Abstract:By now,pre-stress concrete temperature stress effect cann't be considered with PKPM(PREC)software,this is not safe for the workshop structure of longer longitudinal.A PKPM(PREC)software combination PKPM(PMSAP)software method is adopted to analyze pre-stress concrete temperature stress.pre-stress reinforcing bar quantities,crack widths and deflections are obtained under temperature stress effect.It becomes possible to consider temperature stress calculating pre-stress concrete structure by PKPM(PMSAP)software.Moreover,the stiffness reduction factor of pre-stress beams and other components are taken in,temperature internal forces gotten by calculation are decreased than conventional method,which coincides well wrth actual condition.

Abstract:In order to better strengthen the building, solve the defects existing in its structure, the need to analyze the whole building, and the structure of the test. Based on PKPM software, the overall reinforcement scheme is analyzed and the optimal scheme is selected. Based on the seismic data of Satwe designed buildings, the feasibility of the reinforcement scheme is analyzed, and the overall seismic resistance meets the design requirements of buildings, which lays a foundation for future building reinforcement.

Abstract:An integrated design method is discussed which thoroughly considers related parameters of the various subsystems in order to optimize the overall system that mainly consists of opto-mechanical structure CAD, CAE and the integrated information platform PDM. Based on the parameter drive of the virtual main model, the method focuses on the model transformation and data share among different design and analysis steps, and so the concurrent simulation and design optimization are carried out. As an example of application, the integrated design for a large-scale opto-mechanical structure is introduced, including optical design, structure design and analysis, which further validates the advantages of the method. Due to comprehensive consideration of the design and analysis process by CAD and CAE based on PDM, the integrated design well attains the structure optimization with high efficiency.
A software platform for information conversion from IFC-based architectural model to PKPM structural model

Abstract:With the emerging use of IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) standard and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in the A/E/C (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) industry, the requirements for more effective collaboration between architects and structural engineers have become even more demanding in the current building design field. This paper presents an information conversion platform from IFC-based architectural model to PKPM (Bopomofo acronym, a Chinese building design software) structural model with the aim to enhance effective collaboration at the design phase. To design the framework of the platform, the PKPM structural model and IFC data model are described and analyzed in the research, and mixed program languages such as C++ and FORTRAN are adopted for developing the platform software. The proposed platform can support automatic information conversion from IFC-format architectural model to PKPM structural model, which includes geometrical information, material information, section information and connection attribute information of building elements. A case study is implemented at the end of the paper to illustrate how to use the platform for information conversion. The platform provides a basic tool for PKPM software to support IFC standard.

Abstract:In order to study building BIM technology PKIM energy building engineering software system, firstly, the building collaborative platform based on BIM technology and PKPM professional software BIM technology application is constructed. Then, it introduces that PKPM connects all aspects of construction projects through the core 3D data model and takes the lead in realizing the BIM concept of information datalization, data modeling, and model generalization, thus realizing the full utilization of building model data in the whole life cycle. Finally, this paper introduces the seismic analysis method of structure based on BIM platform, taking a complex building with a transfer storey structure as an example. The experiment shows that the BIM model can be used to analyze and calculate the building performance, such as sunshine, energy consumption, daylighting, and evacuation of people, and complete the green building design. The BIM model can also generate professional construction drawings of buildings, structures, and equipment.

Abstract:The plaster or concrete splity is the common method of strengthening low strength brick walls.But the seismic calculation of strengthened masonry largely relies on the manpower.The possibility of performing the seismic calculation for strengthened masonry is discussed using the PMCAD module developed in the PKPM.In order to suit the PKPM-styled input options,an equivalent conversion method is developed to ensure the stiffness and mass of equivalent walls unchanged with respect to the original composite walls.The modification factors of shear strength and vertical strength of equivalent walls is specified.

Abstract:There are great differences between architectural design and structural design in the aspects of thinking mode and design objective. The design of practical projects always develops along with compromise between the two professions. This working pattern is not considered as an effective way for structures in taking its good effects in architectural design, and may probably lead to waste. Penetration of contemporary digital technologies in architectural industry makes it possible for the architectural and structural design to be integrated on the digital platform. In the 2014 Tsinghua parametric design workshop, forms of folding plate structure are explored along with the teaching process of Grasshopper. Form generation and structural simulation are carried out on the Grasshopper platform. Laser cutting and 3D printing technologies are also employed in elements fabrication. This article introduces the technical issues and thinking related to this experimental project.

Abstract:Design plays a leading role in architectural design, which determines the quality of construction projects. At present, most of the prefabricated constructures are designed according to the principle of cast-in-place construction, and the structural system basically follows the mode of cast-in-place structure. The advantages of prefabricated industrialization have not been reflected in the system of prefabricated construction structure and design. Due to various factors, it has become highly difficult to design prefabricated buildings, making it impossible to complete the design with the help of traditional design tools. Instead, it needs to rely on BIM Technology to complete the prefabricated construction design so as to make the construction projects visible, controllable and informationalized. Moreover, the design information from various parties concerned can be highly integrated and coordinated, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of construction projects and enhancing buildings' quality [1] .

Abstract:Traditional structural design involves drawing recognition, repeated modeling, parameter tuning, and numerous mechanical analyses by skilled designers, which is time-consuming and inefficient. To address those problems, a two-stage automatic structural design of the steel frame based on expert experiences is proposed. In the first stage, from the computer-aided design plain drawing, semantic features (walls and openings) and geometrical information of architectural elements are extracted by a layer classification method. The segmentation of rooms is conducted by an enclosed region detection method and the connectivity graph is generated using the connected component analysis method. Based on expert experiences considering both structure and architectural function requirements, the structural member configuration and the floor load distribution are automatically established to obtain the parametric structural model. In the second stage, a modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO) based on expert experiences is proposed for single-objective structural optimization according to the design codes. Then based on MPSO, a hierarchical multi-objective optimization method is adopted to obtain more available solutions with different economic benefit and redundant safety. The results show that the proposed two-stage structural design framework is fully automatic and highly efficient. It integrates parametric modeling and structural optimization, and also enables effective transfer of different data items including architectural plan and structural model. It provides a guideline to automatic structural design of steel frames.

Abstract:Reconfigurable Parallel Kinematic Machine (PKM) consists of an inventory of interchangeable modules. This paper presents a kind of structural design of reconfigurable PKMs. The method of modularizing and integrating is proposed to design modules, and a reconfiguration state-representation method is developed. Based on this description, a Petri Net is applied to the modeling reconfiguration system process in reconfiguration task planning. A set of optimal or approximate optimal reconfiguration sequences by using some effect algorithms is invested and generated. The reconfiguration cost matrix (RCM) is used to figure out dynamic cost in reconfiguration system.

In order to meet the needs of urbanization, many large buildings and high-rise buildings have been built up. These buildings are usually large, so they put forward higher and higher requirements for the technical level of engineering construction. Whether it is for the stability or safety of buildings, it must be continuously improved. Basic design is a key part of the structural design of a building. For the safety of buildings, natural disasters or accidental injuries can have extremely bad effects on urban development and people's life. This paper briefly discusses the basic design analysis in architectural structure design, and seeks the key technology in this process to provide a guarantee for the safety of the building.
