Abstract:This study was conducted on a linear shaped charge with a double-angle liner. The double-angle liner has a large inner apex angle and a small outer liner angle. Experiments and numerical analysis were performed in a penetration performance study, and it was confirmed that the experimental results and numerical analysis results matched well. As a result of the numerical analysis, at the standoff distance of 1.5 CD, the penetration performance of the double-angle linear shaped charge was improved by 14.5% compared to the conventional linear shaped charge, and at the standoff distance of 2.5 CD, the penetration performance was improved by 12.5%. For miniaturization, numerical analysis was performed by reducing the height of the explosive and the standoff distance. As a result of the numerical analysis, the penetration performance of the double-angle linear shaped charge was improved by 14.6% compared to the conventional linear shaped charge. Double-angle liners are effective in improving the penetration performance of linear shaped charges.

What problem does this paper attempt to address?
The problem this paper attempts to address is to improve the penetration performance of Linear Shaped Charge (LSC) by changing the shape of the liner and achieving miniaturization. Specifically, the researchers designed a Double-Angle Linear Shaped Charge (DALSC) with a liner that has a larger inner apex angle and a smaller outer apex angle. Through experiments and numerical analysis, the researchers verified the penetration performance of this new liner at different distances and explored its potential for miniaturization. ### Research Background Linear Shaped Charge (LSC) is an explosive device used for cutting and separating materials, widely applied in interstage separation devices of aerospace launch vehicles, missiles, and other fields. Compared to traditional Conical Shaped Charge (CSC), LSC has different working principles and performance characteristics. Since the liner of LSC forms a metal jet in the vertical direction and continuously explodes along the longitudinal direction, its jet velocity and penetration performance are influenced by various factors such as the angle of the liner, charge height, and standoff distance. ### Research Objectives 1. **Improve Penetration Performance**: Enhance the penetration performance of LSC by changing the shape of the liner, particularly by using a double-angle liner. 2. **Achieve Miniaturization**: Optimize the design of the liner to reduce the overall height of LSC, making it suitable for applications with space constraints. ### Main Methods 1. **Experimental Study**: Conducted penetration experiments at different standoff distances and measured the penetration depth. 2. **Numerical Simulation**: Used AUTODYN-2D software for numerical simulation to analyze the impact of different design parameters on penetration performance. ### Experimental Results - At a standoff distance of 1.5 CD, the penetration performance of the double-angle LSC improved by 14.5% compared to the traditional LSC. - At a standoff distance of 2.5 CD, the penetration performance of the double-angle LSC improved by 12.5%. - By reducing the charge height and standoff distance, the advantages of the double-angle LSC in terms of miniaturization were further verified. ### Conclusion The double-angle liner performs excellently in improving the penetration performance of LSC and contributes to its miniaturization. These results provide important references for designing more efficient and compact LSCs.
