Abstract:In this work, we prove that a sequence arising from modular forms under some prescribed conditions for $\Gamma$ that is $\Gamma_{0}(N)$ or an Atkin--Lehner extension of $\Gamma_{0}(N)$ must satisfy the Lucas congruences modulo any prime. As an implication, we completely affirm all the conjectural Lucas congruences that were recently posed by Cooper and reinterpret a number of known results.

Abstract:In 1992, Strauss, Shallit and Zagier proved that for any positive integer a,∑k=03a−1(2kk)≡0(mod32a) and furthermore132a∑k=03a−1(2kk)≡1(mod3). Recently a q-analogue of the first congruence was conjectured by Guo and Zeng. In this paper we prove the conjecture of Guo and Zeng, and also give a q-analogue of the second congruence.

Abstract:The central Delannoy numbers $D_n=\sum_{k=0}^{n}\binom{n}{k}\binom{n+k}{k}$ and the little Schröder number $s_n=\sum_{k=1}^{n}\frac{1}{n}\binom{n}{k}\binom{n}{k-1}2^{n-k}$ are important quantities. In this paper, we confirm \[\frac{2}{3n(n+1)}\sum_{k=1}^n (-1)^{n-k}k^2D_kD_{k-1}\ \text{and}\ \ \frac 1n\sum_{k=1}^n (-1)^{n-k}(4k^2+2k-1)D_{k-1}s_k\]are positive odd integers for all $n=1,2,3,\cdots$. We also show that for any prime number $p>3$, \[\sum_{k=1}^{p-1} (-1)^kk^2D_kD_{k-1}\ \equiv\ -\frac56p \pmod{p^2}\] and \[\sum_{k=1}^p (-1)^k(4k^2+2k-1)D_{k-1}s_k\ \equiv\ -4p \pmod{p^2}\text{.}\] Moreover, define \begin{equation*} s_n(x)=\sum_{k=1}^{n}\frac{1}{n}\binom{n}{k}\binom{n}{k-1}x^{k-1}(x+1)^{n-k}, \end{equation*} for any $n\in\mathbb{Z}^+$ is even we have \begin{equation*} \frac{4}{n(n+1)(n+2)(1+2x)^3}\sum_{k=1}^{n}k(k+1)(k+2)s_k(x)s_{k+1}(x)\in\mathbb{Z}[x]. \end{equation*}

Abstract:In this paper we obtain some congruences involving central binomial coefficients and Lucas sequences. For example, we show that if p>5 is a prime then $\sum_{k=0}^{p-1}F_k*binom(2k,k)/12^k$ is congruent to 0,1,-1 modulo p according as p=1,4 (mod 5), p=13,17 (mod 30), and p=7,23 (mod 30) respectively, where {F_n} is the Fibonacci sequence. We also raise several conjectures.

Abstract:Dumortier and Roussarie proposed a conjecture in their paper (2009, Discrete Con. Dyn. Sys., 2,723-781): For any \begin{document}$ q\in {\mathbb{N}} $\end{document} , the Abelian integrals \begin{document}$ J_{2j+1}(h) = \int_{\gamma_h}x^{2j-1}\,\mathrm dy $\end{document} , \begin{document}$ j = 0, 1, 2, \cdots, q $\end{document} , form a strict Chebyshev system on intervals \begin{document}$ h\in (0, \frac{1}{2}] $\end{document} , where \begin{document}$ \gamma_h = \{(x, y)| \mathrm e^{-2y}(y+\frac{1}{2}-x^2) = h\} $\end{document} . If this conjecture holds, then they obtain the precise upper bound of the number of limit cycles that appear near a slow-fast Hopf point of any codimension. In the present paper we develop a method to estimate the number of zeros of Abelian integrals and prove this conjecture.

Abstract:Let p be any prime and a be a positive integer. For nonnegative integers l,n and an integer r, the normalized cyclotomic $\psi$-coefficient $${n,r}_{l,p^a}:=p^{-[(n-p^{a-1}-lp^a)/(p^{a-1}(p-1))]} \sum_{k=r(mod p^a)}(-1)^k{n \choose k}{{(k-r)/p^a} \choose l}$$ is known to be an integer. In this paper, we show that this coefficient behaves like binomial coefficients and satisfies some Lucas-type congruences. This implies that a congruence of Wan is often optimal, and two conjectures of Sun and Davis are true.

We also prove that $(-q;q)_n=\prod_{0<k\le n}(1+q^k)$ divides $S_{2n}(q)$ and the numerator of $C_{2n}(q)$; this extends Carlitz's result that $2^n$ divides the Sali\'e number $S_{2n}$ and the numerator of the Carlitz number $C_{2n}$. Our result on q-Sali\'e numbers implies a conjecture of Guo and Zeng.
$q$-Supercongruences for multidimensional series modulo the sixth power of a cyclotomic polynomial

Abstract:With the help of El Bachraoui's lemma, the creative microscoping method, and a new form of the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials, we prove a $q$-supercongruence for double series and a $q$-supercongruence for triple series modulo the sixth power of a cyclotomic polynomial. As conclusions, two corresponding supercongruences for double and triple series, which are associated with the (D.2) supercongruence of Van Hamme, are given.

Abstract:$q$-Supercongruences modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial are very rare in the literature. In this paper, we establish some $q$-supercongruences modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial in terms of Jackson's $_8\phi_7$ summation, Watson's $_8\phi_7$ transformation, the creative microscoping method recently introduced by Guo and Zudilin, and the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials. More concretely, we give a $q$-analogue of a nice formula due to Long and Ramakrishna [Adv. Math. 290 (2016), 773--808] and two $q$-supercongruences involving double series.

Abstract:This paper proves three conjectures on congruences involving central binomial coefficients or Lucas sequences. Let p be an odd prime and let a be a positive integer. It is shown that if p ≡ 1 (mod 4) or a > 1 then ∑_k = 0^⌊34p^a ⌋( - 1/2k) ≡( 2p^a )( p^2 ) , where (−) denotes the Jacobi symbol. This confirms a conjecture of the second author. A conjecture of Tauraso is also confirmed by showing that ∑_k = 1^⌊p - 1⌋L_k k^2 ≡ 0( p)providedp > 5, where the Lucas numbers L 0 , L 1 , L 2 , … are defined by L 0 = 2, L 1 = 1 and L n +1 = L n + L n −1 ( n = 1, 2, 3, …). The third theorem states that if p ≠ 5 then F_p^a - (p^a 5) mod p 3 can be determined in the following way: ∑_k = 0^p^a - 1( - 1)^k (_k^2k ) ≡( p^a 5)(1 - 2F_p^a - (p^a 5) )( p^3 ), which appeared as a conjecture in a paper of Sun and Tauraso in 2010.

Abstract:In terms of several summation and transformation formulas for basic hypergeometric series, two forms of the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials, the creative microscoping method introduced by Guo and Zudilin, Guo and Li's lemma, and El Bachraoui's lemma, we establish some $q$-supercongruences for multiple basic hypergeometric series modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial. In detail, we generalize Guo and Li's two $q$-supercongruences for double basic hypergeometric series, which are related to $q$-analogues of Van Hamme's (C.2) supercongruence and Long's supercongruence, respectively. In addition, we also present two conclusions for double and triple hypergeometric series associated with Van Hamme's (D.2) supercongruence.
