Abstract:We prove two single-parameter q-supercongruences which were recently conjectured by Guo, and establish their further extensions with one more parameter. Crucial ingredients in the proof are the terminating form of q-binomial theorem and a Karlsson-Minton type summation formula due to Gasper. Incidentally, an assertion of Wang, Li and Tang is also verified by establishing its q-analogue.

Abstract:In this paper, we partly prove a supercongruence conjectured by Z.-W. Sun in 2013. Let $p$ be an odd prime and let $a\in\mathbb{Z}^{+}$. Then if $p\equiv1\pmod3$, we have \begin{align*} \sum_{k=0}^{\lfloor\frac{5}6p^a\rfloor}\frac{\binom{2k}k}{16^k}\equiv\left(\frac{3}{p^a}\right)\pmod{p^2}, \end{align*} where $\left(\frac{\cdot}{\cdot}\right)$ is the Jacobi symbol.

$q$-Supercongruences from squares of basic hypergeometric series

Abstract:We give some new $q$-supercongruences on truncated forms of squares of basic hypergeometric series. Most of them are modulo the cube of a cyclotomic polynomial, and two of them are modulo the fourth power of a cyclotomic polynomial. The main ingredients of our proofs are the creative microscoping method, a lemma of El Bachraoui, and the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials. We also propose several related conjectures for further study.

Abstract:In terms of the creative microscoping method recently introduced by Guo and Zudilin [Adv. Math. 346 (2019), 329--358], we find a $q$-supercongruence with four parameters modulo $\Phi_n(q)(1-aq^n)(a-q^n)$, where $\Phi_n(q)$ denotes the $n$-th cyclotomic polynomial in $q$. Then we empoly it and the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials to derive a $q$-supercongruence with two parameters modulo $[n]\Phi_n(q)^3$, where $[n]=(1-q^n)/(1-q)$ is the $q$-integer.

Abstract:In terms of several summation and transformation formulas for basic hypergeometric series, two forms of the Chinese remainder theorem for coprime polynomials, the creative microscoping method introduced by Guo and Zudilin, Guo and Li's lemma, and El Bachraoui's lemma, we establish some $q$-supercongruences for multiple basic hypergeometric series modulo the fifth and sixth powers of a cyclotomic polynomial. In detail, we generalize Guo and Li's two $q$-supercongruences for double basic hypergeometric series, which are related to $q$-analogues of Van Hamme's (C.2) supercongruence and Long's supercongruence, respectively. In addition, we also present two conclusions for double and triple hypergeometric series associated with Van Hamme's (D.2) supercongruence.

Abstract:Dumortier and Roussarie proposed a conjecture in their paper (2009, Discrete Con. Dyn. Sys., 2,723-781): For any \begin{document}$ q\in {\mathbb{N}} $\end{document} , the Abelian integrals \begin{document}$ J_{2j+1}(h) = \int_{\gamma_h}x^{2j-1}\,\mathrm dy $\end{document} , \begin{document}$ j = 0, 1, 2, \cdots, q $\end{document} , form a strict Chebyshev system on intervals \begin{document}$ h\in (0, \frac{1}{2}] $\end{document} , where \begin{document}$ \gamma_h = \{(x, y)| \mathrm e^{-2y}(y+\frac{1}{2}-x^2) = h\} $\end{document} . If this conjecture holds, then they obtain the precise upper bound of the number of limit cycles that appear near a slow-fast Hopf point of any codimension. In the present paper we develop a method to estimate the number of zeros of Abelian integrals and prove this conjecture.
