Abstract:Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) deformations of Artin-Schelter regular algebras are skew Calabi- Yau. We prove that the Nakayama automorphisms of such PBW deformations can be obtained from their homogenizations. Some Calabi-Yau properties are generalized without Koszul assumption. We also show that the Nakayama automorphisms of such PBW deformations control Hopf actions on them.

Abstract:In this paper, we study homological properties of twisted tensor products of connected graded algebras. We focus first on the Ext-algebras of twisted tensor products with a certain form of twisting maps. We show those Ext-algebras are also twisted tensor products, and describe the twisting maps for such Ext-algebras explicitly. With those preparations, we describe Nakayama automorphisms of twisted tensor products of noetherian Artin–Schelter regular algebras.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a group coacting on an Artin-Schelter regular algebra $A$ homogeneously and inner-faithfully. When the identity component $A_e$ is also Artin-Schelter regular, providing a generalization of the Shephard-Todd-Chevalley Theorem, we say that $G$ is a dual reflection group for $A$. We give two examples of dual reflection groups of order 16, and study algebraic and geometric properties of three associated Artin-Schelter regular algebras of dimension four.

Group coactions on two-dimensional Artin-Schelter regular algebras

Abstract:We describe all possible coactions of finite groups (equivalently, all group gradings) on two-dimensional Artin-Schelter regular algebras. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the associated Auslander map to be an isomorphism, and determine precisely when the invariant ring for the coaction is Artin-Schelter regular. The proofs of our results are combinatorial and exploit the structure of the McKay quiver associated to the coaction.

Abstract:In a recent paper by K.-H. Lee and K. Lee, rigid reflections are defined for any Coxeter group via non-self-intersecting curves on a Riemann surface with labeled curves. When the Coxeter group arises from an acyclic quiver, the rigid reflections are related to the rigid representations of the quiver. For a family of rank $3$ Coxeter groups, it was conjectured in the same paper that there is a natural bijection from the set of reduced positive roots of a symmetric rank $2$ Kac--Moody algebra onto the set of rigid reflections of the corresponding rank $3$ Coxeter group. In this paper, we prove the conjecture.

Abstract:Abstract Suppose that W is a finite, unitary, reflection group acting on the complex vector space V and X is a subspace of V . Define N to be the setwise stabilizer of X in W , Z to be the pointwise stabilizer, and C = N / Z . Then restriction defines a homomorphism from the algebra of W -invariant polynomial functions on V to the algebra of C -invariant functions on X . In this note we consider the special case when W is a Coxeter group, V is the complexified reflection representation of W , and X is in the lattice of the arrangement of W , and give a simple, combinatorial characterization of when the restriction mapping is surjective in terms of the exponents of W and C . As an application of our result, in the case when W is the Weyl group of a semisimple, complex Lie algebra, we complete a calculation begun by Richardson in 1987 and obtain a simple combinatorial characterization of regular decomposition classes whose closure is a normal variety.

Invariants and semi-invariants in the cohomology of the complement of a reflection arrangement

Abstract:Suppose V is a finite dimensional, complex vector space, A is a finite set of codimension one subspaces of V, and G is a finite subgroup of the general linear group GL(V) that permutes the hyperplanes in A. In this paper we study invariants and semi-invariants in the graded QG-module H^*(M(A)), where M(A) denotes the complement in V of the hyperplanes in A and H^*( . ) denotes rational singular cohomology, in the case when A is a reflection arrangement and the pair (A,G) arises from a reflection coset. Our main result is the construction of an explicit, natural (from the point of view of Coxeter groups) basis of the space of invariants, H^*(M(A))^G. In addition to leading to a proof of the description of the space of invariants conjectured by Felder and Veselov for Coxeter groups that does not rely on computer calculations, this construction provides an extension of this description of the space of invariants to arbitrary finite, complex reflection groups. The main result also leads to simplifications of some cohomology computations of Lehrer, Callegaro-Marin, and Marin.

Abstract:We represent a Coxeter group as a subgroup of diffeomorphisms of a smooth manifold. These so-called Coxeter transformation groups fix a union of codimension-1 (reflecting) submanifolds and permute the connected components of the complement. Their action naturally extends to the tangent bundle of the ambient manifold and fixes the union of tangent bundles of these reflecting submanifolds. Fundamental group of the tangent bundle complement and that of its quotient serve as the analogue of pure Artin group and Artin group respectively. The main aim of this paper is to prove Salvetti’s theorems in this context. We show that the combinatorial data of the Coxeter transformation group can be used to construct a cell complex which is equivariantly homotopy equivalent to the tangent bundle complement.

Abstract:We study the Knapp-Stein R-groups of the inner forms of SL(N) over a non-archimedean local field of characteristic zero, by using restriction from the inner forms of GL(N). As conjectured by Arthur, these R-groups are then shown to be naturally isomorphic to their dual avatars defined in terms of L-parameters. The 2-cocycles attached to R-groups can be described as well. The proofs are based on the results of K. Hiraga and H. Saito. We also construct examples to illustrate some new phenomena which do not occur in the case of SL(N) or classical groups.

The irreducible representation of the U-dual modular group is the quantum deformed black brane throat. We expose the isomorphism between coherent superposition of the topological amplitude and the space of the automorphic forms of the U-dual modular group.

Abstract:This paper concerns homological notions of regularity for noncommutative algebras. Properties of an algebra $A$ are reflected in the regularities of certain (complexes of) $A$-modules. We study the classical Tor-regularity and Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity, which were generalized from the commutative setting to the noncommutative setting by Jørgensen and Dong-Wu. We also introduce two new numerical homological invariants: concavity and Artin-Schelter regularity. Artin-Schelter regular algebras occupy a central position in noncommutative algebra and noncommutative algebraic geometry, and we use these invariants to establish criteria which can be used to determine whether a noetherian connected graded algebra is Artin-Schelter regular.

Rigidity of quantum algebras

Abstract:Given an associative $\mathbb{C}$-algebra $A$, we call $A$ strongly rigid if for any pair of finite subgroups of its automorphism groups $G, H,$ such that $A^G\cong A^H$, then $G$ and $H$ must be isomorphic. In this paper we show that a large class of filtered quantizations are strongly rigid. We also prove several other rigidity type results for various quantum algebras. For example, we show that given two non-isomorphic complex semi-simple Lie algebras $\mathfrak{g}_1, \mathfrak{g}_2$ of equal dimension, there are no injective $\mathbb{C}$-algebra homomorphisms between their enveloping algebras. We also show that any finite subgroup of automorphisms of a central reduction of a finite $W$-algebra $W_{\chi}(\mathfrak{g}, e)$ must be isomorphic to a subgroup of $Aut(\mathfrak{g}(e)).$ We solve the inverse Galois problem for a wide class of rational Cherednik algebras that includes all (simple) classical generalized Weyl algebras, and also for quantum tori. Finally, we show that the Picard group of an $n$-dimensional quantum torus $A_q$ (with $q$ not a root of unity) is isomorphic to the group of outer automorphisms of $A_q$, generalizing a result by Berest, Ramados and Tang.

Abstract:For a finite group $G$ and $\Bbbk$ an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero we consider Artin-Schelter regular algebras $A$ on which the Drinfeld double $D(G)$ acts inner faithfully, and its associated algebras of invariants $A^{D(G)}$. Explicit computations for the cases when $G$ is the (generalized) quaternion group of order 8 and 16 are given.

Extending earlier work by Douglass and Röhrle for Coxeter groups, we characterize when the restriction mapping is surjective for arbitrary unitary reflection groups G G in terms of the exponents of G G and C C and their reflection arrangements. A consequence of our main result is that the variety of G G -orbits in the G G -saturation of X X is smooth if and only if it is normal.

Abstract:Each transversal degree-d hypersurface ℳ in a weighted projective space defines a Landau-Ginzburg orbifold, the superpotential of which equals the defining polynomial of ℳ. For a generic such ℳ with trivial canonical class, the degree-0 (mod d) subring of the Jacobian ring (that is, the (c, c)-ring of the Landau-Ginzburg orbifold) is shown to admit an [Formula: see text] action and the corresponding Lefschetz-type decomposition. This leads to a general definition of a “large complex structure” limit, the mirror of the “large volume” limit, and the mirror images on ⊕qH3−q,q of the Hodge *-operator, duality and inner product on ⊕qHq,q.
Generalized Harish-Chandra morphism on Reflection Equation algebras

Abstract:We consider the so-called generalized Harish-Chandra morphism, taking the center of the enveloping algebra U(gl(N)) to the commutative algebra generated by eigenvalues of the generating matrix of this algebra, and generalize this construction to Reflection Equation algebras. To this end we introduce the eigenvalues of the generating matrix of the Reflection Equation algebra (modified or not), corresponding to a skew-invertible Hecke symmetry and define the generalized Harish-Chandra morphism in a similar way. We use this map in order to introduce quantum analogs of the so-called weight systems.
