Abstract:In this work we introduce the concept of bornology on the theory of Frölicher spaces. A canonical bornology, called the functional bornology, is induced from structure functions, and bounded maps under this bornology are determined. Based on the structure of structure curves, we deduce that we cannot induce, canonically, a bornology from structure curves. For each of Frölicher subspace and product, an initial and functional bornology are induced and compared. Similarly, for each of Frölicher quotient and coproduct, a final and functional bornology are induced and compared.

Abstract:Distributional tensor fields can be regarded as multilinear mappings on smooth tensor fields with distributional values or as (classical) tensor fields with distributional coefficients. We show that the corresponding isomorphisms hold also in the bornological setting.

Abstract:The goal of this papers is to extending to the complex analytic framework the relative Kleiman duality for quasi coherent sheaves. Precisely, he show that for any flat,locally projectivea and finitely presented morphism of schemes $\pi:X\rightarrow S$ whose fibers are of pure dimension $n$, the functor ${\rm I}\!{\rm R}^{n}\pi_{*}:{\rm Q}coh(X) \rightarrow {\rm Q}coh(S)$ admits a right adjoint covariant functor (noted $\pi^{!}_{\mathcal K}$) inducing, for any quasi-coherent sheaves ${\mathcal F}$ and ${\mathcal G}$ on $X$ and $S$ respectively, a relative duality isomorphism ${\rm I}\!{\rm H}om(X; {\mathcal F},\pi^{!}_{\mathcal K}({\mathcal G}))\simeq {\rm I}\!{\rm H}om(S; {\rm I}\!{\rm R}^{n}\pi_{*}{\mathcal F}, {\mathcal G})$ bifunctorial in ${\mathcal F}$, ${\mathcal G}$ satisfying many nice functorial properties. Furthermore, he shows that full duality is achieved if and only if $\pi$ is Cohen Macaulay morphism. We show in the first part which concerns proper morphism of complex spaces with constant fibers dimension that we have a similar duality in this context with the same conclusion for the full duality. In the secod part, the morphism are not necessarly proper but equidimensional or open with constant fibers dimension. The situation is much more complicated because we must use a specific analytic geometry tools. Infinite dimensional cohomology groups considered as locally convex vectorial topological spaces are generally not Hausdorff, the higher direct image with propre support ${\rm I}\!{\rm R}^{n}\pi_{!}$ are generally never coherent. Despite all this problems, we are able to give a semi-relative duality theorem as mentioned above and in a certain sense.

Born geometry via Künneth structures and recursion operators

Abstract:We propose a simple definition of a Born geometry in the framework of Künneth geometry. While superficially different, this new definition is equivalent to the known definitions in terms of para-quaternionic or generalized geometries. We discuss integrability of Born structures and their associated connections. In particular we find that for integrable Born geometries the Born connection is obtained by a simple averaging under a conjugation from the Künneth connection. We also give examples of integrable Born geometries on nilmanifolds.

Verdier duality on conically smooth stratified spaces

Abstract:In this paper we prove a duality for constructible sheaves on conically smooth stratified spaces. Here we consider sheaves with values in a stable and bicomplete $\infty$-category equipped with a closed symmetric monoidal structure, and in this setting constructible means locally constant along strata and with dualizable stalks. The crucial point where we need to employ the geometry of conically smooth structures is in showing that Lurie's version of Verdier duality restricts to an equivalence between constructible sheaves and cosheaves: this requires a computation of the exit path $\infty$-category of a compact stratified space, that we obtain via resolution of singularities.

Abstract:We characterize the left-handed noncommutative frames that arise from sheaves on topological spaces. Further, we show that a general left-handed noncommutative frame $A$ arises from a sheaf on the dissolution locale associated to the commutative shadow of $A$. Both constructions are made precise in terms of dual equivalences of categories, similar to the duality result for strongly distributive skew lattices in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1206.5848" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1206.5848">arXiv:1206.5848</a>.

Abstract:Various monoidal categories, including suitable representation categories of vertex operator algebras, admit natural Grothendieck-Verdier duality structures. We recall that such a Grothendieck-Verdier category comes with two tensor products which should be related by distributors obeying pentagon identities. We discuss in which circumstances these distributors are isomorphisms. This is achieved by taking the perspective of module categories over monoidal categories, using in particular the natural weak module functor structure of internal Homs and internal coHoms. As an illustration, we exhibit these concepts concretely in the case of categories of bimodules over associative algebras.

Abstract:We investigate doubled (generalized) complex structures in $2D$-dimensional Born geometries where T-duality symmetry is manifestly realized. We show that Kähler, hyperkähler, bi-hermitian and bi-hypercomplex structures of spacetime are implemented in Born geometries as doubled structures. We find that the Born structures and the generalized Kähler (hyperkähler) structures appear as subalgebras of bi-quaternions and split-tetra-quaternions. We find parts of these structures are classified by Clifford algebras. We then study the T-duality nature of the worldsheet instantons in Born sigma models. We show that the instantons in Kähler geometries are related to those in bi-hermitian geometries in a non-trivial way.

Abstract:We show that every Born Lie algebra can be obtained by the bicross product construction starting from two pseudo-Riemannian Lie algebras. We then obtain a classification of all Lie algebras up to dimension four and all six-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras admitting an integrable Born structure. Finally, we study the curvature properties of the pseudo-Riemannian metrics of the integrable Born structures obtained in our classification results.

Abstract:We introduce a notion of semi-legendrian real submanifold in a complex manifold of dimension 3 and prove that real submanifolds of $\mathbb{C}^2$ can be uniquely lifted to $\mathbb{C}^3$. Then we deduce a complex duality between real submanifolds of $\mathbb{P}^2(\mathbb{C})$.

Abstract:We study the dualizability of sheaves on manifolds with isotropic singular supports $\operatorname{Sh}_\Lambda(M)$ and microsheaves with isotropic supports $\operatorname{\mu sh}_\Lambda(\Lambda)$ and obtain a classification result of colimit-preserving functors by convolutions of sheaf kernels. Moreover, for sheaves with isotropic singular supports and compact supports $\operatorname{Sh}_\Lambda^b(M)_0$, the standard categorical duality and Verdier duality are related by the wrap-once functor, which is the inverse Serre functor in proper objects, and we thus show that the Verdier duality extends naturally to all compact objects $\operatorname{Sh}_\Lambda^c(M)_0$ when the wrap-once functor is an equivalence, for instance, when $\Lambda$ is a full Legendrian stop or a swappable Legendrian stop.

Abstract:We are concerned with relating derived categories of all modules of two dual Koszul algebras defined by a locally bounded quiver. We first generalize the well known Acyclic Assembly Lemma and formalize an old method of extending a functor from an additive category into a complex category to its complex category. Applying this to the Koszul functor associated with a Koszul algebra defined by a gradable quiver, we obtain a Koszul complex functor, that descends to an equivalence of a continuous family of pairs of triangulated subcategories of doubly unbounded complexes of the respective derived categories of all modules of the Koszul algebra and its Koszul dual. Under this special setting, this extends Beilinson, Ginzburg and Soegel's Koszul duality. In case the Koszul algebra is right or left locally bounded and its Koszul dual is left or right locally bounded respectively (for instance, the quiver has no right infinite path or no left infinite path), our Koszul duality restricts to an equivalence of the bounded derived categories of finitely supported modules, and an equivalence of the bounded derived categories of finite dimensional modules.

Abstract:We prove a structure theorem for 3-manifolds with non-trivial JSJ-decomposition and 2-generated fundamental group. We deduce a variety of Corollaries. Note this is not a complete classification of such manifolds. In particular we believe that one of the families in our list is empty. Abstract:We prove a conjecture of Bhatt-Hansen that derived pushforwards along proper morphisms of rigid-analytic spaces commute with Verdier duality on Zariski-constructible complexes. In particular, this yields duality statements for the intersection cohomology of proper rigid-analytic spaces. In our argument, we construct cycle classes in analytic geometry as well as trace maps for morphisms that are either smooth or proper or finite flat, with appropriate coefficients. As an application of our methods, we obtain new, significantly simplified proofs of $p$-adic Poincaré duality and the preservation of $\mathbf{F}_p$-local systems under smooth proper higher direct images.

Abstract:In this paper we treat Grothendieck Duality for noetherian rings via rigid dualizing complexes. In particular, we prove that every ring, essentially finite type over a regular base ring, has a unique rigid dualizing complex. The rigid dualizing complexes have strong functorial properties, allowing us to construct the twisted induction pseudofunctor, which is our ring-theoretic version of the twisted inverse pseudofunctor $f^{!}$. This is the first article of a bigger project, whose final goal is establishing Grothendieck Duality, including global duality for proper maps, for Deligne-Mumford stacks.

Abstract:Given a smooth proper morphism $f\colon X\rightarrow S$, we introduce a certain derived category where morphisms are permitted to be $\mathcal{O}_S$-linear differential operators. We then prove a generalisation of Serre duality that applies to two-term complexes of this type. We apply this to give a new proof of Poincaré duality for relative algebraic de Rham cohomology.

Abstract:We examine a sequence of examples of pairs of moduli spaces of sheaves on $\mathbb P^2$ where Le Potier's strange duality is expected to hold. One of the moduli spaces in these pairs is the Hilbert scheme of two points. We compute the sections of the relevant theta bundle as a representation of $SL(X)$, where $\mathbb P^2=\mathbb P(X)$. For the higher rank space, we construct a moduli space using the resolution of exceptional bundles from Coskun, Huizenga, and Woolf. We compute a subspace of the sections of the theta bundle which is dual to the sections on the Hilbert scheme. In the second part, we use a result from Goller and Lin to rigorously apply the "finte Quot scheme method", introduced in Marian and Oprea, and Bertram, Goller, and Johnson. This requires us to prove that the kernels in appearing in the Quot scheme have the appropriate resolution by exceptional bundles.
