Abstract:In this paper, we introduce $m$-subharmonic functions in quaternionic space $\mathbb{H}^{n}$, we define the quaternionic Hessian operator and solve the homogeneous Dirichlet problem for the quaternionic Hessian equation on the unit ball with continuous boundary data.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce finite energy classes of quaternionic $m$-plurisubharmonic functions of Cegrell type and define the quaternionic $m$-Hessian operator on some Cegrell's classes. We use the variational approach to solve the quaternionic $m$-Hessian equation when the right-hand side is a positive Radon measure.

Abstract:Many aspects of pluripotential theory are generalized to quaternionic m-subharmonic functions. We introduce quaternionic version of notions of the m-Hessian operator, m-subharmonic functions, m-Hessian measure, m-capacity, the relative m-extremal function, and the m-Lelong number, and show various propositions for them, based on d_0 , d_1 operators, as quaternionic counterpart of ∂ , ∂ , and quaternionic closed positive currents. The comparison principle and the quasicontinuity of quaternionic m-subharmonic functions are established. The definition of quaternionic m-Hessian operator can be extended to locally bounded quaternionic m-subharmonic functions and the corresponding convergence theorem is proved. We also find the fundamental solution of the quaternionic m-Hessian operator.

Abstract:A quaternionic partial differential equation is shown to be a generalisation of the Riccati ordinary differential equation and its relationship with the Schrodinger equation is established. Various approaches to the problem of finding particular solutions are explored, and the generalisations of two theorems of Euler on the Riccati differential equation, which correspond to the quaternionic equation, are given.

Abstract:We prove the existence of a unique smooth solution to the quaternionic Monge–Ampère equation for -quaternionic plurisubharmonic (psh) functions on a compact hyperKähler manifold and thus obtain solutions to the quaternionic form-type equation. We derive the estimate by establishing a Cherrier-type inequality as in Tosatti and Weinkove (J Am Math Soc 30(2):311–346, 2017). By adopting the approach of Dinew and Sroka (Geom Funct Anal 33(4):875–911, 2023) to our context, we obtain the and estimates without assuming the flatness of underlying hyperKähler metric comparing to the previous result Gentili and Zhang (J Geom Anal 32:9, 2022).

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the Neumann problem for parabolic Hessian quotient equations. We show that the $k$-admissible solution of the parabolic Hessian quotient equation exists for all time and converges to the smooth solution of elliptic Hessian quotient equations. Also the solutions of the classical Neumann problem converge to a translating solution.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of the S-eigenvalue of finite type of a bounded right quaternionic linear operator acting in a right quaternionic Hilbert space. The study is based on the different properties of the Riesz projection associated with the connected part of the S-spectrum. Furthermore, we introduce the left and right Browder S-resolvent operators. Inspired by the S-resolvent equation, we give the Browder's S-resolvent equation in quaternionic setting.

On the notion of a quaternionic holomorphic function

Abstract:A physically more adequate definition of a quaternionic holomorphic (H-holomorphic) function of one quaternionic variable compared to known ones and a quaternionic generalization of Cauchy-Riemann's equations are presented. At that a class of introduced H-holomorphic functions consists of those quaternionic functions whose left and right derivatives become equal after the transition to 3D space. The presented theory demonstrates a complete similarity of the algebraic properties and differentiation rules between the classes of H-holomorphic and ordinary complex holomorphic functions, including the fact that quaternionic multiplication of the H-holomorphic functions behaves as commutative and the fact that each H-holomorphic function can be created from its complex holomorphic analogue by replacing a complex variable by a quaternion one. A fairly large number of detailed examples are given to illustrate the presented theory efficiency.

Abstract:We consider a general class of elliptic equations on hypercomplex manifolds which includes the quaternionic Monge-Ampère equation, the quaternionic Hessian equation and the Monge-Ampère equation for quaternionic $(n-1)$-plurisubharmonic functions. We prove that under suitable assumptions the solutions to these equations on hyperkähler manifolds satisfy a $C^{2,\alpha}$ a priori estimate.

Abstract:We present two novel solutions of real Hilbert state quaternionic quantum mechanics ($\mathbb H$QM). Firstly, we observe that the angular momentum operator admits two different classes of physically non-equivalent free particles. As a second result, we study the Larmor precession to observe that it has a quaternionic solution where a novel phenomenological interpretation is possible, as well as a different of spin is possible, and these results may encourage experimental and theoretical investigations of the quaternionic theory.

Abstract:This paper considers the Hermitian solutions of a new system of commutative quaternion matrix equations, where we establish both necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions. Furthermore, we derive an explicit general expression when it is solvable. In addition, we also provide the least squares Hermitian solution in cases where the system of matrix equations is not consistent. To illustrate our main findings, in this paper we present two numerical algorithms and examples.

Abstract:Inspired by the study of complex nonsymmetric algebraic Riccati equations, we investigate nonsymmetric algebraic Riccati equations for quaternionic matrices. We introduce the comparison matrix of a quaternionic matrix, extending that of a complex matrix, and use it to give a condition for the existence and uniqueness of the extremal solution. Abstract:Let $1 \leq m \leq n$ be two integers and $\Omega \Subset \C^n$ a bounded $m$-hyperconvex domain in $\C^n$. Using a variational approach, we prove the existence of the first eigenvalue and an associated eigenfunction which is $m$-subharmonic with finite energy for general twisted complex Hessian operators of order $m$. Under some extra assumption on the twist measure we prove Hölder continuity of the corresponding eigenfunction. Moreover we give applications to the solvability of more general degenerate complex Hessian equations with the right hand side depending on the unknown function.
