Abstract:Let X be a smooth toric variety defined by the fan {\Sigma} . We consider {\Sigma} as a finite set with topology and define a natural sheaf of graded algebras A_{\Sigma} on {\Sigma} . The category of modules over A_{\Sigma} is studied (together with other related categories). This leads to a certain combinatorial Koszul duality equivalence. We describe the equivariant category of coherent sheaves coh_{X,T} and a related (slightly bigger) equivariant category O_{X,T}-mod in terms of sheaves of modules over the sheaf of algebras A_{\Sigma} . Eventually (for a complete X ) the combinatorial Koszul duality is interpreted in terms of the Serre functor on D^b(coh_{X,T})

Abstract:This paper gives an explicit computation of the category of constructible sheaves on a toric variety (with respect to the stratification by torus orbits). Over the complex numbers, this simplifies a description due to Braden and Lunts. The same computation is carried out for split toric varieties over an arbitrary field, for constructible étale sheaves whose restriction to each stratum is locally constant and tamely ramified. This gives the first explicit computation of an étale exodromy theorem in positive characteristic for a stratification over a partially ordered set of height greater than 1.

Abstract:Given a smooth projective toric variety $X_\Sigma$ of complex dimension $n$, Fang-Liu-Treumann-Zaslow \cite{FLTZ} showed that there is a quasi-embedding of the differential graded (dg) derived category of coherent sheaves $Coh(X_\Sigma)$ into the dg derived category of constructible sheaves on a torus $Sh(T^n, \Lambda_\Sigma)$. Recently, Kuwagaki \cite{Ku2} proved that the quasi-embedding is a quasi-equivalence, and generalized the result to toric stacks. Here we give a different proof in the smooth projective case, using non-characteristic deformation of sheaves to find twisted polytope sheaves that co-represent the stalk functors.

Abstract:We extend our previous work [8] on coherent-constructible correspondence for toric varieties to toric Deligne-Mumford (DM) stacks. Following Borisov et al. [3], a toric DM stack XS is described by a " stacky fan" S =(N, S, ), where N is a finitely generated abelian group and S is a simplicial fan in NR = N. Z R. From S, we define a conical Lagrangian.S inside the cotangent T* MR of the dual vector space MR of NR, such that torus-equivariant, coherent sheaves on XS are equivalent to constructible sheaves on MR with singular support in.S. The microlocalization theorem of Nadler and the last author [18, 19] provides an algebro-geometrical description of the Fukaya category of a cotangent bundle T* MR in terms of constructible sheaves on the base MR. This allows us to interpret the main theorem stated earlier as an equivariant version of homological mirror symmetry for toric DM stacks.

Abstract:We prove a theorem relating torus-equivariant coherent sheaves on toric varieties to polyhedrally-constructible sheaves on a vector space. At the level of K-theory, the theorem recovers Morelli’s description of the K-theory of a smooth projective toric variety (Morelli in Adv. Math. 100(2):154–182, 1993). Specifically, let X be a proper toric variety of dimension n and let $M_{\mathbb{R}} = \mathrm{Lie}(T_{\mathbb{R}}^{\vee})\cong\mathbb {R}^{n}$ be the Lie algebra of the compact dual (real) torus $T_{\mathbb{R}}^{\vee}\cong U(1)^{n}$. Then there is a corresponding conical Lagrangian Λ⊂T ∗ M ℝ and an equivalence of triangulated dg categories $\mathcal{P}\mathrm{erf}_{T}(X) \cong\mathit{Sh}_{cc}(M_{\mathbb{R}};\Lambda)$, where $\mathcal{P}\mathrm{erf}_{T}(X)$ is the triangulated dg category of perfect complexes of torus-equivariant coherent sheaves on X and Sh cc (M ℝ;Λ) is the triangulated dg category of complex of sheaves on M ℝ with compactly supported, constructible cohomology whose singular support lies in Λ. This equivalence is monoidal—it intertwines the tensor product of coherent sheaves on X with the convolution product of constructible sheaves on M ℝ.
Coherent-Constructible Correspondence for Toric Fibrations

Abstract:Let $\Sigma$ be a fan inside the lattice $\mathbb{Z}^n$, and $\mathcal{E}:\mathbb{Z}^n \rightarrow \operatorname{Pic}{S}$ be a map of abelian groups. We introduce the notion of a principal toric fibration $\mathcal{X}_{\Sigma, \mathcal{E}}$ over the base scheme $S$, relativizing the usual toric construction for $\Sigma$. We show that the category of ind-coherent sheaves on such a fibration is equivalent to the global section of the Kashiwara-Schapira stack twisted by a certain local system of categories with stalk $\operatorname{Ind}\operatorname{Coh} S$. It is a simultaneous generalization of the work of Harder-Katzarkov [HK19] and of Kuwagaki [Kuw20], and should be seen as a family-version of the coherent-constructible correspondence [FLTZ11].

Abstract:Building on Olander's work on algebraic spaces, we prove Orlov's representability theorem relating fully faithful functors and Fourier--Mukai transforms between the bounded derived category of coherent sheaves to the case of smooth, proper, and tame algebraic stacks. This extends previous results of Kawamata for Deligne--Mumford stacks with generically trivial stabilizers and projective coarse moduli spaces.

Abstract:For an abelian tensor category a stack is constructed. As an application we show that our construction can be used to recover a quasi-compact separated scheme from the category of its quasi-coherent sheaves. In another application, we show how the "dual stack" of the classifying stack $BG$ of a finite group $G$ can be obtained by altering the tensor product on the category $\rep{G}$ of $G$-representations. Using glueing techniques we show that the dual pair of a $G$-gerbe, in the sense of [TT10], can be constructed by glueing local dual stacks.

Abstract:Let $X_\Sigma$ be a complete toric variety. The coherent-constructible correspondence $\kappa$ of \cite{FLTZ} equates $\Perf_T(X_\Sigma)$ with a subcategory $Sh_{cc}(M_\bR;\LS)$ of constructible sheaves on a vector space $M_\bR.$ The microlocalization equivalence $\mu$ of \cite{NZ,N} relates these sheaves to a subcategory $Fuk(T^*M_\bR;\LS)$ of the Fukaya category of the cotangent $T^*M_\bR$. When $X_\Si$ is nonsingular, taking the derived category yields an equivariant version of homological mirror symmetry, $DCoh_T(X_\Si)\cong DFuk(T^*M_\bR;\LS)$, which is an equivalence of triangulated tensor categories. The nonequivariant coherent-constructible correspondence $\bar{\kappa}$ of \cite{T} embeds $\Perf(X_\Si)$ into a subcategory $Sh_c(T_\bR^\vee;\bar{\Lambda}_\Si)$ of constructible sheaves on a compact torus $T_\bR^\vee$. When $X_\Si$ is nonsingular, the composition of $\bar{\kappa}$ and microlocalization yields a version of homological mirror symmetry, $DCoh(X_\Sigma)\hookrightarrow DFuk(T^*T_\bR;\bar{\Lambda}_\Si)$, which is a full embedding of triangulated tensor categories. When $X_\Si$ is nonsingular and projective, the composition $\tau=\mu\circ \kappa$ is compatible with T-duality, in the following sense. An equivariant ample line bundle $\cL$ has a hermitian metric invariant under the real torus, whose connection defines a family of flat line bundles over the real torus orbits. This data produces a T-dual Lagrangian brane $\mathbb L$ on the universal cover $T^*M_\bR$ of the dual real torus fibration. We prove $\mathbb L\cong \tau(\cL)$ in $Fuk(T^*M_\bR;\LS).$ Thus, equivariant homological mirror symmetry is determined by T-duality.
Derived Categories of Permutahedral and Stellahedral Varieties

Abstract:We utilize the coherent-constructible correspondence to construct full strongly exceptional collections of nef line bundles in the derived category of a toric variety through the combinatorics of constructible sheaves built from polytopes. To show that sequences are full, we build exact complexes of line bundles that categorify the relations in the McMullen polytope algebra. We compute the homomorphisms between certain constructible sheaves on polytopes and use this to reduce the question of exceptionality to showing that certain set differences of polytopes are contractible. As an application of our method, we construct full strongly exceptional collections of nef line bundles for the toric varieties associated to the permutahedron, stellahedron, and the type $B_n$ Coxeter permutahedron. The line bundles in our collections are indexed by base polytopes of loopless Schubert matroids, independence polytopes of all Schubert matroids, and feasible polytopes of loopless Schubert delta matroids, respectively. Our collections satisfy a number of nice properties: First, the quiver with relations that encodes the endomorphism algebra of the tilting sheaf can be described matroid-theoretically as a slight extension of the notion of weak maps and inclusion of matroids; Second, our collections are invariant under the natural symmetries of the corresponding fans; Finally, the induced semi-orthogonal decomposition of the derived categories refines the cuspidal semi-orthogonal decomposition as studied by Castravet and Tevelev. This gives a full strongly exceptional collection of nef line bundles for the cuspidal parts of the derived categories of our varieties indexed by loopless and coloopless Schubert matroids and Schubert delta matroids.

Abstract:Over a smooth projective toric variety we study toric sheaves, that is, reflexive sheaves equivariant with respect to the acting torus, from a polyhedral point of view. One application is the explicit construction of the torus invariant universal extension of two nef line bundles via polyhedral inclusion/exclusion sequences. Second, we link the cohomology of toric sheaves to the cohomology of certain constructible sheaves explicitly built out of the associated polyhedra. For the latter we define a concrete double complex and a spectral sequence which computes the cohomology of toric sheaves from the reduced cohomology of polyhedral subsets living in the realification of the character lattice of the toric variety.

Abstract:We construct a co- t t -structure on the derived category of coherent sheaves on the nilpotent cone N \mathcal {N} of a reductive group, as well as on the derived category of coherent sheaves on any parabolic Springer resolution. These structures are employed to show that the push-forwards of the “exotic parity objects” (considered by Achar, Hardesty, and Riche [Transform. Groups 24 (2019), pp. 597–657]), along the (classical) Springer resolution, give indecomposable objects inside the coheart of the co- t t -structure on N \mathcal {N} . We also demonstrate how the various parabolic co- t t -structures can be related by introducing an analogue to the usual translation functors. As an application, we give a proof of a scheme-theoretic formulation of the relative Humphreys conjecture on support varieties of tilting modules in type A A for p > h p>h .

Abstract:In this paper we study the integral Chow ring of toric Deligne-Mumford stacks. We prove that the integral Chow ring of a semi-projective toric Deligne-Mumford stack is isomorphic to the Stanley-Reisner ring of the associated stacky fan. The integral orbifold Chow ring is also computed. Our results are illustrated with several examples.

Abstract:We show that the category of ind-coherent sheaves on a quasi-smooth scheme is naturally tensored over the category of sheared D-modules on its shifted cotangent bundle, commuting with its natural action of categorified Hoschschild cochains. We prove that it defines a Morita equivalence as such. We then extend these results to quasi-smooth Artin stacks. As a consequence of our formalism, we are able to articulate a precise sense in which the space of unramified automorphic functions over a function field localizes over the stack of arithmetic Arthur parameters.

Abstract:For any finite abelian group G, the equivariant Gromov-Witten invariants of C^r/G can be viewed as a certain kind of abelian Hurwitz-Hodge integrals. In this note, we use Tseng's orbifold quantum Riemann-Roch theorem to express this kind of abelian Hurwitz-Hodge integrals as a sum over Feynman graphs, where the weight of each graph is expressed in terms of descendant integrals over moduli spaces of stable curves and representations of G. This expression will play a crucial role in the proof of the remodeling conjecture (arXiv:0709.1453, arXiv:0807.0597) for affine toric Calabi-Yau 3-orbifolds in arXiv:1310.4818.

Abstract:We construct the semi-infinite tensor structure on the semiderived category of quasi-coherent torsion sheaves on an ind-scheme endowed with a flat affine morphism into an ind-Noetherian ind-scheme with a dualizing complex. The semitensor product is "a mixture of" the cotensor product along the base and the derived tensor product along the fibers. The inverse image of the dualizing complex is the unit object. This construction is a partial realization of the Semi-infinite Algebraic Geometry program, as outlined in the introduction to <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1504.00700" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1504.00700">arXiv:1504.00700</a>.

Broken Toric Varieties and Cell-Compatible Sheaves

Abstract:We study the cohomology of broken toric varieties via the derived push-forward of the constant sheaf to a complex of polytopes, proving a Deligne-type decomposition theorem, degeneration of the associated Leray-Serre spectral sequence, and showing that the Leray filtration on their cohomology is equal to twice the weight filtration. Furthermore, we give an explicit formula for the Betti numbers of some broken toric varieties whose associated complex of polytopes is the $n$-skeleton of a higher dimensional polytope, encompassing some important examples.

Classifying torsionfree classes of the category of coherent sheaves and their Serre subcategories

Abstract:In this paper, we classify several subcategories of the category of coherent sheaves on a noetherian divisorial scheme (e.g. a quasi-projective scheme over a commutative noetherian ring). More precisely, we classify the torsionfree (resp. torsion) classes closed under tensoring with line bundles by the subsets (resp. specialization-closed subsets) of the scheme, which generalizes the classification of torsionfree (resp. torsion) classes of the category of finitely generated modules over a commutative noetherian ring by Takahashi (resp. Stanley--Wang). Furthermore, we classify the Serre subcategories of a torsionfree class (in the sense of Quillen's exact categories) by using the above classifications, which gives a certain generalization of Gabriel's classification of Serre subcategories. As explicit applications, we classify the Serre subcategories of the category of maximal pure sheaves, which are a natural generalization of vector bundles for reducible schemes, on a reduced projective curve over a field, and the category of maximal Cohen-Macaulay modules over a one-dimensional Cohen-Macaulay ring.

Cohomology of toric diagrams

Abstract:In this note, integral cohomology of homotopy colimits for toric diagrams and their classifying spaces over regular CW posets are described in terms of sheaf cohomology. Split $T$-CW-complexes with CW orbit poset $C$ have such decomposition (up to a homeomorphism) in terms of a $T$-diagram $D$ over $C$. Equivariant formality for $hocolim\ D$ is equivalent to $H^{odd}(hocolim\ D)=0$ (over $\mathbb{Q}$, or over $\mathbb{Z}$ for connected stabilizers) provided that $C$ is an oriented homology manifold. The integral singular cohomology groups and bigraded Betti numbers are computed in this setting. Similar descriptions are provided for skeleta of toric manifolds and compact nonsingular toric varieties. The cohomological orbit spectral sequence collapse over $\mathbb{Z}$ at page $2$ is proved for any compact toric variety.

Abstract:We prove a crepant transformation correspondence in genus zero Gromov-Witten theory for toric stack bundles related by crepant wall-crossings of the toric fibers. Specifically, we construct a symplectic transformation that identifies $I$-functions toric stack bundles suitably analytically continued using Mellin-Barnes integral approach. We compare our symplectic transformation with a Fourier-Mukai isomorphism between the $K$-groups.
