Abstract:The existence of non-unique solutions of finite kinetic energy for the three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations is proved in the slightly supercritical hyper-dissipative setting introduced by Tao. The result is based on the convex integration techniques of Buckmaster and Vicol and extends Luo and Titi result in the slightly supercritical setting. To be able to be closer to the threshold identified by Tao, we introduce the impulsed Beltrami flows, a variant of the intermittent Beltrami flows of Buckmaster and Vicol.

If the solution satisfies a slightly supercritical assumption, we will prove that v is regular. This extends the results of Chen-Strain-Tsai-Yau, Koch-Nadirashvili-Seregin-Sverak and Lei-Zhang where regularities under critical assumptions were proven.

Abstract:In this manuscript, we aim to establish global existence of weak solutions with higher regularity to the compressible Navier-Stokes equations under no-slip boundary conditions. Though Lions\cite{L1} and Feireisl\cite{F1} have established global weak solutions with finite energy under Dirichelet boundary conditions by making use of so called effective viscous flux and oscillation defect measure,Hoff has investigated global weak solutions with higher regularity in \cite{H1,Hof2} when the domain is either whole space or half space with Navier-slip boundary conditions, yet the existence theory of global weak solution with higher regularity under Dirichlet boundary conditions remains unknown. In this paper we prove that the system will admit at least one global weak solutions with higher regularity as long as the initial energy is suitably small when the domain is a 2D solid disc. This is achieved by exploiting the structure of the exact Green function of the disc to decompose the effective viscous flux into three parts, which corresponds to the pressure term, boundary term and the remaining term respectively. In order to control the boundary term, one of the key observations is to use the geometry of the domain which sucessfully to bound the integral of the effective viscous flux where $L^1$ norm is always unbounded.

Abstract:Whether or not the solution to 2D resistive MHD equations is globally smooth remains open. This paper establishes the global regularity of solutions to the 2D almost resistive MHD equations, which require the dissipative operators $\mathcal{L}$ weaker than any power of the fractional Laplacian. The result is an improvement of the one of Fan et al. (Global Cauchy problem of 2D generalized MHD equations, Monatsh. Math., 175 (2014), pp. 127-131) which ask for $\alpha>0, \beta=1$.

Abstract:Chemin, Gallagher, and Paicu obtained in 2010 a class of large initial data that generate a global smooth solution to the three-dimensional, incompressible Navier-Stokes equation. The data varies slowly in the vertical direction-it is expressed as a function of epsilon x(3)-and it has a norm that blows up as the small parameter goes to zero. This type of initial data can be regarded as an ill prepared case, in contrast with the well prepared case treated in earlier papers. The data was supposed to evolve in a special domain, namely Omega = T-h(2) x R-v. The choice of a periodic domain in the horizontal variable played an important role.The aim of this article is to study the case where the fluid evolves in the whole space R-3. In this case, we have to overcome the difficulties coming from very low horizontal frequencies. We consider in this paper an intermediate situation between the well prepared case and ill prepared situation (the norms of the horizontal components of initial data are small but the norm of the vertical component blows up as the small parameter goes to zero). The proof uses the analytical-type estimates and the special structure of the nonlinear term of the equation.

Abstract:In a recent article, J.-Y. Chemin, I. Gallagher and M. Paicu obtained a class of large initial data generating a global smooth solution to the three dimensional, incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. This data varies slowly in the vertical direction (is a function on $\epsilon x_3$) and has a norm which blows up as the small parameter goes to zero. This type of initial data can be seen as the "ill prepared" case (in opposite with the "well prepared" case which was treated previously by J.-Y. Chemin and I. Gallagher). In that paper, the fluid evolves in a special domain, namely $\Omega=T^2_h\times\R_v$. The choice of a periodic domain in the horizontal variable plays an important role. Discontinuous solutions for the Navier-Stokes equations with density-dependent viscosity

Abstract:We prove existence of a unique global-in-time weak solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations that govern the motion of a compressible viscous fluid with density-dependent viscosity in two-dimensional space. The initial velocity belongs to the Sobolev space $H^1(\mathbb{R}^2)$, and the initial fluid density is $\alpha$-Hölder continuous on both sides of a $\mathscr{C}^{1+\alpha}$-regular interface with some geometrical assumption. We prove that this configuration persists over time: the initial interface is transported by the flow to an interface that maintains the same regularity as the initial one. Our result generalizes previous known of Hoff [21], Hoff and Santos [22] concerning the propagation of regularity for discontinuity surfaces by allowing more general nonlinear pressure law and density-dependent viscosity. Moreover, it supplements the work by Danchin, Fanelli and Paicu [6] with global-in-time well-posedness, even for density-dependent viscosity and we achieve uniqueness in a large space.

Abstract: This paper aims at the global regularity problem concerning the 2D incompressible Boussinesq equations with general critical dissipation. The critical dissipation refers to $\alpha +\beta=1$ when $\Lambda^\alpha \equiv (-\Delta)^{\frac{\alpha}{2}}$ and $\Lambda^\beta$ represent the fractional Laplacian dissipation in the velocity and the temperature equations, respectively. We establish the global regularity for the general case with $\alpha+\beta=1$ and $0.9132\approx \alpha_0<\alpha<1$. The cases when $\alpha=1$ and when $\alpha=0$ were previously resolved by Hmidi, Keraani and Rousset \cite{HKR1,HKR2}. The global existence and uniqueness is achieved here by exploiting the global regularity of a generalized critical surface quasi-gesotrophic equation as well as the regularity of a combined quantity of the vorticity and the temperature.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the global regularity problem for the 2D Rayleigh-Bénard equations with logarithmic supercritical dissipation. By exploiting a combined quantity of the system, the technique of Littlewood-Paley decomposition and Besov spaces, and some commutator estimates, we establish the global regularity of a strong solution to this equations in the Sobolev space $H^{s}(\mathbb{R}^{2})$ for $s \ge2$.

Abstract:We study a 1D transport equation with nonlocal velocity. First, we prove eventual regularization of the viscous regularization when dissipation is in the supercritical range with non-negative initial data. Next, we will prove global regularity for solutions when dissipation is slightly supercritical. Both results utilize a nonlocal maximum principle.

Abstract:We consider the global well-posedness of the inhomogeneous incompressible Navier-Stokes-Korteweg system with a general capillary term. Based on the maximal regularity property, we obtain the global existence and uniqueness of solutions to the incompressible Navier-Stokes-Korteweg system with variable viscosity and capillary terms. By assuming the initial density $\rho_0$ is close to a positive constant, additionally, the initial velocity $u_0$ and the initial density $\nabla \rho_0$ are small in critical space $\dot B^{-1+d/p}_{p,1}(\mathbb R^{d})$ $(1<p<d).$ This work relies on the maximal regularity property of the heat equation, of the Stokes equation, and of the Lamé equation.

Abstract:We consider the global existence for large perturbation solutions of scalar conservation laws with nonlocal dissipative structures.At the very beginning, based on the Green function method and the Littlewood-Paley decomposition, we establish a new regularity criterion to improve the regularity of the solution. It is worth to point out that the key points in the regularity criterion are that $\|u\|_{L^\infty}<+\infty$ for $0\leq~s<1$ and $\|u\|_{C^\alpha}<+\infty$ for $s=1$. Thus, in the following part we devote ourselves to verify the two key points. For the subcritical case, we obtain the boundedness of solution in $L^p$ for any $p\in[2,~+\infty)$ by the maximum principle. Thanks to the nonlinear maximum principle, $C^\alpha$ boundedness is established for the critical case.Finally, the global existence of classical solutions to the scalar conservation with large initial data is obtained.

Abstract:In this paper we prove the global in time well-posedness of strong solutions to the Quantum-Navier-Stokes equation driven by random initial data and stochastic external force. In particular, we first give a general local well-posedness result. Then, by means of the Bresch-Desjardins entropy, higher order energy estimates, and a continuation argument we prove that the density never vanishes, and thus that local strong solutions are indeed global.

Abstract:This paper studies solutions of the two-dimensional incompressible Boussinesq equations with fractional dissipation. The spatial domain is a periodic box. The Boussinesq equations concerned here govern the coupled evolution of the fluid velocity and the temperature and have applications in fluid mechanics and geophysics. When the dissipation is in the supercritical regime (the sum of the fractional powers of the Laplacians in the velocity and the temperature equations is less than 1), the classical solutions of the Boussinesq equations are not known to be global in time. Leray–Hopf type weak solutions do exist. This paper proves that such weak solutions become eventually regular (smooth after some time T>0$$T>0$$) when the fractional Laplacian powers are in a suitable supercritical range. This eventual regularity is established by exploiting the regularity of a combined quantity of the vorticity and the temperature as well as the eventual regularity of a generalized supercritical surface quasi-geostrophic equation.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate some priori estimates to provide the critical regularity criteria for incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on and super critical surface quasi-geostrophic equations on . Concerning the Navier-Stokes equations, we demonstrate that a Leray-Hopf solution is regular if , or in Lorentz space , with . Additionally, an alternative regularity condition is expressed as ( ), contingent upon a smallness assumption on the norm . For the surface quasi-geostrophic equations, we derive that a Leray-Hopf weak solution is smooth for any small enough. Similar to the case of Navier-Stokes equations, we derive regularity criteria in more refined spaces, i.e. Lorentz spaces and addition of two critical spaces , with smallness assumption on .
