Abstract:We give another proof of the recent result of Ringel, which asserts equality between the finitistic dimension and delooping level of Nakayama algebras. The main tool is syzygy filtration method introduced in \cite{sen2019}. In particular, we give characterization of the finitistic dimension one Nakayama algebras.

Abstract:Optimal upper bounds are provided for the dominant dimensions of Nakayama algebras and more generally algebras $A$ with an idempotent $e$ such that there is a minimal faithful injective-projective module $eA$ and such that $eAe$ is a Nakayama algebra. This answers a question of Abrar and proves a conjecture of Yamagata for monomial algebras.

Abstract:We show that for a given Nakayama algebra $\Theta$, there exist countably many cyclic Nakayama algebras $\Lambda_i$, where $i \in \mathbb{N}$, such that the syzygy filtered algebra of $\Lambda_i$ is isomorphic to $\Theta$ and we describe those algebras $\Lambda_i$. We show, among these algebras, there exists a unique algebra $\Lambda$ where the defects, representing the number of indecomposable injective but not projective modules, remain invariant for both $\Theta$ and $\Lambda$. As an application, we achieve the classification of cyclic Nakayama algebras that are minimal Auslander-Gorenstein and dominant Auslander-regular algebras of global dimension three. Specifically, by using the Auslander-Iyama correspondence, we obtain cluster-tilting objects for certain Nakayama algebras. Additionally, we introduce cosyzygy filtered algebras and show that it is dual of syzygy filtered algebra.

Abstract:The magnitude for algebras is a generalization of the Euler characteristic. We investigate the magnitude for Nakayama algebras. Using Ringel's resolution quiver, the existence and the value of rational magnitude is given. As a result, we show that the finite global dimension criteria for Nakayama algebras of Madsen and the first author are equivalent.

Abstract:Let $A$ be a Nakayama algebra with $n$ simple modules and a simple module $S$ of even projective dimension $m$. Choose $m$ minimal such that a simple $A$-module with projective dimension $2m$ exists, then we show that the global dimension of $A$ is bounded by $n+m-1$. This gives a combined generalisation of results of Gustafson \cite{Gus} and Madsen \cite{Mad}. In \cite{Bro}, Brown proved that the global dimension of quasi-hereditary Nakayama algebras with $n$ simple modules is bounded by $n$. Using our result on the bounds of global dimensions of Nakayama algebras, we give a short new proof of this result and generalise Brown's result from quasi-hereditary to standardly stratified Nakayama algebras, where the global dimension is replaced with the finitistic dimension.

Symmetry of Derived Delooping Level

Abstract:The finitistic dimension conjecture is closely connected to the symmetry of the finitistic dimension. Recent work indicates that such connection extends to one of its upper bounds, the delooping level. In this paper, we show that the same holds for the derived delooping level, which is an improvement of the delooping level. This reduces the finitistic dimension conjecture to considering algebras whose opposite algebra has (derived) delooping level zero. We thereby demonstrate ways to utilize the new concept of derived delooping level to obtain new results and present additional work involving tensor product of algebras.

Abstract:A Nakayama algebra with almost separate relations is one where the overlap between any pair of relations is at most one arrow. In this paper we give a derived equivalence between such Nakayama algebras and path algebras of quivers of a special form known as quipu quivers. Furthermore, we show how this derived equivalence can be used to produce a complete classification of linear Nakayama algebras with almost separate relations. As an application, we include a list of the derived equivalence classes of all Nakayama algebras of length $\leq 8$ with almost separate relations.

The first is the Nakayama lemma and the second is that the simples can detect finite projective dimension. Abstract:The main aim of this study is to characterize representation rings and derived representation rings of a class of finite dimensional Hopf algebras constructed from the Nakayama truncated algebras KZ(n)/J(d) with certain constraints. For the representation ring r(K Z(n)/J(d)), we completely determine its generators and the relations of generators via the method of the Pascal triangle. For the derived representation ring dr(K Z(n) / J(2))( i.e., d = 2), we determine its generators and give the relations of generators. For these two aspects, the polynomial characterizations of the representation ring and the derived representation rings are both given. Representation rings are well-known as Green rings from module categories over Hopf algebras. We have studied Green rings in the context of monoidal categories such that representations of Hopf algebras can be investigated through Green rings of various levels from module categories to derived categories from a unified viewpoint. Firstly, as analogues of representation rings of Hopf algebras, we set up so-called Green rings of monoidal categories, and then we list some such categories including module, complex, homotopy, derived and (derived) shift, categories, and the relationship among their corresponding Green rings.

Abstract:In this paper, we develop new ideas regarding the finitistic dimension conjecture, or the findim conjecture for short. Specifically, we improve upon the delooping level by introducing three new invariants called the effective delooping level $edell$, the sub-derived delooping level $subddell$, and the derived delooping level $ddell$. They are all better upper bounds for the opposite Findim. Precisely, we prove \[ Findim\Lambda^{op} = edell\Lambda \leq ddell\Lambda \text{ (or $subddell\Lambda$)} \leq dell\Lambda \] and provide examples where the last inequality is strict (including the recent example from [Kershaw and Rickard] where $dell\Lambda=\infty$, but $ddell\Lambda=1=Findim\Lambda^{op}$). We further enhance the connection between the findim conjecture to tilting theory by showing finitely generated modules with finite derived delooping level form a torsion-free class $F$. Therefore, studying the corresponding torsion pair $(T, F)$ will shed more light on the little finitistic dimension. Lastly, we relate the delooping level to the $\phi$-dimension $\phi\, dim$, a popular upper bound for findim, and give another sufficient condition for the findim conjecture.

Abstract:In this paper we study higher level Deligne--Lusztig representations of reductive groups over discrete valuation rings, with finite residue field $\mathbb{F}_q$. In previous work we proved that, at even levels, these geometrically constructed representations are isomorphic to certain algebraically constructed representations (referred to as the algebraisation theorem at even levels). In this paper we work with an arbitrary level $>1$. Our main result is (1) the algebraisation theorem at all levels $>1$ (with the sign being explicitly determined for $q\geq7$). As consequences, we obtain (2) the regular semisimplicity of orbits of generic higher level Deligne--Lusztig representations, and the dimension formula; in the course of the proof, we give (3) an induction formula of higher level Deligne--Lusztig representations, and a new proof of the character formula at regular semisimple elements.

Abstract:Given a proper holomorphic surjective morphism $f:X\rightarrow Y$ from a compact Kähler manifold to a compact Kähler manifold, and a Nakano semipositive holomorphic vector bundle $E$ on $X$, we prove Kollár type vanishing theorems on cohomologies with coefficients in $R^qf_\ast(\omega_X(E))\otimes F$, where $F$ is a $k$-positive vector bundle on $Y$. The main inputs in the proof are the deep results on the Nakano semipositivity of the higher direct images due to Berndtsson and Mourougane-Takayama, and an $L^2$-Dolbeault resolution of the higher direct image sheaf $R^qf_\ast(\omega_X(E))$, which is of interest in itself.

Abstract:A theorem of Keller states that the Yoneda algebra of the simple modules over a finite-dimensional algebra is generated in cohomological degrees $0$ and $1$ as a minimal $A_\infty$-algebra. We provide a proof of an extension of Keller's theorem to abelian length categories by reducing the problem to a particular class of Nakayama algebras, where the claim can be shown by direct computation.
