Abstract:We construct a minimal Lefschetz decomposition of the bounded derived category of the odd isotropic Grassmannian $\mathsf{IGr}(3,9)$. The exceptional objects are $\mathsf{Sp}_9$-equivariant vector bundles. This provides further evidence of the Kuznetsov-Smirnov version of Dubrovin conjecture.

Abstract:We construct a full exceptional Lefschetz collection on the spinor 15-fold consisting of a connected component of the space of orthogonal 6-dimensional subspaces of a 12-dimensional complex vector space, isotropic with respect of a fixed non-degenerate quadratic form. The collection is made of 2 twists of a 4-item block and 8 twists of a 3-item block, confirming a conjecture of Kuznetsov and Smirnov. We speculate that a similar collection might work for the Freudenthal E7-variety.

Noncommutative resolution of $SU_C(2)$

Abstract:We study the derived category of the moduli space $SU_C(2)$ of rank $2$ vector bundles on a smooth projective curve $C$ of genus $g\ge 2$ with trivial determinant. This generalizes the recent work by Tevelev and Torres on the case with fixed odd determinant. Since $SU_C(2)$ is singular, we work with its resolution of singularities, specifically with the noncommutative resolution constructed by Pădurariu and Špenko-Van den Bergh (in the more general setting of symmetric stacks). We show that this noncommutative resolution admits a semiorthogonal decomposition into derived categories of symmetric powers $Sym^{2k}C$ for $2k\le g-1$. In the case of even genus, each block appears four times. This is also true in the case of odd genus, except that the top symmetric power $Sym^{g-1}C$ appears twice. In the case of even genus, the noncommutative resolution is strongly crepant in the sense of Kuznetsov and categorifies the intersection cohomology of $SU_C(2)$. Since all of its components are ``geometric,'' our semiorthogonal decomposition provides evidence for the expectation, which dates back to the work of Newstead and Tyurin, that $SU_C(2)$ is a rational variety.

Derived Categories of Derived Grassmannians

Abstract:This paper establishes semiorthogonal decompositions for derived Grassmannians of perfect complexes with Tor-amplitude in $[0,1]$. This result verifies the author's Quot formula conjecture [J21a] and generalizes and strengthens Toda's result in [Tod23]. We give applications of this result to various classical situations such as blowups of determinantal ideals, reducible schemes, and varieties of linear series on curves. Our approach utilizes the framework of derived algebraic geometry, allowing us to work over arbitrary base spaces over $\mathbb{Q}$. It also provides concrete descriptions of Fourier-Mukai kernels in terms of derived Schur functors.

Abstract:We study the local geometry of the moduli space of intermediate Jacobians of $(2,2)$-threefolds in ${\mathbb P}^2 \times {\mathbb P}^2$. More precisely, we prove that a composition of the second fundamental form of the Siegel metric in $\mathcal A_9$ restricted to this moduli space, with a natural multiplication map is a nonzero holomorphic section of a vector bundle. We also describe its kernel. We use the two conic bundle structures of these threefolds, Prym theory, gaussian maps and Jacobian ideals.

Three approaches to a categorical Torelli theorem for cubic threefolds of non-Eckardt type via the equivariant Kuznetsov components

Abstract:Let $Y$ be a cubic threefold with a non-Eckardt type involution $\tau$. Our first main result is that the $\tau$-equivariant category of the Kuznetsov component $\mathcal{K}u_{\mathbb{Z}_2}(Y)$ determines the isomorphism class of $Y$ for general $(Y,\tau)$. We shall prove this categorical Torelli theorem via three approaches: a noncommutative Hodge theoretical one (using a generalization of the intermediate Jacobian construction due to Alexander Perry), a Bridgeland moduli theoretical one (using equivariant stability conditions), and a Chow theoretical one (using some techniques in [kuznetsovnonclodedfield2021]).The remaining part of the paper is devoted to proving an equivariant infinitesimal categorical Torelli for non-Eckardt cubic threefolds $(Y,\tau)$. To accomplish it, we prove a compatibility theorem on the algebra structures of the Hochschild cohomology of the bounded derived category $D^b(X)$ of a smooth projective variety $X$ and on the Hochschild cohomology of a semi-orthogonal component of $D^b(X)$. Another key ingredient is a generalization of a result in [macri2009infinitesima] which shows that the twisted Hochschild-Kostant-Rosenberg isomorphism is compatible with the actions on the Hochschild cohomology and on the singular cohomology induced by an automorphism of $X$. In appendix, we prove an equivariant categorical Torelli theorem for arbitrary cubic threefold with a geometric involution under a natural assumption.

Abstract:Using the technique of categorical absorption of singularities we prove that the nontrivial components of the derived categories of del Pezzo threefolds of degree $d \in \{2,3,4,5\}$ and crepant categorical resolutions of the nontrivial components of the derived categories of nodal del Pezzo threefolds of degree $d = 1$ can be smoothly deformed to the nontrivial components of the derived categories of prime Fano threefolds of genus $g = 2d + 2 \in \{4,6,8,10,12\}$. This corrects and proves the Fano threefolds conjecture of the first author from [Kuz09], and opens a way to interesting geometric applications, including a relation between the intermediate Jacobians and Hilbert schemes of curves of the above threefolds. We also describe a compactification of the moduli stack of prime Fano threefolds endowed with an appropriate exceptional bundle and its boundary component that corresponds to degenerations associated with del Pezzo threefolds.

Abstract:A complex smooth prime Fano threefold $X$ of genus $9$ is related via projective duality to a quartic plane curve $\Gamma$. We use this setup to study the restriction of rank $2$ stable sheaves with prescribed Chern classes on $X$ to an anticanonical $K3$ surface $S\subset X$. Varying the threefold $X$ containing $S$ gives a rational Lagrangian fibration $$\mathcal{M}_S(2,1,7) \dashrightarrow \mathbb{P}^3$$ with generic fibre birational to the moduli space $\mathcal{M}_X(2,1,7)$ of sheaves on $X$. Moreover, we prove that this rational fibration extends to an actual fibration on a birational model $\mathcal{M}$ of $\mathcal{M}_S(2,1,7)$. In a last part, we use Bridgeland stability conditions to exhibit all $K$-trivial smooth birational models of $\mathcal{M}_S(2,1,7)$, which consist in itself and $\mathcal{M}$. We prove that these models are related by a flop, and we describe the positive, movable and nef cones of $\mathcal{M}_S(2,1,7)$.

Secondary staircase complexes on isotropic Grassmannians

Abstract:We introduce a class of equivariant vector bundles on isotropic symplectic Grassmannians $\mathrm{IGr}(k,2n)$ defined as appropriate truncations of staircase complexes and show that these bundles can be assembled into a number of complexes quasi-isomorphic to the symplectic wedge powers of the symplectic bundle on $\mathrm{IGr}(k,2n)$. We are planning to use these secondary staircase complexes to study fullness of exceptional collections in the derived categories of isotropic Grassmannians and Lefschetz exceptional collections on $\mathrm{IGr}(3,2n)$.

Abstract:We show that any continuous $\mathbf{C}$-linear Lie algebra splitting of the symbol map from the Atiyah algebra of a vector bundle on a complex manifold is given by a differential operator of order at most the rank of the bundle plus one. Bundles equipped with such a splitting can be thought of as \emph{infinitesimally equivariant} bundles, and our theorem implies these are, in a certain sense, in a categorical formal neighbourhood of vector bundles with a flat connection.

Abstract:Let N be the moduli space of stable rank 2 vector bundles on a smooth projective curve of genus g>1 with fixed odd determinant. With Sebastian Torres, we previously found a semi-orthogonal decomposition of the bounded derived category of N into bounded derived categories of symmetric powers of the curve and, possibly, a phantom block. In this work, we employ the theory of weaving patterns to eliminate the possibility of a phantom, completing the proof of the decomposition conjectured by Narasimhan and, independently, by Belmans, Galkin, and Mukhopadhyay.

Abstract:We show that the moduli space of $A$-line bundles with minimal second Chern class is a fine moduli space, where $A$ is a maximal quaternion order on $\mathbb{P}^{2}$ ramified along a smooth quartic. We prove that there is a fully faithful embedding from the derived category of this moduli space into the derived category of $A$-modules. Furthermore, we find a semiorthogonal decomposition for $D^{b}(\mathbb{P}^{2},A)$.

Abstract:We prove that the category of equivariant perverse sheaves on the affine Grassmannian of PGL(2, R) is highest weight and we construct the projective objects. Moreover we prove that the category of perverse sheaves on the odd component is equivalent to the principal block of Lusztig's quantum SL(2) at a primitive fourth root of unity.

Abstract:Abstract We show that a general ordinary Gushel–Mukai (GM) threefold can be reconstructed from its Kuznetsov component together with an extra piece of data coming from tautological subbundle of the Grassmannian . We also prove that determines the birational isomorphism class of , while determines the isomorphism class of a special GM threefold if it is general. As an application, we prove a conjecture of Kuznetsov–Perry in dimension 3 under a mild assumption. Finally, we use to restate a conjecture of Debarre–Iliev–Manivel regarding fibers of the period map for ordinary GM threefolds.

Abstract:We consider the derived category of an Artin-Mumford quartic double solid blown-up at ten ordinary double points. We show that it has a semi-orthogonal decomposition containing the derived category of the Enriques surface of a Reye congruence. This answers affirmatively a conjecture by Ingalls and Kuznetsov.

Abstract:Abstract We present a detailed study of elliptic fibrations on Fourier-Mukai partners of K3 surfaces, which we call derived elliptic structures. We fully classify derived elliptic structures in terms of Hodge-theoretic data, similar to the Derived Torelli Theorem that describes Fourier-Mukai partners. In Picard rank two, derived elliptic structures are fully determined by the Lagrangian subgroups of the discriminant group. As a consequence, we prove that for a large class of Picard rank 2 elliptic K3 surfaces all Fourier-Mukai partners are Jacobians, and we partially extend this result to non-closed fields. We also show that there exist elliptic K3 surfaces with Fourier-Mukai partners, which are not Jacobians of the original K3 surface. This gives a negative answer to a question raised by Hassett and Tschinkel.

Abstract:A concrete geometrisation scheme is proposed for the Green-Schwarz cocycles in the supersymmetric de Rham cohomology of the super-minkowskian spacetime, which determine standard super-$\sigma$-model dynamics of super-p-branes. The scheme yields higher-supergeometric structures with supersymmetry akin to those known from the un-graded setting - distinguished (Murray-type) p-gerbe objects in the category of Lie supergroups. These are shown to carry a canonical equivariant structure for the action of the discrete Kostelecký-Rabin subgroup of the target supersymmetry group on the target, and thus to resolve the `topology' of the corresponding Rabin-Crane soul superorbifold of the super-minkowskian spacetime. The equivariant structure is seen to effectively define a novel $\sigma$-model of super-p-brane dynamics in the super-orbifold through the construction of the corresponding (gauge-)symmetry defect.
