Xin proved a rigidity result for self-shrinkers under the integral condition on the norm of the second fundamental form. Abstract:In this paper, we show an optimal volume growth for self-shrinkers, and estimate a lower bound of the first eigenvalue of $\mathcal{L}$ operator on self-shrinkers, inspired by the first eigenvalue conjecture on minimal hypersurfaces in the unit sphere by Yau \cite{SY}. By the eigenvalue estimates, we can prove a compactness theorem on a class of compact self-shrinkers in $\ir{3}$ obtained by Colding-Minicozzi under weaker conditions.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the pinching phenomena of the tracefree second fundamental form of complete self-shrinkers of higher codimension. Firstly, assuming the mean curvature is nonzero everywhere and the self-shrinker is of polynomial volume growth, we prove that if the tracefree second fundamental form satisfies $||\mathring{A}||_{n}<c(n)$ for a positive constant C ( n ) depending only on the dimension n of the self-shrinker, then it is isometric to the sphere . Secondly, we show if the mean curvature vector H of the self-shrinker satisfies and satisfies $||\mathring{A}||_{n}<d(n,\sup span="" |h|)$ for a positive constant depending on n and , then it is isometric to the Euclidean space . We also obtain some rigidity theorems for self-shrinkers satisfying pointwise curvature pinching conditions on . </c(n)\)<>

Abstract:In this paper, we study the sharp constants of quantitative Hardy and Rellich inequalities on nonreversible Finsler manifolds equipped with arbitrary measures. In particular, these inequalities can be globally refined by adding remainder terms like the Brezis–Vázquez improvement, if Finsler manifolds are of strictly negative flag curvature, vanishing S-curvature and finite uniformity constant. Furthermore, these results remain valid when Finsler metrics are reversible.
The Logarithmic Sobolev inequality on non-compact self-shrinkers

Abstract:In the paper we establish an optimal logarithmic Sobolev inequality for complete, non-compact, properly embedded self-shrinkers in the Euclidean space, which generalizes a recent result of Brendle \cite{Brendle22} for closed self-shrinkers. We first provide a proof for the logarithmic Sobolev inequality in the Euclidean space by using the Alexandrov-Bakelman-Pucci (ABP) method. Then we use this approach to show an optimal logarithmic Sobolev inequality for complete, non-compact, properly embedded self-shrinkers in the Euclidean space, which is a sharp version of the result of Ecker in \cite{Ecker}. The proof is a noncompact modification of Brendle's proof for closed submanifolds and has a big potential to provide new inequalities in noncompact manifolds.

Abstract:International Journal of Mathematics, Ahead of Print. In this paper, we investigate the rigidity of self-shrinkers in a Euclidean space [math]. We first prove that any self-shrinker [math] with constant squared norm of the second fundamental form and with at most two distinct principal curvatures is an open part of a hyperplane [math], a cylinder [math] or the round sphere [math]. Then, it can be applied to show that any complete self-shrinker [math] with constant squared norm of the second fundamental form and with at most two distinct principal curvatures is isometric to a hyperplane [math], a cylinder [math] [math] or the round sphere [math]. Finally, some characterizations of self-shrinkers with constant mean curvature in [math] are also obtained.

Abstract:Using a maximum principle for self-shrinkers of the mean curvature flow, we give new proofs of a rigidity theorem for rotationally symmetric compact self-shrinkers and a result about the asymptotic behavior of self-shrinkers. This comparison argument also implies a linear bound for the second fundamental form of self-shrinking surfaces under natural assumptions. As a consequence, translating solitons can be related to these self-shrinkers.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove gap results for complete self-shrinkers of the $r$-mean curvature flow involving a modified second fundamental form. These results extend previous results for self-shrinkers of the mean curvature flow due to Cao-Li and Cheng-Peng. To prove our results we show that, under suitable curvature bounds, proper self-shrinkers are parabolic for a certain second-order differential operator which generalizes the drifted Laplacian and, even if is not proper, this differential operator satisfies an Omori-Yau type maximum principle.

Abstract:We study space-like self-shrinkers of dimension n in pseudo-Euclidean space R-m(m+n) with index m. We derive drift Laplacian of the basic geometric quantities and obtain their volume estimates in pseudo-distance function. Finally, we prove rigidity results under minor growth conditions in terms of the mean curvature or the image of Gauss maps.

Abstract:In this note, we give a new and simple proof of a result in {\cite{DX1}} which states that any smooth complete self-shrinker in $\mathbb{R}^3$ with second fundamental form of constant length must be a generalized cylinder $\mathbb{S}^k \times \mathbb{R}^{2-k}$ for some $k\leq2$. Moreover, we prove a gap theorem for smooth self-shrinkers in all dimensions.

Abstract:We show the (normalized) Li-Yau conformal volume of a self-shrinker of mean curvature flow in Euclidean space bounds its Colding-Minicozzi entropy from below. This bound is independent of codimension and sharp on planes. As an application we verify a conjecture of Colding-Minicozzi about the entropy of closed self-shrinkers of arbitrary codimension for self-shrinkers that are topologically two-dimensional real projective planes. As part of the proof we introduce two auxiliary functionals which we call stable conformal volume and virtual entropy which should be of independent interest.

Abstract:We prove a smooth compactness theorem for the space of embedded self-shrinkers in $\RR^3$. Since self-shrinkers model singularities in mean curvature flow, this theorem can be thought of as a compactness result for the space of all singularities and it plays an important role in studying generic mean curvature flow.

Abstract:We investigate Mean Curvature Flow self-shrinking hypersurfaces with polynomial growth. It is known that such self shrinkers are unstable. We focus mostly on self-shrinkers of the form $\mathbb S^k\times\R^{n-k}\subset \R^{n+1}$. We use a connection between the stability operator and the quantum harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian to find all eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the stability operator on these self-shrinkers. We also show self-shrinkers of this form have lower index than all other complete self-shrinking hypersurfaces. In particular, they have finite index. This implies that the ends of such self shrinkers must be stable. We look for the largest stable regions of these self shrinkers.

Abstract:In his lecture notes on mean curvature flow, Ilmanen conjectured the existence of noncompact self-shrinkers with arbitrary genus. Here, we employ min-max techniques to give a rigorous existence proof for these surfaces. Conjecturally, the self-shrinkers that we obtain have precisely one (asymptotically conical) end. We confirm this for large genus via a precise analysis of the limiting object of sequences of such self-shrinkers for which the genus tends to infinity. Finally, we provide numerical evidence for a further family of noncompact self-shrinkers with odd genus and two asymptotically conical ends.
