Abstract:The goal of the Fast Abstracts track is to bring together researchers and practitioners working on dependable computing to discuss work in progress or opinion pieces. Contributions are welcome from academia and industry. Fast Abstracts aim to serve as a rapid and flexible mechanism to: (i) Report on current work that may or may not be complete; (ii) Introduce new ideas to the community; (iii) State positions on controversial issues or open problems; (iv) Share lessons learnt from real-word dependability engineering; and (v) Debunk or question results from other papers based on contra-indications. The Student Forum aims at creating a vibrant and friendly environment where students can present and discuss their work, and exchange ideas and experiences with other students, researchers and industry. One of the key goals of the Forum is to provide students with feedback on their preliminary results that might help with their future research directions.

Student Forum is a vibrant and friendly environment where students can present their work, exchange ideas and experiences, get feedback on their work, get new inspirations and points of view. In addition, the forum stimulates interaction between young researchers, experienced researchers, and industry.

Abstract:The 21st century society relies on computing systems more than ever. Computers are no longer simply machines that are used by organizations or at home. They are embedded everywhere, from cell phones to cars or industrial control devices, and large-scale cloud computing providers are sharing them among many organizations in an unprecedented scale. As computers have become indispensable, their failures may significantly perturb our daily lives. The increased hardware and software complexity, as well as the scaling of manufacturing technologies towards nanometer size devices, pose new challenges to the developers. As a consequence the development, testing, and benchmarking of dependable systems has become a vital topic of research, both for academia and industry. EDCC is the leading European conference for presenting and discussing the latest research in dependable computing. As in previous years, its tenth edition aims at providing a European-hosted venue for researchers and practitioners from all over the world to present and discuss their latest research results on dependability, security, fault-tolerance, and testing. Original papers are solicited on theory, techniques, systems, and tools for the design, validation, operation and evaluation of dependable and secure computing systems, covering any fault model, from traditional hardware and software faults to accidental and malicious human interactions.

Abstract:This volume contains the proceedings of ICE'24, the 17th Interaction and Concurrency Experience, which was held on Friday 21th June 2024 at the University of Groningen in Groningen, The Netherlands, as a satellite workshop of DisCoTec 2024. The ICE workshop series features a distinguishing review and selection procedure: PC members are encouraged to interact, anonymously, with authors. The 2024 edition of ICE included double blind reviewing of original research papers, in order to increase fairness and avoid bias in reviewing. Each paper was reviewed by three PC members, and altogether 3 papers were accepted for publication plus 1 oral communication, which was accepted for presentation at the workshop. We were proud to host one invited talk, by Jorge A. Pérez. The abstract of his talk is included in this volume, together with the final versions of the research papers, which take into account the discussion at the workshop and during the review process.

Abstract:No library can buy or hold everything its patrons need. At a certain point, librarians need to pool their resources and collaborate to provide access to what they don't have: Collaboration and partnership, centralized and shared collection storage, digitization projects, interlibrary loan and resource sharing, purchase on demand, PDA and EBA are notably key to success. The 2022 edition of the Erasmus Mobility Staff Training week organized at the University of Liège Library focused on services, projects and policies that libraries can deploy and promote to increase and ease access to materials that do not belong to their print or electronic holdings.
