients.

Abstract:For an arbitrary positive integer $p$, Landen's formula is extended to express theta function with modulus $p\tau$ by $p$ product of theta functions with $\tau$, which is applied to several examples. Next it is shown that double product of theta functions of genus $g=1$ is written by a sum of $g=2$ theta functions, which is a subset having a special period matrix of $\tau_{11}=\tau_{22}$. Several applied examples are shown, which include the cubic identity of Borwein and Borwein.

Abstract:This paper gives a tableau formula for expanding the product of a Lascoux polynomial and a stable Grothendieck polynomial into Lascoux polynomials. Lascoux and stable Grothendieck polynomials are inhomogeneous analogues of key polynomials and Stanley symmetric functions, respectively. Our formula refines the K-theoretic Littlewood-Richardson rule of Buch and extends the key expansion of key times Schur established by Haglund, Luoto, Mason, and van Willigenburg. Our proof is combinatorial, relying heavily on a novel row insertion algorithm of Huang, Shimozono and Yu.

Abstract:In the early 2000's, R. Langlands proposed a strategy called Beyond Endoscopy to attack the principle of functoriality, which is one of the central questions of present day mathematics. A first step was achieved by A. Altug who worked with the group $GL(2,\mathbb{Q})$ in a series of three papers. We generalize the first part of this result to a class of totally real number fields. In particular, we cancel the contribution of the trivial and special representations to the trace formula using an additive Poisson summation on the regular elliptic terms.

Waldspurger formulas in higher cohomology

Abstract:The classical Waldspurger formula, which computes periods of quaternionic automorphic forms in maximal torus, has been used in a wide variety of arithmetic applications, such as the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture in rank 0 situations. This is why this formula is considered the rank 0 analogue of the celebrated Gross-Zagier formula. On the other hand, Eichler-Shimura correspondence allows us to interpret this quaternionic automorphic form as a cocycle in higher cohomology spaces of certain arithmetic groups. In this way we can realize the corresponding automorphic representation in the etale cohomology of certain Shimura varieties. In this work we find a formula, analogous to that of Waldspurger, which relates cap-products of this cocycle and fundamental classes associated with maximal torus with special values of Rankin-Selberg L-functions.

Abstract:In this paper, which is a continuation of earlier work by the first author and Gunnar Carlsson, one of the first results we establish is the additivity of the motivic Becker-Gottlieb transfer, as well as their étale realizations. This extends the additivity results the authors already established for the corresponding traces. We then apply this to derive several important consequences: for example, in addition to obtaining the analogues of various double coset formulae known in the classical setting of algebraic topology, we also obtain applications to Brauer groups of homogeneous spaces associated to reductive groups over separably closed fields. We also consider the relationship between the transfer on schemes provided with a compatible action by a $1$-parameter subgroup and the transfer associated to the fixed point scheme of the $1$-parameter subgroup.

Abstract:Given a discrete lattice, $\Gamma < \text{SL}_m(\mathbb{R})$, and a base point $o\in \mathbb{R}^m$, let $N_\Gamma(T)$ denote the number of points in the orbit $o\cdot \Gamma$ whose (Euclidean) length is bounded by a growing parameter, $T$. We demonstrate an abstract spectral method capable of obtaining strong asymptotic estimates for $N_\Gamma(T)$ without relying on the meromorphic continuation of higher rank Langlands Eisenstein series.

Since the truncated $q$-characters of some real simple modules over a quantum affine group $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{g}})$ can be expressed in terms of such $F$-polynomials, one can describe the product of two simple modules over $U_q(\widehat{\mathfrak{g}})$ using this multiplication formula.
