Abstract:This paper proposes a numerical approach based on the fractional complex transform and the homotopy perturbation method to solving the space-time frac- tional Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (mBBM) equation with Caputo fractional deriva- tive. Approximated solutions with high accuracy are provided without lineariza- tion or complicated computation. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of this method.

Abstract:In the present paper, a generalized local Taylor formula with the local fractional derivatives (LFDs) is proposed based on the local fractional calculus (LFC). From the fractal geometry point of view, the theory of local fractional integrals and derivatives has been dealt with fractal and continuously non-differentiable functions, and has been successfully applied in engineering problems. It points out the proof of the generalized local fractional Taylor formula, and is devoted to the applications of the generalized local fractional Taylor formula to the generalized local fractional series and the approximation of functions. Finally, it is shown that local fractional Taylor series of the Mittag-Leffler type function is discussed.

Abstract:In this paper, through theory of fuzzy complex analysis, we introduce some representations of r -cuts of trivial fuzzy zero, nontrivial fuzzy zero and fuzzy complex numbers in polar form on complex plane and establish some of their basic properties. Based on this, the addition and scalar multiplication operations of fuzzy complex numbers are established and the calculus of fuzzy complex-variable functions is studied. Moreover, we introduce a notion of fuzzy Ortigueira fractional derivative of fuzzy complex-variable functions and develop a theory of fuzzy fractional calculus on complex plane including some geometric features. As applications, the existence and uniqueness theorem of solutions for nonlinear fuzzy fractional complex-variable differential equations is established and some examples are provided.

Abstract:Local fractional calculus deals with everywhere continuous but nowhere differentiable functions in fractal space. The Yang-Fourier transform based on the local fractional calculus is a generalization of Fourier transform in fractal space. In this paper, local fractional continuous non-differentiable functions in fractal space are studied, and the generalized model for the Yang-Fourier transforms derived from the local fractional calculus are introduced. A generalized model for the Yang-Fourier transforms in fractal space and some results are proposed in detail.

Abstract:A fractal–fractional calculus is presented in term of a generalized gamma function (l−gamma function: Γl(.)). The suggested operators are given in the symmetric complex domain (the open unit disk). A novel arrangement of the operators shows the normalization associated with every operator. We investigate a number of significant geometric features thanks to this. Additionally, some integrals, such the Alexander and Libra integral operators, are associated with these operators. Simple power functions are among the illustrations that are provided. Additionally, the formulation of the discrete l−fractal–fractional operators is conducted. We demonstrate that well-known examples are involved in the extended operators.

Abstract:By using the Riemann-Liouville type fractional integral operators we shall reduce the complex Fourier-Jacobi transforms of even functions on $\mathbf{R}$ to the Euclidean Fourier transforms. As an application of the reduction formula, Parseval's formula and an inversion formula of the complex Jacobi transform are easily obtained. Moreover, we shall introduce a class of even functions, not $C^\infty$ and not compactly supported on $\mathbf{R},$ whose transforms have meromorphic extensions on the upper half plane.

Abstract:Fractional calculus is at this stage an arena where many models are still to be introduced, discussed and applied to real world applications in many branches of science and engineering where nonlocality plays a crucial role. Although researchers have already reported many excellent results in several seminal monographs and review articles, there are still a large number of non-local phenomena unexplored and waiting to be discovered. Therefore, year by year, we can discover new aspects of the fractional modeling and applications. This review article aims to present some short summaries written by distinguished researchers in the field of fractional calculus. Abstract:This paper introduces the fractional Fourier series on the fractional torus and proceeds to investigate several fundamental aspects. Our study includes topics such as fractional convolution, fractional approximation, fractional Fourier inversion, and the Poisson summation formula. We also explore the relationship between the decay of its fractional Fourier coefficients and the smoothness of a function. Additionally, we establish the convergence of the fractional Féjer means and Bochner–Riesz means. Finally, we demonstrate the practical applications of the fractional Fourier series, particularly in the context of solving fractional partial differential equations with periodic boundary conditions, and showcase the utility of approximation methods on the fractional torus for recovering non-stationary signals.

Fractional Derivatives from the Perspective of the Minkowski's Space-Time

Abstract:This paper deals with the fractional derivatives from the beginning of the definition. Based on the conception of the Minkowski's space-time, a revised version of the definition is given. The new version of the definition possesses the properties of locality, shift invariant, served as the coefficients of the Taylor's expansions, Leibnitz's rule etc., which the classical derivative have. The new fractional derivatives can be got by local differential analysis and to model the fractional differential equations, too. Moreover, we take the fractional derivative to analyze the functions of time processes, which are expressed by generalized Taylor's expansions, and to look back upon the histories based on the information of nowadays. The theory is applied to the prediction and gets some interesting results, too. Finally, numerical formula for calculating the fractional derivatives and some examples of the mathematical modeling for fractional differential equation are given.

Abstract:Theory and method of fractional operator which is used to describe intermediate processes and critical phenomena in physics and its applications to the modern mechanics were introduced in this paper.It was pointed that the problems of classical mechanics and linear physics,such as stochastic fluctuation of turbulence velocity fields,Brown motion,memory of viscoelastic material,face the challenge of fractional operator.Applications of fractional operator in complex systems,which include solid heredity dynamics,non-Newtonian fluid mechanics,biophysics and biomechanics,fractional anomalous diffusion,stochastic walk theory and DLA theory,were discussed.The authors' researches on this area were introduced,and prospects of the subject were forecasted finally.

Abstract:The theories of fractional Laplacians and of fractional calculus with respect to functions are combined to produce, for the first time, the concept of a fractional Laplacian with respect to a bijective function. The theory is developed both in the 1‐dimensional setting and in the general n ‐dimensional setting. Fourier transforms with respect to functions are also defined, and the relationships between Fourier transforms, fractional Laplacians, and Marchaud‐type derivatives are explored. Function spaces for these operators are carefully defined, including weighted Lp spaces and a new type of Schwartz space. The theory developed is then applied to construct solutions to some partial differential equations involving both fractional time derivatives and fractional Laplacians with respect to functions, with illustrative examples.

Abstract:Fractals, Ahead of Print. Fractal geometry plays an important role in the description of the characteristics of nature. Local fractional calculus, a new branch of mathematics, is used to handle the non-differentiable problems in mathematical physics and engineering sciences. The local fractional inequalities, local fractional ODEs and local fractional PDEs via local fractional calculus are studied. Fractional calculus is also considered to express the fractal behaviors of the functions, which have fractal dimensions. The interesting problems from fractional calculus and fractals are reported. With the scaling law, the scaling-law vector calculus via scaling-law calculus is suggested in detail. Some special functions related to the classical, fractional, and power-law calculus are also presented to express the Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts function, Mittag-Leffler function and Weierstrass–Mandelbrot function. They have a relation to the ODEs, PDEs, fractional ODEs and fractional PDEs in real-world problems. Theory of the scaling-law series via Kohlrausch–Williams–Watts function is suggested to handle real-world problems. The hypothesis for the tempered Xi function is proposed as the Fractals Challenge, which is a new challenge in the field of mathematics. The typical applications of fractal geometry are proposed in real-world problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we first discuss the convolution series that are generated by Sonine kernels from a class of functions continuous on a real positive semi-axis that have an integrable singularity of power function type at point zero. These convolution series are closely related to the general fractional integrals and derivatives with Sonine kernels and represent a new class of special functions of fractional calculus. The Mittag-Leffler functions as solutions to the fractional differential equations with the fractional derivatives of both Riemann-Liouville and Caputo types are particular cases of the convolution series generated by the Sonine kernel κ(t)=tα−1/Γ(α),0<α<1. The main result of the paper is the derivation of analytic solutions to the single- and multi-term fractional differential equations with the general fractional derivatives of the Riemann-Liouville type that have not yet been studied in the fractional calculus literature.
