Abstract:We obtain the boundedness for the fractional integral operators from the modulation Hardy space µp,q to the modulation Hardy space µr,q for all 0 < p < ∞. The result is an extension of the known result for the case 1 < p < ∞ and it contains a larger range of r than those in the classical result of the Lp → Lr boundedness in the Lebesgue spaces. We also obtain some estimates on the modulation spaces for the bilinear fractional operators.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to establishing the kernel theorems for $\alpha$-modulation spaces in terms of boundedness and compactness. We characterize the boundedness of a linear operator $A$ from an $\alpha$-modulation space $M^p_{\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^d)$ into another $\alpha$-modulation space $M^q_{\alpha}(\mathbb{R}^d)$, by the membership of its distributional kernel in mixed $\alpha$-modulation spaces. We also characterize the compactness of $A$ by means of the kernel in a certain closed subspace of mixed $\alpha$-modulation spaces. The proofs are based on the viewpoint that the action of the linear operator on certain function space can be reduced to the action on the suitable atoms of this function space.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a class of pseudo-differential operators known as time-frequency localization operators on , which depend on a symbol and two windows functions and . We define the short-time Fourier transform on and modulation spaces on , and present some basic properties. Then, we use modulation spaces on as appropriate classes for symbols, and study the boundedness and compactness of the localization operators on modulation spaces on . Then, we show that these operators are in the Schatten–von Neumann class. Also, we obtain the relation between the Landau–Pollak–Slepian type operator and the localization operator on . Finally, under suitable conditions on the symbols, we prove that the localization operators are paracommutators, paraproducts and Fourier multipliers.

Abstract:In this paper, we give some properties of the modulation spaces $M_s^{p,1}({\mathbf R}^n)$ as commutative Banach algebras. In particular, we show the Wiener-Lévy theorem for $M^{p,1}_s({\mathbf R}^n)$, and clarify the sets of spectral synthesis for $M^{p,1}_s ({\mathbf R}^n)$ by using the ``ideal theory for Segal algebras'' developed in Reiter [30].The inclusion relationship between the modulation space $M^{p,1}_0 ({\mathbf R})$ and the Fourier Segal algebra ${\mathcal F}\hspace{-0.08cm}A_p({\mathbf R})$ is also determined.

Abstract:In this paper we derive time-decay and Strichartz estimates for the generalized Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation on the framework of modulation spaces $M^s_{p,q}.$ We use this results to analyze the existence of local and global solutions of the corresponding Cauchy problem with rough data in modulation spaces. The results improve known results in Sobolev spaces in some sense.

Abstract:We investigate spaces of operators which are invariant under translations or modulations by lattices in phase space. The natural connection to the Heisenberg module is considered, giving results on the characterisation of such operators as limits of finite--rank operators. Discrete representations of these operators in terms of elementary objects and the composition calculus are given. Different quantisation schemes are discussed with respect to the results.

Abstract:We prove a general Borg-type inverse spectral result for a reflectionless unitary CMV operator (CMV for Cantero, Moral, and Velázquez) associated with matrix-valued Verblunsky coefficients. More precisely, we find an explicit formula for the Verblunsky coefficients of a reflectionless CMV matrix whose spectrum consists of a connected arc on the unit circle. This extends a recent result on CMV operators with scalar-valued coefficients. In the course of deriving the Borg-type result we also use exponential Herglotz representations of Caratheodory matrix-valued functions to prove an infinite sequence of trace formulas connected with CMV operators.

Homogeneous Sobolev and Besov spaces on special Lipschitz domains and their traces

Abstract:We aim to contribute to the folklore of function spaces on Lipschitz domains. We prove the boundedness of the trace operator for homogeneous Sobolev and Besov spaces on a special Lipschitz domain with sharp regularity. To achieve this, we provide appropriate definitions and properties, ensuring our construction of these spaces is suitable for non-linear partial differential equations and boundary value problems. The trace theorem holds with the sharp range $s \in (\frac{1}{p}, 1 + \frac{1}{p})$. While the case of inhomogeneous function spaces is well-known, the case of homogeneous function spaces appears to be new, even for a smooth half-space. We refine several arguments from a previous paper on function spaces on the half-space and include a treatment for the endpoint cases $p=1$ and $p=+\infty$.

Abstract:We characterize the trace class membership of Toeplitz operators with distributional symbols acting on the Bergman space on the unit disk. The Berezin transform of distributions, introduced in the paper, yields a formula for the trace. Several instructive examples are also given.

Abstract:We study properties of the boundary trace operator on the Sobolev space . Using the density result by Koskela and Zhang (Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 222 (1), 1-14 2016), we define a surjective operator , where is von Koch's snowflake and is a trace space with the quotient norm. Since is a uniform domain whose boundary is Ahlfors-regular with an exponent strictly bigger than one, it was shown by L. Malý (2017) that there exists a right inverse to Tr , i.e. a linear operator such that . In this paper we provide a different, purely combinatorial proof based on geometrical structure of von Koch's snowflake. Moreover we identify the isomorphism class of the trace space as . As an additional consequence of our approach we obtain a simple proof of the Peetre's theorem (Special Issue 2 , 277-282 1979) about non-existence of the right inverse for domain with regular boundary, which explains Banach space geometry cause for this phenomenon.

Abstract:We obtain Gabor frame characterisations of modulation spaces defined via a class of translation-modulation invariant Banach spaces of distributions that was recently introduced in $[10]$. We show that these spaces admit an atomic decomposition through Gabor expansions and that they are characterised by summability properties of their Gabor coefficients. Furthermore, we construct a large space of admissible windows. This generalises several fundamental results for the classical modulation spaces $ M^{p,q}_{w}$. Due to the absence of solidity assumptions on the Banach spaces defining these modulation spaces, the methods used for the spaces $M^{p,q}_{w}$ (or, more generally, in coorbit space theory) fail in our setting and we develop here a new approach based on the twisted convolution.

Abstract:We obtain local wellposedness for the Vlasov‐Riesz‐Fokker‐Planck system in Modulation space, as well as a regularity‐enhancing property of the system. We provide an estimate of the nonlinear term in Modulation space with higher regularity. The proof primarily relies on exploiting the properties of operators in Modulation space, while also drawing upon a proof analogous to that of the Bernstein multiplier theorem.

Abstract:We give a method to estimate non-integer power function | u | k u in modulation space which is an open question in the study of modulation space. As an application, we can study Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with nonlinear term | u | k u in modulation space, where k is not an integer. Moreover, we also study the global solution with small initial value for the Klein-Gordon-Hartree equation. The results show some advantages of modulation space both in high and low regularity cases.

Abstract:Let $1<q\le $ and . Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces in the special case where , extending what was introduced by J. Bourgain, have proved useful in the study related to the Strichartz estimate and the non-linear Schrödinger equation. In this article, by cleverly mixing the norm structures of grand Lebesgue spaces and Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces and adding an extra exponent , the authors introduce a new class of function spaces, called generalized grand Besov–Bourgain–Morrey spaces . The authors explore their various real-variable properties including pre-dual spaces and the Gagliardo–Peetre and the ± interpolation theorems. Via establishing some equivalent quasi-norms of related to Muckenhoupt -weights, the authors then obtain an extrapolation theorem of . Applying this extrapolation theorem, the Calderón product, and the sparse family of dyadic grids of , the authors establish the sharp boundedness on of the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator, the fractional integral, and the Calderón–Zygmund operator.

Abstract:This paper discusses spectral synthesis for those modulation spaces $M^{p,q}_s({\mathbf R}^n)$ which form Banach algebras under pointwise multiplication. An important argument will be the ``ideal theory for Segal algebras'' by H. Reiter [15]. This paper is a continuation of our paper [5] where the case $q=1$ is treated. As a by-product we obtain a variant of Wiener-Lévy theorem for $M^{p,q}_s({\mathbf R}^n)$ and Fourier-Wermer algebras ${\mathcal F}L^q_s({\mathbf R}^n)$.

Abstract:Abstract.We study localization operators within the framework of ultradistributions. More precisely, given a symbol a and two windows φ1, φ2, we investigate the multilinear mapping from$$\left( {a,\varphi _1 ,\varphi _2 } \right) \in \,\mathcal{S}^{(1)\prime } (\mathbb{R}^{2d} ) \times \mathcal{S}^{(1)} (\mathbb{R}^d ) \times \mathcal{S}^{(1)} (\mathbb{R}^d )$$ to the localization operator$$A_a^{\varphi _1 ,\varphi _2 } .$$ Results are formulated in terms of modulation spaces with weights which may have exponential growth. We give sufficient and necessary conditions for$$A_a^{\varphi _1 ,\varphi _2 } $$ a to be bounded or to belong to a Schatten class. As an application, we study symbols defined by ultra-distributions with compact support, that give trace class localization operators.
