Abstract:We prove the existence and uniqueness of nonnegative solutions to the following singular anisotropic elliptic equation involving the Finsler p-Laplace operator: where is a bounded smooth domain, , , , in (not identically zero), is a Finsler norm, and it is subject to zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. In particular, we obtain our results under very general summability assumptions on the source term .

Abstract:We prove the existence of solutions to the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem associated with a class of doubly nonlinear anisotropic evolution equations. We also demonstrate the existence of solutions to the corresponding Cauchy problem on $\mathbb{R}^N\times(0,T)$. Under some assumptions on the Caratheodory vector field we prove a comparison principle and utilize it to obtain a uniqueness result for the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem.

Abstract:In this paper we study a class of nonlinear anisotropic parabolic problems in bounded domains. In detail, we study the influences of the initial data and the forcing term f on the behavior of the solutions. We prove existence and uniqueness results. We indagate on the behavior in time of the solutions with a particular attention to the autonomous case f(x, t) = f(x).

Abstract:We provide a direct proof of existence and uniqueness of weak solutions to a broad family of strongly nonlinear elliptic equations with lower order terms. The leading part of the operator satisfies general growth conditions settling the problem in the framework of fully anisotropic and inhomogeneous Musielak--Orlicz spaces generated by an $N$-function $M:\Omega\times\mathbb{R}^d\to[0,\infty)$. Neither $\nabla_2$ nor $\Delta_2$ conditions are imposed on $M$. Our results cover among others problems with anisotropic polynomial, Orlicz, variable exponent, and double phase growth.

Abstract:In this paper, we will show the existence of partially regular solutions to the initial–boundary value problem for Landau–Lifshitz equations with nonpositive anisotropy constants in three or four space dimensions. The partial regularity is proved up to the boundary both for the Dirichlet problem and for the Neumann problem. In addition, for the Neumann case, a generalized stability condition which ensures the partial regularity is given. For equations with positive or negative anisotropy coefficients, we will give two results of existence and uniqueness for the solutions corresponding to ground states.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a noncoercive nonlinear elliptic operator with a drift term in an unbounded domain. The singular first-order term grows like |E(x)||∇u|, where E(x) is a vector field belonging to a suitable Morrey-type space. Our operator arises as a stationary equation of diffusion–advection problems. We prove existence, regularity, and uniqueness theorems for a Dirichlet problem. To obtain our main results, we use the weak maximum principle and the same a priori estimates.

We assume that $f \in L^r(\Omega)$ with $r>N/p$. The feature of this study is the inclusion of a possibly singular gradient-dependent term $\Psi(u,\nabla u)=\sum_{j=1}^N |u|^{\theta_j-2}u\, |\partial_j u|^{q_j}$, where $\theta_j>0$ and $0\leq q_j<p_j$ for $1\leq j\leq N$. Abstract:We study mixed local and nonlocal elliptic equation with a variable coefficient $\rho$. Under suitable assumptions on the behaviour at infinity of $\rho$, we obtain uniqueness of solutions belonging to certain weighted Lebsgue spaces, with a weight depending on the coefficient $\rho$. The hypothesis on $\rho$ is optimal; indeed, when it fails we get nonuniqueness of solutions. We also investigate the parabolic counterpart of such equation.

Abstract:We provide a new existence result for abstract nonlinear operator systems in normed spaces, by means of topological methods. The solution is located within the product of annular regions and conical shells. The theoretical result possesses a wide range of applicability, which, for concreteness, we illustrate in the context of systems of nonlinear Poisson equations subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. For the latter problem we obtain existence and localization of solutions having all components nontrivial. This is also illustrated with an explicit example in which we also furnish a numerically approximated solution, consistent with the theoretical results.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove the existence of weak, veryweak and duality solutions to a class of elliptic problems involving singularity and measure data which is given by: $-\Delta u+(-\Delta)^s u = \frac{f(x)}{u^\gamma} +\mu$ in $\Omega$ with the zero Dirichlet boundary data $u=0$ in $\mathbb R^N \setminus \Omega$. The existence of weak solutions is obtained by approximating a sequence of problems for $0<\gamma\leq1$ and $\gamma>1$. We employ Schauder's fixed point theorem and embeddings of Marcinkiewicz spaces. The novelty of our work is that we prove the existence of a duality solution and its equivalence with weak solutions to the problem $\mathcal{L}u=\mu$. Moreover, we prove a veryweak maximum principle and a Kato-type inequality for the mixed local-nonlocal operator $\mathcal{L}=-\Delta +(-\Delta)^s$, which are crucial tools to guarantee the existence of veryweak solutions to the problem. Using a Kato-type inequality, maximum principle together with sub-super solution method, we prove the existence of veryweak solution for $0<\gamma<1$. Our work extends the studies due to Oliva and Petitta [ESAIM Control Optim. Calc. Var., 22(1):289--308, 2016.] and Petitta [Adv. Nonlinear Stud., 16(1):115--124, 2016.] for the mixed local-nonlocal operator.
