Abstract:We study the existence of ground and bound state solutions for a system of coupled Schr\"odinger equations with linear and nonlinear couplings in $\mathbb{R}^N$. By studying the limit system and using concentration compactness arguments, we prove the existence of ground and bound state solutions under suitable assumptions. Our results are new even for the limit system.

Abstract:We study a coupled Schrödinger system with general nonlinearities. By using variational methods, we prove the existence and asymptotic behaviour of ground state solution for the system with periodic couplings. Moreover, we prove the existence and nonexistence of ground state solution for the system with non-periodic couplings via Nehari manifold method. Especially, the ground state solution with both nontrivial components is obtained, and the sign of nontrivial components is considered.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper we are concerned with the existence, nonexistence and bifurcation of nontrivial solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries type system(NLS-NLS-KdV). First, we find some conditions to guarantee the existence and nonexistence of positive solution of the system. Second, we study the asymptotic behavior of the positive ground state solution. Finally, we use the classical Crandall-Rabinowitz local bifurcation theory to get the nontrivial positive solution. To get these results we encounter some new challenges. By combining the Nehari manifolds constraint method and the delicate energy estimates, we overcome the difficulties and find the two bifurcation branches from one semitrivial solution. This is an new interesting phenomenon but which have not previously been found.

Abstract:In this paper we study the following nonlinear Schrodinger equation {-Delta u+a(x)u=f(x,u), u epsilon H-1(R-N), where a is periodic with respect to x and f(x,u) is superlinear in u. Suppose that 0 lies in a gap of the spectrum sigma(-Delta+a). Without periodic assumption on f, we prove the existence of ground state solution for the system. Moreover, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of ground state solution.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following k-coupled nonlinear Schrodinger systems in the critical case: {-Delta u(i) +lambda(i)u(i) = mu(i)u(i)(3) + Sigma(j=1,)j(not equal i)(k) beta(ij)u(i)u(j)(2) in Omega, u(i) >= 0 in Omega, u(i)(x) = 0 on partial derivative Omega, i = 1, 2, ..., k. Here, Omega subset of R-4 is a smooth bounded domain, -lambda(1)(Omega) < lambda(i) < 0, mu(i) > 0 and beta(ij) = beta(ji) not equal 0 for every i not equal j, where lambda(1)(Omega) is the first eigenvalue of -Delta with the Dirichlet boundary condition. Note that the nonlinearity and the coupling terms are both critical in dimension 4 (i.e. 2N/(N - 2) = 4 when N = 4). Wecall the couplings beta(ij) are attractive if beta(ij) > 0, while repulsive stands for beta(ij) < 0. Under the assumption that all the couplings beta(ij) are purely attractive and large enough, we first show that this critical system has a fully nontrivial ground state solution, that is, a solution <(u)over right arrow> = (u(1), ..., u(k)) has all components nontrivial, under conditions providing additional vertical bar lambda(i) - lambda(i)vertical bar << 1, vertical bar beta(ij) - beta(i)'(j)'vertical bar << 1, while ground state solution may be semitrivial ((u) over right arrow has null components) without the above additional conditions. Whenthe systems admit mixed couplings, i.e. there exist (i, j) and (i', j') such that beta(ij) > 0 and beta(i)'(j)' < 0, we establish the existence of least energy positive solutions. The purpose of this paper is to solve some remaining open questions on Tavares and You (Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations 59:26, 2020).

Abstract:We consider ground states of the $N$ coupled fermionic nonlinear Schrödinger systems with the Coulomb potential $V(x)$ in the $L^2$-subcritical case. By studying the associated constraint variational problem, we prove the existence of ground states for the system with any parameter $\alpha>0$, which represents the attractive strength of the non-relativistic quantum particles. The limiting behavior of ground states for the system is also analyzed as $\alpha\to\infty$, where the mass concentrates at one of the singular points for the Coulomb potential $V(x)$.

Abstract:We study a class of Schrödinger-Kirchhoff system involving critical exponent. We aim to find suitable conditions to assure the existence of a positive ground state solution of Nehari-Pohouzaev type $u_{\varepsilon}$ with exponential decay at infinity for $\varepsilon$ and $ u_{\varepsilon}$ concentrates around a global minimum point of $ V$ as $ \varepsilon\rightarrow0^{+}.$ The nonlinear term includes the nonlinearity $f(u)\sim|u|^{p-1}u$ for the well-studied case $ p\in[3,5)$, and the less-studied case $p\in(2,3)$.

Abstract:We study the existence and concentration of bound states to N-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation -epsilon(2)Delta u(epsilon) + V(x)u(epsilon) = K(x)f(u(epsilon)), where N >= 3, epsilon > 0 is sufficiently small, and the function f(s) is nonnegative and asymptotically linear at infinity. More concretely, when f(s) similar to O(s) as s -> +infinity, the potential function V(x) lies in C-0(1)(R-N) with V(x) >= 0 and V(x) not equivalent to 0, and K(x) >= 0 is permitted to be unbounded under some other necessary restrictions, we can show that a positive H-1(R-N)-solution u(epsilon)(x) exists and concentrates around the local maximum point of the corresponding ground energy function.

Abstract:We prove an almost global existence result for the Klein-Gordon equation with the Kirchhoff-type nonlinearity on T-d with Cauchy data of small amplitude epsilon. We show a lower bound epsilon(-)(2N)(-2) for the existence time with any natural number N. The proof relies on the method of normal forms and induction. The structure of the nonlinearity is good enough that proceeds normal forms up to any order.

When the potential $V(x)$ decays at infinity like $(1+|x|)^{-\alpha}$ with $0<\alpha\le 2$ and $K(x)> 0$ is permitted to be unbounded under some necessary restrictions, we will show that at least one positive $H^1(\Bbb R^2)$-solution exists if it is assumed that the related ground energy function $G(\xi)$ of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation $ -\triangle u+V(\xi)u=K(\xi) |u|^{p-2}ue^{\alpha_{0}|u|^{\gamma}}$ has local minimum points. Meanwhile, the concentration property of $u_{\varepsilon}$ is also established as $\varepsilon$ tends to zero.

We show that the critical system with $rgeq 3$ has a positive least energy solution for all $beta_{jk}u003e0$. However, there is no ground state solutions if all $beta_{jk}$ are negative. also prove that the positive solutions of the system are radially symmetric. Furthermore, we obtain the uniqueness theorem for the case $rgeq 3$ with $N=4$ and the existence theorem when $r=2$ with general coupling exponents.

Abstract:This article presents some controllability and stabilization results for a system of two coupled linear Schrödinger equations in the one-dimensional case where the state components are interacting through the Kirchhoff boundary conditions. Considering the system in a bounded domain, the null boundary controllability result is shown. The result is achieved thanks to a new Carleman estimate, which ensures a boundary observation. Additionally, this boundary observation together with some trace estimates, helps us to use the Gramian approach, with a suitable choice of feedback law, to prove that the system under consideration decays exponentially to zero at least as fast as the function for some .
