Abstract:We show the existence of a strictly convex function $u: B_1 \to \mathbb{R}$ with associated Monge-Ampère measure represented by a function $f$ with $0 < f < 1$ a.e. whose Hessian has a singular part. This extends the work [13] and answers an open question of [14,Sec. 6.2(1)].

Abstract:In this paper, we study the regularity of convex solutions to the Dirichlet problem of the homogeneous Monge-Ampere equation det D(2)u = 0. We prove that if the domain is a strip region and the boundary functions are locally uniformly convex and C-k+2,C-alpha smooth, then the solution is C-k+2,C-alpha smooth up to boundary. By an example, we show the solution may fail to be C-2 smooth if boundary functions are not locally uniformly convex. Similar results have also been obtained for the Dirichlet problem on bounded convex domains.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the Dirichlet problem for a singular Monge-Ampère type equation on unbounded domains. For a few special kinds of unbounded convex domains, we find the explicit formulas of the solutions to the problem. For general unbounded convex domain Ω, we prove the existence for solutions to the problem in the space C∞(Ω) ∩ C(Ω̅). We also obtain the local C1/2-estimate up to the ∂Ω and the estimate for the lower bound of the solutions.

Abstract:In this paper we shall prove the existence, uniqueness and global H$\ddot{o}$lder continuity for the Dirichlet problem of a class of Monge-Ampère type equations which may be degenerate and singular on the boundary of convex domains. Abstract:We prove the existence of infinitely many entire convex solutions to the Monge-Amp\`ere equation ${\rm det} D^2 u=f$ in ${\Bbb R}^n$, assuming that the inhomogeneous term $f\ge 0$ and is of polynomial growth at infinity. When $f$ satisfies the doubling condition, we show that solution is of polynomial growth. As an application, we resolve the existence of translating solutions to a class of Gauss curvature flow.

Abstract:SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, Volume 56, Issue 1, Page 234-253, February 2024. In this paper, we are interested in the following degenerate elliptic Monge–Ampère equation:[math] Under suitable structure conditions on [math], we can show that [math] and the solutions of linearized equation have the same symmetric property as the domain. Moreover, we also achieve some uniqueness results for homogenous nonlinearity [math] ([math]) in general convex domain. Compared to the results in [G. Huang, Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations, 58 (2019), 73], we dispose the "uniformly convex" condition imposed on the domain. With a subtle approximation procedure and variant form of Hopf's lemma, we overcome the technical difficulties caused by the degeneracy of the above equation. What's more, we can also get the uniqueness property for domains whose geometry is close enough to the symmetric convex domain.

Sections 1.1 and 1.2 follow [2] and [3] respectively, while Sections 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 are based on [5], [4] and [1] respectively. This note is written for lectures in the Special Lecture Series in Peking University in the summer of 2007. A part of it was presented in the Summer School on Geometric Analysis in the University of Science and Technology of China, July 2006.

Equation (0.1) is related to proper affine hyperspheres. We will show the existence of solutions of (0.1) u∈C∞(Ω)∩C(Ω¯) via regularization method. Using the technique in [10], [12], we also obtain the optimal graph regularity of the solution of (0.1).

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the strong maximum principle for generalized solutions of Monge-Ampère type equations. We prove that the strong maximum principle holds at points where the function is strictly convex but not necessarily $C^{1,1}$ smooth, and show that it fails at non-strictly convex points. The results we obtain can be applied to various Minkowski type problems in convex geometry by the virtue of the Gauss image map.

Abstract:In this paper we study the optimal global regularity for a singular Monge–Ampère type equation which arises from a few geometric problems. We find that the global regularity does not depend on the smoothness of domain, but it does depend on the convexity of the domain. We introduce (a,η) type to describe the convexity. As a result, we show that the more convex is the domain, the better is the regularity of the solution. In particular, the regularity is the best near angular points.

In this paper, the uniqueness of least energy solution of (0.1) is investigated. For $$n=2$$ , we prove the least energy solution of (0.1) is unique for $$2<q<\infty $$ provided it is locally uniformly convex. In particular, for $$q=+\infty $$ , we show the uniqueness of the least energy solution of (0.1) and find its relation to Santalò point.

In this paper, we study the case when u t is unbounded, prove an existence result of entire parabolically convex smooth solution and investigate the asymptotic behavior near infinity.

Abstract:Let $P$ be a convex body containing the origin in its interior. We study a real Monge-Ampère equation with singularities along $\del P$ which is Legendre dual to a certain free boundary Monge-Ampère equation. This is motivated by the existence problem for complete Calabi-Yau metrics on log Calabi-Yau pairs $(X, D)$ with $D$ an ample, simple normal crossings divisor. We prove the existence of solutions in $C^{\infty}(P)\cap C^{1,\alpha}(\overline{P})$, and establish the strict convexity of the free boundary. When $P$ is a polytope, we obtain an asymptotic expansion for the solution near the interior of the codimension $1$ faces of $\del P$.
